Master subtitle censored by Amazon and Govt Censors mute dialogue only

Amazon who streamed d Master did a jugglery with the subtitles. A subtitle of a dialogue by Vijay says - Govt  doesnt listen to the people. The censored version had muted the word dialogue and left the subtitle as it is. Amazon streamed it with the dialogue but the subtitle went with a blank where the word Govt was to come.

Viewers mocked at Amazon for this `censorship' and asked who it was afraid of ? Somefelt that the Censors were much bolder that they  left the subtitle intact.  Netizens are wondering when films like Tandav and many others streamed on  OTT platforms are under attack for showing films with heavy political overtones, why it had to fear the State Government ?

The question that arises is that the OTT platforms that do not fear the Central Government adopting a different yardstick for State Governments and regional films. Some say that the subtitle deletions are done after the censor cuts list is given and the subtitle that Amazon carried it was that but unmuted the dialogue as the OTT had earlier itself conveyed through the trailors that it was an uncensored one. Even the running duration was shown as 3hrd and 10 mins while theatres had a few minutes lesser than 3 hrs.

Amazon reports that 39 million views were recorded in three weekends of Master release.. OTT streaming gave Ajith fans to zoom in on a poster of a magazine that says Ajith suffers bone injury in accident. It was seen as a move to defame Ajith by Vijay fans.
