Ajith's new wage pattern/ Mrunal says Dhanush no BF / Dhruv = Anupama Again-Rajini- Sasikumar ?

Latest buzz is that Ajith will be taking the TV- OTT- Digital rights of the film that will be directed by Adhik Ravichandram Teluguone reports that this practice was followed by Akshay Kumar when he floated his company and later while working for companies like Zee who are themselves in TV- OTT m he shifted to taking a daily salary of Rs 1 crore for a 9- 9 call sheet. Raahul who is the Producer would be happy by this arrangement as he need not block any money towards the hero.

 

As per the update, Rajinikanth has given his nod for actor and director Sasikumar. Sasikumar created a sensation with Tourist Family which was a massive hit. Sasikumar is rushed with acting offers after the film ended up as a massive hit. But Sasikumar has decided to direct a film. He worked on a script considering Rajinikanth and he narrated it to Superstar recently. Rajinikanth gave his formal nod recently and the project will be announced next year. Sasikumar will complete the entire script and he will narrate it to Rajinikanth very soon. An official announcement is awaited. The Jailer actor, who is on a schedule break, watched Sasikumar's Tourist Family  and was bowled over by it. Earlier He took to his Twitter page to share his views on the film Ayothi.  Actress Mrunal Thakur has recently addressed swirling dating rumors involving popular actor Dhanush, firmly brushing them aside as light-hearted and baseless. NTR Jr pressure on Andhra Theatres /Mani laughs at Dhruv Project / 3BHK OTT Flop-Maargan HIT

In this exclusive conversation with Subash K jha, Mani replied, “It is a good question. I don’t have an answer as yet. Working on a script. Will wait till it falls into place. At this juncture of my life and career, I am in no hurry to move from one project to another.” He laughed off on these rumours. “Even I am hearing these rumours. NTR Jr is said to have entered the WAR 2 distribution war in two Telugu States. With all recent releases like Mareesan starring Vadivelu- Fahadh Faazil dropping badly, Vijay sethupathi- Nithya Menen Thalaivan Thalaivi had a strong grip on box office especially on weekend and with four more days to go for Coolie, on Day 17, the gross stands at Rs 55 crores. The box office chart shows on second Sundays and Saturdays the film registered Rs 5 crores collection and an average of Rs 2 crores on other days.

Siddharth's drama film 3BHK has opened on a disappointing note on Prime Video as the lowest debut of 2025 - OTT Verdict. Siddharth‘s film has made the lowest debut for a film that arrived on an OTT platform other than Netflix after ending its entire theatrical run. During its theatrical run, the film earned 12.34 crore net in India. 3BHK, in its debut week, garnered a viewership of 1.2 million, taking the fifth spot in the list of the most-watched films in India on OTT for the week of July 28 – August 3, as per Ormax data.

The Tamil-language crime thriller Maargan, which hit theaters in June, is now making waves on Amazon Prime Video globally. Blending supernatural elements with an investigative plot, the film has now secured a spot among Prime Video’s list of top ten most popular movies worldwide, according to FlixPatrol.

 

Mrunal Thakur with Dhanush- Allu Arjun ; A comeback Plan / Rajini - Siva / Dhruv- Mani

 Why Mrunal Thakur needs a Dhanush romance and an possible Allu Arjun film rumour to move forward in Filmdom ? After earning praise in Telugu cinema with Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna, her recent ventures in Bollywood haven’t seen the same success. Despite an impressive start with Super 30, her following Hindi films like Batla House and the recent Son of Sardaar 2 failed to make a mark at the box office.

While directors Nithilan Saminathan, H. Vinoth, and Vivek Athreya are in talks with the legendary actor, a new speculation has surfaced on social media, and this is something that the fans didn’t wish for. Reportedly, Thalaivar might soon team up with Kanguva director Siruthai Siva. The project is said to be in its early stages, with discussions still ongoing.

Siruthai Siva delivered a disaster for the ages with Kanguva and was brutally trolled by netizens. If the Rajini–Siruthai Siva project materializes, it will mark their second collaboration after Annaatthe, which also received heavy criticism. Lipika Varma of Deccan Chronicle reports : Actor Dhruv Vikram, son of renowned star Chiyaan Vikram, is set to collaborate with veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam for an upcoming Tamil film, a source close to the project confirmed. Shedding light on the storyline, the source revealed, “It’s a simple Chennai-based love drama centered around a cop. Naturally, it’s a love story between a police officer and a city girl.” Interestingly, the source added that Mani Ratnam is returning to his roots with this project. “This time, Mani Ratnam is making a film purely in Tamil. It is not a pan-India film. However, the makers do plan to dub it in Telugu and Hindi after its release.”

Regarding the production schedule, the source shared, “Filming for this Dhruv-starrer is expected to begin in September 2025 and will wrap up in just 60 days, by February 2026. Interestingly, it is also said to be the most modestly budgeted film of Mani Ratnam’s career.”
Dhruv has recently wrapped up work on Bison, directed by Mari Selvaraj, which is scheduled for release on October 17, 2025, during the Diwali weekend.

Actress Rukmini Vasanth, whose last release didn’t fare well at the box office, has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Dhruv. She is currently shooting for NTR31.

Dhanush film climax changed through AI / Finally Dhruv Vikram film Release Date

 Dhanush Hindi film “Raanjhanaa” .will have a re-release with a Tamil version and it will have the Dhanush being alive in the climax. In the Hindi version, he dies. The Hindi was a hit . EROS who is re0releasing it with AI is doing this change. Probably after Kuberaa response in Tamil Badu, they came to this conclusion. Dhanush fans felt that in Kuneera the actor was wasted and without any heroism, The film was a washout in Tamil Badu but in Andhra States, it was a hit. Reason being that Telugu audience webt by Bagarjuna’s character, After OTT release, many feel that Nagarjuna character should not have been killed. The Hindi film was released as "Ambikapathy" in the Tamil dubbed version. It went unnoticed and Dhanush at that time was no Mass hero. Director Anand L Rai upset with this announced that he was no more associatated with this AI version and termed it unethical.

"My return to Theatres after 6 long years. BISON will be taken across Tamil Nadu through @5starsenthil this Diwali. October 17th, 2025," wrote Dhurv Vikram in the Instagram post. Dhruv Vikram has been focusing on his music career for the past three years. He was last seen in the film 'Mahaan', which was released on Amazon Prime Video, skipping the theatrical release.

The actor shared the screen with his father Vikram, who played the role of a liquor baron, while Dhruv played the character of a cop who is after his empire.

Kamal drops Anbarivu project - Dhruv Vikram Bison reshoot after Luber Pandhu

 Kamal Haasan has done it again, He has dropped the idea to produce a film with stunt choreographers Anbarivu duo. The project with STR is is said to have passed hands to another producer. Has it been shelved ? Now this film was announced with Kamal praising the duo skyhigh as directors.. They had collaborated in Vikram and later in Thug Life. It seems that the subject was not Pan Indian and after Bollywood film Kill that is considered as the top action film, what Anbarivu offers was nothing new. Secondly, Lawrence is doing the Kill remake in Tamil - Telugu. RKFI had toyed with the idea to do with new faces but it looked a big risk as the budget for action scenes was very high. Earlier Vignesh Shivan - Pradeep movie too from RKFI was dropped.

Raghav a Bigg Boss reality show contestant who entered bug screen with Kill got lot of praise from many but he treasures the message from Fahadh Faasil who wrote you shocked me. Raghav said that he was floored as he was still not got over Avesham hangover.

Swasika and Nikila Vimal are the two Malayalam actress who are toast of Kollywood after Luber Pandhu and Vaazhai. Swasika said that long time back she did act in a Tamil film but it did not click. Now Luber Pandhu, a sleeper hit and has given her recognition and so decided to set up shop in Kodambakkam. Nikila Vimal's Vaazhai has similarly giver her a big boost. She said that when Director Mari Selvaraj took 30 takes, she felt that she was not cut out for films. Dhruv Vikram Bison for a reshoot after Luber Pandhu 

Director Thamizharasan of Luber Pandhu said that it was the Malayalam film  Ayyappan and Koshy that gave him the idea to use the the theme of ego in the film. He said that the sports film which triggered on family rivalry , love and casteism had to be different and how to build a clash between the two main characters and then the Malayalam film gave him the idea of using ego conflict.  Sucess of Luber Pandhu has created a problem for Bison the movie starring Dhruv Vikram and director Mari Selvaraj. 70 % of movie is over. Now this film being a sports drama will face comparison with Luber andhu and now it looks that Bison like many earlier films is centered around caste rivalry and offers nothing new. Rajisha Vijayan and Anupama Parameswaran are the heroines. A reshoot is on the cards. Pa Ranjith is one of the producers.

Shine Tom Chacko the  Malayalam actor who has acted in big films like Vijay's Beast to latest NTR Jr's Devara 1 says that all these big budgeted  films are shot inside studio sets and using gree mat technology. He said everything from Mall in Beast to the sea shots in Devara are all on green mat. He said that only Malayalam films do shooting in actual locales and give the real feel. He said that this VFX in these films make it w look jaded after some time. The reason for shooting in sets is because the production cannot control the crowds that come to see the actors in outdoor locations.

Maahan ; Dhruv Vikram has arrived

 

Maahan is out and out a film that can be said to be a Dhruv Vikram vehicle to stardom. Karthik Subburaj has given enough meat to Dhruv to chew on and he does it with great relish,  One also need to acknowledge that Vikram does not have  much scenes that brings him out his best. The film's strength is that the three pivotal characters - Vikram- Dhruv and Bobby Simha have been well etched . 

The conflicts scene between father - son is just superb. Dhruv lives the role of a cop with a revenge . His body language , dialogue delivery are just a treat. For Vikram fans they can see Dhruv washing his face his face with soda ( instead of beer like in Swamy) or the dialogue Athuku melay ( I). Good to see the Simha  all wanted to see. Simran role  is not effective.

There is lot of drama that does not connect. This leads  a lack of strong emotions in play. At places where you expect drama, it does not happen. Father- son first time meeting  while the one at Vikram- Simran meeting after two decades is just flat. Cinematography is top class like stunt choreography. Music is  ok. Finally, Dhruv Vikram proves he has with  him the goods to deliver.

Director Shankar son Arjith to debut in `Kadhal 2'

Director Shankar's son Arjith is to debut as hero in the sequel to the film `Kadhal' sequel directed by Balaji Sakthivel and produced by S Pictures. Sources say that Arjith completed direction course in New York Film Academy and returned back to Chennai. Now it looks like Arjith will don the grease pain instead.

Kadhal film had been an evergreen romantic tale that launched the career of director Balaji Saktivel and actors Sandhya and Bharat. Arjith's sister Aditi is already acting in a Tamil film Viruman  with Karthi as hero.  Arjith was first spotted in public when he came for the 2.0 audio launch in Dubai. Dhanush had come with his son and Rajinikanth's family. Later Arjith , Dhruv ( son of actor Vikram) and  Ameen ( son of A R Rahman) are good friends and posted pixs of them together. Dhruv is two films old and his second release Mahaan with Papa Vikram as co- actor is coming on OTT in FEB. Rahman's son is already a playback singer who has sung for a Hollywood film. Now Arjith will make his entry. Will friends Dhruv and Ameen join him?

Udhayanidhi Stalin wants Mari Selvaraj film to be his next release

 

Udhayanidhi Stalin after the Assembly session is over will  devote entire time towards the completion of the film directed by Mari Selvaraj, revealed a source.  Udhay plans to have Mari Selvaraj film as his first release  after being an MLA> The subject has the right elements Udhay is looking for . Mari's two earlier films dealt with the struggles of the backward castes. The actor- politician has told the director that he is to get more involved in the Government and be part of decision making. In view of this he wants to honour the commitment made to Mari Selvaraj and do the film  in one stretch. A R Rahman is to score the film.

Mari Selvaraj who has got the nod to commence work on Dhruv Vikram project has asked Udhayanidhi about it. Dhruv Vikram is said to be taking lessons from real life Kabbadi players and coaches. He was told that as soon as the House ends the session, he would be ready to attend the shoot and asked him to do all preparatory work.

Sources say that Udhayanidhi would after completing this film and winding up two more films that he has signed , would not taking be up any acting assignments. His banned Red Giant is already active in acquiring distribution of Tamil films and is said to have bought Kamal's Vikram. The business aspect of distribution would continue as usual. Till the present DMK rule continues, awould concentrate on his MLA duties and the youth wing affairs. The local body poll coming ahead would see him in a bigger role. Udhayanidhi has almost wrapped up shoot with director Magizh Thirumeni said to be a action thriller. He  started work on  this film soon after elections/ He has a film with Arunkumar Raja - remake of Article 15.

Mari Selvaraj a former associate of director Ram debut film Pariyerum Perumal with no Stars was a hit. His next with Dhanush was Karnan , yet another blockbuster hit.

Jan 29, 2021 : Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv has finally decided to tie-up with director Maari Selvaraj for his next to be produced by iconic director Pa Ranjith. After Vikram Prabhu , it is Darshan from the Sivaji clan that will don the greasepaint. He has zeroed in on director Seenu Ramasamy for his next. Keerthy Suresh’s father, a veteran producer, comes back after 2017 to make a film with his daughter and Tovino Thomas as hero. Rashmika Mandanna who was tipped to be heroine of Suriya has been dropped for  Priyanka Arul Mohan as the former  was demanding a fee that is equal to Lady Superstar .

After Arjun Reddy remake and that too with two versions , both flops, Dhruv Vikram was said to be hearing out stories that suited him. His next has to be right on the mark and this time the producer and director needed to be on the same page. Finally director Maari Selvaraj who finished his film Karnan with Dhanush ( An April mid release) and Dhruv have locked a script. The producer is none other director Paa Ranjith whose Neelam Productions produced Pariyerum Perumal with Selvaraj. The film was critically acclaimed and a box office hit.

After Prabhu, many actors from Sivaji clan have taken a shot at acting. Vikram Prabhu has managed to hold on despite many flops .. Ramkumar’s ( Sivaji’s eldest son) son Dushyanth took a shot at acting but backed off. Then Shivaji Dev, yet another son of Ramkumar entered filmdom. He has acted in three films and is still in the running. Ramkumar has two other sons who are twins- Darshan and Rishyan. Now Darshan has accepted to do a film with director Seenu  Ramasamy. Seenu who introduced Vijay Sethupathi, after Dharma Durai did Kanne kalaimaane with Udhaynidhi Stalin  (also producer). It bombed. Sethupathi  and Seenu together have two films awaiting release. Keerthy Suresh’s father Suresh Kumar is a veteran Malayalam film producer who has produced blockbusters ( Aaram Thampuran) and is a prominent person involved in Kerala film trade issues. After 2017 production  Matchbox with Roshan Mathew as lead, Suresh now comes back with ` Vaashi’. Keerthy  says about the film – “ Though it may sound easy that I am acting in a film produced by my father, it is not so. The film is directed by my childhood friend Vishnu G Ragav and hero ( Tovino), I like.”. Title was launched by Mohan Lal. Last seen in Miss India, Keerthy has begun shooting for her upcoming Telugu project, Sarkaru Vaari Paata opposite Mahesh Babu.  Her upcoming releases include Good Luck Sakhi and Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe. In Tamil, it was recently announced that Keerthy has signed a project titled Saani Kaayidham, which also stars filmmaker Selvaraghavan in a crucial role.

Suriya –Pandiraj in their next had planned to cast Rashmika Mandanna as heroine. Rashmika is making her debut in Sultan directed by Kakiyaraj with Karti as hero. As she plays a village girl in Sultan, Pandiraj had Rashmika in mind. The price that she quoted was mind boggling and was little less than Nayanthara, said a source close to production house, Sun Pictures. Reason was that `Pushpa’ with Allu Arjun was releasing in August and it was sure hit and that too a pan South hit. So the amount she asks is justifiable was her reason. Pandiraj felt that Suriya does not need the support of a pan South actress and cast Priyanka Mohan instead. Priyanka  makes  her Tamil debut in upcoming Sivakarthikeyan’s film Doctor with director Nelson. . Priyanka speaks fluent Tamil and this impressed Pandiraj and Suriya. Priyanka has done a Telugu film Gang Leader with Nani and has upcoming film with Sharwanand.
