On Wednesday, Farhan Balaporia, content creator, claimed that his video criticising the actor had been taken down, labelling him insecure.

Without naming Vijay in the video, he said, "Now, I can't name him or her, but you will probably be able to guess as I tell the story. By the way, when a lion and tiger have a child, it's called a Liger." Liger was the title of the Puri Jagannadh film that marked Vijay's Hindi-language debut, but proved to be a failure at the box office. Later in the video, he said, "I have a friend named Arjun who is never ready on time." Vijay won fame with his hit, Arjun Reddy.

"The video that got taken down is basically him saying that Hollywood has bigger budgets because more people speak English, so the actors get paid more, and therefore they're more successful. My reaction was disagreeing with him, telling him that foreign films in different languages on low budgets have succeeded, whereas his own film with a high budget was unsuccessful," he added.

The creator also said "He'll just take it down again if I re-upload it because there is a clip of him in the reel," the creator said, promising to upload a new version where he will play the actor, and then post the reaction. In the caption, Farhan wrote, "Imagine being so insecure you can't take criticism from a random guy on the internet."

In the comments section, social media users guessed the actor in question was Vijay Deverakonda. One comment read, "Oh man. Such an insecure person he is, and I love this sarcasm." Another said, "CEO of pettiness." Another posted , "He must have said 'I...I...am...a...fighter' while taking down your video."

At 25, Naslen Called Superstar, Films Earn Rs 100 Crore

One of the most notable points is that, Naslen has managed to score not one but two films in the Rs 100 crore club. All this, at the age of 25, a feat rarely achieved by young actors.

In 2024, he shot to fame with Premalu a romantic comedy film directed by Girish A D and produced by Bhavana Studios, Fahadh Faasil and Friends, and Working Class Hero. The film which also featured Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Akhila Bhargavan, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Mathew Thomas and Althaf Salim hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. It went on to become the sixth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time and the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024. In 2025, he won acclaim for his role in Alappuzha Gymkhana. Although the film didn't hit the Rs 100 crore mark, the Khalid Rahman, directorial earned Rs 65 crore. The film also starred Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Franco Francis, Baby Jean and Shiva Hariharan.

Another film this year, Lokah, sees him play 'second' role to Kalyani Priyadarshan first female superhero of Malayalam cinema. The fact that he didn't mind being protected by the 'heroine', deserves appreciation. The film is expected to earn more than Rs 100 crore and it currently the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.

In a post shared by Naslen, where he is seen posing with Lokah producer Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas, has gone viral. Dulquer Salmaan has commented on the picture with the message "Edaaaa!!! Superstar".

Hridayapooravam is a family genre, and Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra took a very big lead from the evening shows on the first day. 

With Mohanlal’s stardom, Hridayapooravam opens bigger than Lokah on the first day, but today, which is the second day of both films, Lokah takes a clear lead, and it is trending over double of Mohanlal’s film.

The same trend is likely to continue in the coming days, which means Hridayapooravam might emerge as a decent success, whereas Lokah will be heading for a massive blockbuster run. Dulquer Salmaan is being appreciated for producing this female centric superhero film. Many have praised Kalyani Priyadarshan for her performance, calling it stunning and powerful, adding to the film’s growing reputation among Malayalam and pan-Indian audiences. Trade experts believe Lokah is a true pan-Indian film from Malayalam cinema, even without big stars. If the film performs well at the box office, it could inspire other industries to shape small-budget pan-Indian movies with strong storytelling. Though Lokah did not open big, the positive word of mouth is now driving ticket bookings upward. All eyes are on how it performs in the coming days and whether it sets new records in collections across India.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to make his debut as a lead hero with a film directed by Arun Matheswaran. The latest news is that he pairs up with Mirna Menon.

The film’s pre-production work is going on currently, and it is being said that the team is discussing with Mirna Menon to pair up against Lokesh Kanagaraj in this action drama. She was previously seen in Jailer as Rajinikanth’s daughter-in-law.

Produced by Sun Pictures, this film will go on floors this year-end, and the Kaithi director also took part in some training to play a lead hero.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s upcoming two films, LIK and Dude, have been announced for Diwali release, and there was a report that both films will arrive on the same day. But Pradeep Ranganathan confirms that only one film will be released this Diwali.

A few days ago, both films’ teams started promotions with the festival release tag. Lately the LIK (Love Insurance Kompany) team released a teaser, and Dude released its first single.

With this, audiences expected that they would witness a surprise clash on Diwali, as both films feature the same hero. But Pradeep Ranganathan officially confirms that only one film will arrive this Diwali. LIK, as per the plan, has to release first, but due to some financial issues, the movie’s progress was delayed. Now, if they are able to sort the issues, then it will be the only film that is likely to arrive for Diwali, or else Dude will be released in its place.

Naslen reminds Priyan of Vishnu Vijayam Kamal

 

Priyadarshan was about to direct Anbe Sivam with Kamal Haasan but it fell through. Later he directed the Hindi remake of Thevar Magan with Anil Kapoor. Kamal opted out of doing the remake of the film produced and directed by him as he wanted Dilip Kumar to essay Sivaji Ganesan’s role but could do so. Now Priyan who is Kochi for filming of the Hindi remake of Oppam that he directed in Malaylam was present at a promotional event of the film Lokah that has his daughter Kalyani in a central role of a superwoman. Here he startled everybody by saying Naslen was the second coming of Kamal Haasan. Naslen stood up and thanled the Directpr for the compliment. Sharing the screen with Kalyani in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, Naslen leads what is being touted as one of the most ambitious Malayalam films in recent years. Written and directed by Tharangam-fame Dominic Arun, the upcoming fantasy spectacle promises to fuse myth and dystopia in a striking new visual language. Actor Santhy Balachandran has contributed as an additional screenplay writer and dramaturgist, while Dulquer Salmaan produces the film under his Wayfarer Films banner.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra releases worldwide on August 28, clashing with Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam. Adding to the festive weekend, Fahadh Faasil’s Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, also featuring Kalyani, opens a day later.

Priyadarshan, meanwhile, is directing Haiwaan, a Hindi reimagining of his Malayalam thriller Oppam. Saif Ali Khan plays the blind protagonist originally essayed by Mohanlal, while Akshay Kumar is reported to step into the antagonist’s role.

Premalu fame Naslen GF is  Anarkali Nazar . Anarkali Nazar has acted as Kunchacko Boban's heroine in the film Mohan Kumar Fans. She has also acted in the film Ntikkakkakkoru Premandaarnnu. Naslen, the Malayalam actor, was offered a role in Ajith Kumar's "Good Bad Ugly", but he declined due to prior commitments with the film "Alappuzha Gymkhana". The role Naslen was offered was that of Ajith Kumar's son in the movie. "Good Bad Ugly" was a successful Tamil film, achieving the highest grossing status in 2025. 

Naslen’s Alappuzha Gymkhana is mounted at a scale of 12 crore. With its current India net collection of 43.73 crore, its ROI (Return On Investment) comes to 31.73 crore. This results in the ROI percentage coming to a whopping 264%. On its 26th day, the Naslen starrer earned 7 lakhs. This was around a drop of 66% since the movie amassed 21 lakhs on its previous day. The total India net collection of the film now comes to 43.73 crores. The movie garnered 20 crores when it comes to the overseas collection. The worldwide collection of Alappuzha Gymkhana stands at 71.6 crores. The film has been helmed by Khalid Rahman and also stars Lukman Avaran in the lead role.

Social media is all praise for Lalettan’s son Pranav Mohanlal for his simplicity and also praise for his mother Suchithra. Not only this but the 5-day collections was 34% higher than the opening day. For the unversed, the movie opened at 2 crores. The total India net collection of the film now comes to 12.83 crores*.

With this, Tourist Family is inching towards 15 crores. Not only this but it is also pacing towards the profit-making zone in a steady manner. The M Sasikumar starrer is mounted at a budget of 16 crores.. With its current India net collection of 12.83 crores, the film has covered around 80% of its budget. If the positive word of mouth remains consistent, it might soon cross its entire budget. Not only this, but the Indian net collection of Tourist Family is also 91% higher than the lifetime collection of M Sasikumar’s last movie. The worldwide collection of Tourist Family now stands at 18.93 crores*. The film has been helmed by Abishan Jeevinth and also stars Simran in the lead role.

Including day 5, the total collection of HIT 3 now stands at 56.30 crore net at the Indian box office, as per Sacnilk. Reportedly, the film is made on a budget of 70 crores. If we compare this to the domestic collection, the film has already recovered 80.42% of the budget, which is a big relief.

In the next few days, the Nani starrer is expected to recover the entire cost and secure a clean success verdict at the Indian box office.

Set to be Tollywood’s 4th success in 2025

HIT 3 needs just 13.70 crores to recover the complete budget. Afterward, it will become a clean success, thus becoming Tollywood’s 4th successful film in 2025.
