Jeyam Ravi exits Thug Life - Thalapathy - Thalaivar Kerala meet OFF

News coming from Thug Life sets says that Jeyam Ravi has exited the film. This is a major exit after Dulquer Salman. Instead STR was brought in. Now the Serbian schedule in which Ravi was to take place was dropped and even in the Chennai schedule, Ravi was not called. Production House is not ready to give any concrete answers as Ravi has combination scenes with Kamal. Kamal is not able to give any clarity on the dates. Apart from this Ravi has to go in for a makeover. For PS 2 , Ravi had already given bulk dates but for a guest role it looks foolish. Apart from this recent film Siren of Ravi has done well and he is teaming up with Bro Mohan for Thani Oruvan sequel. Thalapathy Vijay is returning back to Chennai from Thiruvanthapuram as the schedule ends earlier than the 15 day one. On last day he has allowed his Kerala fans to view the shoot in Greenfield Stadium. So far all shoot was done in the night and now the filming will take place on day for Fans. Vijay spoke in a video to his Kerala fans and in Malayalam. Though the Director claims that as per new schedule, the shoot of remaining portions will be shot abroad. Thalaivar fans are waiting to prove their might as soon their HERO arrives in Thiruvanthapuram and now Vijay going early has averted a show of strength by two Star fan clubs on Kerala soil.

Guna caves and Rajiv murder- Rajini in Hindi film - Kamal inCoimbatore

Manjumel Boys the Malayalam film has excited the Kollywood biggies after the release. Right from Udhaynidhi Stalin onwards, everybody is raving about it. The disclosure that the Guna caves was recreated in a set in Perumbavoor as the authorities have banned any activity in the area, was another suprise. The real hero of the true incident was awarded the national award for bravery. Having said this, yours truly had a few thoughts to share about covering the shooting of the song Anbodu Kanmani in these cave for Guna. We the press team of five people were taken to the hill where the cave was located.From the top you can see a cave lit up and on the wall a torch of flame set up. Inside we could see Kamal – Roshinni and cameraman Venu. The lines would play out of the speaker and song motions would start. Only way to go in and out was a man made steps on side and a thick rope that was dangling from the top outlet. Quickest way was to latch on to rope and slide down or climb the rope to get out. Kamal asked DNS his Manager and Producer of the film to ask me and my colleague Vallabhan to not take a risk and venture inside. Others were hauled down and up by the rope handled by hefty men ho were Kodaikanal natives. During lunch break, Kamal said that e would send a car for me to reach his hotel for an interview scheduled for next morning. We were back in our cottages and spend our time in roaming the hill resort. By dusk, we started our session and went on to past midnight. As I was sitting in the balcony outside, I saw Sakthi, son of DNS running towards our cottage. He was shouting that Bad has happened. My first thought was that Kamal had slipped from the rope and got injured. Sakthi broke the news – Rajiv Gandhi was killed. Kamal got a call from Chennai. We were shocked and also scared. We had seen the aftermath of MGR death. Sakthi did a wise thing. He gathered as much vegetables, rice and dal in the night itself. The canteen in the cottage had dried up. We saw an elderly couple crying as they heard that their hotel back home was burnt by a mob. We stayed in Kamal’s room to watch the TV. Sarika was sobbing . We saw Cho who was driving his car. He stopped and asked us to come to his house. All roads from Kodai to downtown was cut with huge trees put across. After we got news that the first train from Madurai was moving out to Chennai, we got into a van with sticker Press on it. On the way we could see wailing women on the roads. Madurai was literally burning. Next day we reached Chennai by noon. Each time I saw Guna, this incident came across my mind. It was once again refreshed while seeing Manjummel Boys. Incidentally Guna and Rajini’s Thalapathy were released on same date – November 5 1991.

After Bulaandi in 2000 , Rajinikanth is to act in a Bollywood Production. Sajid Nadiadwala made this announcement of him producing a film with Thalaivar. This news has electrified the Superstar fans. From what we hear, this is a straight Hindi film and not a Tamil film passed off as a Pan Indian one. Rajinikanth who has a battery of South Producers lined up had wanted to do a Hindi film that was produced by a Bollywood Producer. He wanted this to be marketed as a Hindi film and not have it dubbed or some portions reshot. R Balki is the name that we hear as Director. Also we hear that Big B and Akshay Kumar are likely to be co- star in this film. The reason for Rajini to take up Hindi films is that he wants to do roles where he is not the Thalaivar or in other words do films that are not Superstar material. As of now he has a sequel to Jailor committed apart from the film Vattaiyan that is under filming. Next in line is that Kamal Haasan is moving to Serbia to shoot for Mani Ratnam film Thug Life and that Jeyam Ravi is playing an extended cameo. Kamal will be in Serbia for ten days and come back to once gain plunge into seat sharing talks with DMK A political birdie tells that DMK denied Communist parties the Coimbatore seat as Kamal wanted it for himself to avenge his defeat at hands of BJP in Assembly polls. As CPM is asking for a third seat as it’s right, talks are stalled .

Was it Rajini fan who hurled slipper at Vijay - Why Ajith stayed away from Captain funeral ?

Was Thalapathy Vijay hit by a slipper thrown at him at Vijaykanth’s funeral ? Are the videos fake ? Earlier video showed Vijay going back from Vijayakanth’s party office and entering the car. It showed him distraught but there is no slipper flying at him. A Second video shows the same man who is said to have hurled the shoe at Vijay but he is not showing holding any shoe but another shot shows a shoe hitting the car window. Is it a doctored video ?. Ajith fans have deplored this attack. Ajith spoke to Premalatha from Dubai. Vidayamuyurchi unit has come back to Chennai as Ajith is moving for a Bike race. Many actors shooting abroad posted videos expressing condolences. In 2015, Vijayakanth as Nadigar Sangham President conducted a Star Nite in Malaysia to clear dents of the Actors body. As news was flashed that Rajinikanth was rushing back to Chennai, Thalaivar fans were camping at DMDK office to catch a glimpse of their idol. As there is a war between Thalaivar fans and Thalapathy fans over who is Superstar , Thalaivar fan is said to have hurled the object. Rajinikanth who flew down from Kanyakumari recalled that when he was admitted to hospital in an unconscious state at Ramachandra, Rajini’s father did not know how to handle the fans and media that thronged the hospital and that time Vijayakanth walked in and he went out and spoke to media and fans and everything was in control. Rajini recalls that Vijayakanth told his wife ,” Give me a room near the ICS and I will keep watch on this crow”. A teary Rajini said that he and his family will always remain indebted to Vijayakanth. A similar situation came up in Malaysia Star Nite for Nadigar Sangham. Rajini last to come out from hotel was surrounded by fans and bouncers could not do anything. Vijayakanth came and just waved a towel and silenced everybody by just waving it. He took Rajini back to Inda. Rajini was the only celebrity who was allowed by Captain's family to see him after the organ transpant operation.

Is Vijay with Trisha in Oslo ? Jailer sequel and Ram Charan in 7 looks

Is Thalapathy Vijay in Oslo with Trisha ?. Trisha posted a photo of her holidaying n Oslo Norway and soon after a photo appeared on Twitter of Vijay and Trisha in a snow capped location and it was shot by a security guard. This has set off speculation that Thalpathy is with Trisha in Oslo on a holiday. This pictures could also be from the Kashmir schedule of Lokesh directed Leo Bloody sweet. Now another post from Trisha shows that she is with her friends. Leo shoot is wrapped up and post production is on but there are reports that after seeing Jailer, Lokesh is going to reshoot some portions in Kashmir.

Ashok Selvan who acted in blockbuster Por Thozil is to mary co- actor Keerthi Pandian in September at a function in Tirunelveli. Both of them are acting in Pa Ranjith film Blue Star which also has Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Prithvi Pandiarajan in the cast. Keerthi is daughter of noted actor- producer Arun Pandian. Keerthi’s cousin is Ramya Pandian of Bigg Boss fame.

Will there be a sequel to Jailer ?. There is some leads that says that Nelson has left some ends open for a sequel to come. Muthuvel Pandian is known as Tiger for his tough Jailer job stint in Tihar Jail. In the climax, Tiger confronts Verma ( Vinakyakan) and kills him in the same way as the latter did his enimies and before that Veram awarns Pandian that by killing him nothing would end as there is a big International gang behind him and they would come after him to seek revenge. Even when Pandian is in search of Verama, a mysterious caller calls him and speaks in Hindi and tells him to back off. The sequel would likely start with the reaction of Ramya Krishnan mother of Arjun the corrupt cop of Jailer who pulls a gun on his father to be shot by the snipers of Shivaraj Kumar. What would be her reaction if she knew about her son’s death ? What would be the reaction of Arjun’s wife and son ?. Would Pandian not reveal about the death of his son and maintain that the son is missing and untraceable ? Those who saw Jailer feel that Rajini- Shivaraj Kumar and Mohanlal should come in one frame and Jackie Shroff and Tammannah deserve a bigger role and this could be in a sequel. Les wait and hope for the best.

Director Shankar has shown Ram Charan in 7 get ups is the latest buzz coming from sets of Game Changer. It was earlier reported that Ram Charan olays an IAS officer and a politician and now the actor is to be seen in seven looks. It is said that the seven looks also includes a middle aged look. It could be a part of a song also. In Indian too, Kamal is sporting the younger version of old Senapathy. Climax was shot recently and post production is on. Kiara Advani is the leading lady.

Beast review : Rajinikanth needs to have a rethink on Nelson direction

Beast shows again that young directors lose their grip on the narrative when they have a STAR  who is a Thalapathy to his fans.  Nelson is confused as to how to treat a wafer thin story with a larger than life Vijay's image and more so confine the hostage drama  within a Mall. He has to bring in a Sylvester Stallone kind of Vijay during action and then shift to kid sentiment and comedy. Finally, he hits a roadblock. How do we end the film ?. The happenings so far are so limp and merely gunning down the bad guys will not do. So hero takes off in a fighter jet ( not provided by Indian Airforce) to fly to POK and do a URI surgical. JAI HIND.

The best of Beast is all there in the trailor.  Anirudh BGM is so loud and even drowns out dialogues. The songs and choreography with camerawork ( Manoj ) is a plus. Pooja Hegde ??? . Comedy ??? . Merely sporting a swag, style and playing Mr Cool, Vijay to an extent satisfy his fans but is this all that is needed in a Thalapathy film to be a hit at box office ?. It so then Sun Pictures can laugh their way to the bank. 

Rajinikanth who is teaming up with Nelson for his next has to doubly cautious. Nelson is not able to balance the Stardom of Vijay and combine his narrative style seen in two of his earlier films.  It can worst with Thalaivar as hero.Tbere is director Selvaraghavan in a role that only Nelson can describe and as per a Biz report on Beast Selvaraghavan was paid Rs 2 cr. Sun got ripped off.

Thalapathy Vijay's Father Platformil SAC YT channel starts from Naidu Hall footpath

 

August 21, 2021, SAC  father of Kollywood Box office King `Thalapathy Vijay'  has started this channel Platformil SAC. We were probably the only few to report it. (https://southfilmy.blogspot.com/2021/08/sac-thalapathy-vijays-dad-starts.html). It was the time of COVID and he then spoke about the sufferings of film workers who are jobless. On March 4, 2022, the YouTube Channel made it first episode public and garnered 2.21 K subscribers and close to 25,000 views in the first outing. The channel then was difficult to find as the name was Yaar Indha SAC and had no views. We have mentioned this in our report on the start of this channel.

The channel starts with S A Chandrasekar, the director- producer of many hit films in Tamil- Hindi and Telugu, the man who was one of the forces that contributed to stardom of Vijaykant, stopping his car and getting down . He takes a mat and a pillow and lays it out on the footpath in front of the iconic Naidu Hall in Chennai. He says that to stay grounded, he spends atleast two nights every year in this platform from where he started his journey. He says in retrospect or as his experience that once you taste victory, then eyes will be hazy and ears will be deaf and that is where one should be careful. He promises to tell the journey in coming days.

As son Vijay trends on YT with Arabic Kutthu , father kick starts with YT from Naidu Hall platform. In case to those in not in know of father- son relationship, father SAC has a strained relationship with his son over the latter's political entry. Vijay got  acourt order that prohibits SAC from using his son's name for any gain. SAC continues to act and played a pivotal role in the blockbuster Maanaadu released this year.
