Dil Raju with Ajith / Rahman gets Relief in Copyright case / SRK and Kantara 1

 Ajith to lead the second Tamil Film of Dil Raju?

Telugu Producer Dil Raju  made a successful debut in Kollywood with Vijay’s Varisu, and the latest news is that he has approached Ajith for a violent film with Marco director Haneef Adeni. Currently, negotiations are reportedly underway between the two parties. Following the success of Good Bad Ugly, Ajith has signed his next film with Adhik Ravichandran, and if all goes well, the upcoming project will be produced by Dil Raju.

Kollywood insiders report that Ajith is demanding a hefty remuneration these days, and it will be interesting to see how Dil Raju negotiates with him.

Music maestro and Oscar winning composer AR Rahman was accused of copyright infringement over a song rendered by him in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 in 2023. Classical singer Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar had sued Rahman over the composition of Veera Raja Veera song with an allegation that it was copied from the song Shiva Stuti composed by his father Nasir Faiyazuddin Dagar.

In April this year, a single judge bench ruled in favour of the complainant and directed Rahman to give credit to the original composers and also fined him a sum of 2 Crores to be paid as compensation with addition to costs worth 2 lakhs. Rahman then appealed against this order and a division bench stayed this injunction but directed him and the producers of PS 2 to pay the sum of 2 Crores as compensation.

Now, the division bench of Delhi High Court on Wednesday set aside the single judge’s ruling. Justices C Hari Shankar and Om Prakash Shukla delivered the order while hearing Rahman’s appeal against the previous single-judge ruling.The bench said that they will allow the appeal, adding, “We have authored concurrent opinions. We have set aside the impugned order by the single-judge on principle.” The HC did however, clarify that it had not yet examined the actual question of infringement at this stage.

AR Rahman is currently busy working on Ram Charan’s upcoming pan-India film Peddi. He is returning to Tollywood after nearly two decades with this film.

With Kantara Chapter 1 scheduled to release on 2nd October, fans believe Rishab Shetty and the team are ready to create history again. The buzz around the film suggests it could be one of the biggest releases of the year.

 

Thalapathy v/s Dhanush for Puja fest - Vetrimaaran take on KGF - Keerthi Suresh films wrapped up

Thalapathy Vijay's film "Leo" and Dhanush's film "Captain Miller" are both scheduled to release in October. According to sources, the makers of "Leo" have announced October 19th as the release date. Similarly, Sathyajothi Thyagarajan, the producer of "Captain Miller," is also aiming for that date. The reason behind this preference is that the following Monday and Tuesday are holidays due to the Pooja festival, resulting in a five-day holiday run for the film. During a Q&A session, Thyagarajan mentioned that the film's subject and the director, Arun Matheeswaran, convinced him to invest significantly and transform it into a Pan Indian film. Some scenes required British actors, so the shooting schedule had to be adjusted to accommodate their availability. Consequently, after Vijay's film "Varisu" clashed with Ajith's "Thunivu" on January 11th during the Tamil New Year festival, now it will be Vijay versus Dhanush for the Ayudha Puja festival.

In an interview, producer Gananvelraja announced that Vetrimaaran and Dhanush will collaborate on a project set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Mines. Gananvelraja also mentioned that Vetrimaaran is currently conducting research on the subject. This revelation indicates that Vetrimaaran is working on a version of KGF that will be based on real incidents recorded in history. It is exciting news that the successful duo of Vetrimaaran and Dhanush, who have previously worked together on four hit movies, will be joining forces once again. After completing "Vidhuthalai 2," Vetrimaaran is set to direct Suriya's "Vaadivasaal."

Dhanush - Kamal - Nelson combo , Rashmika - Nivin Pauly -Jude film , Mohanlal B'Day,

According to a report, a film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Dhanush will be produced by Kamal Haasan's production RKFI. Dhanush is currently finishing up his work on the high-budget film "Captain Miller," produced by Sathyajyothi Films, while Nelson is in the final stages of his film "Jailer" featuring Rajinikanth. The report states that Rajinikanth expressed to Kamal Haasan his satisfaction with the rushes of "Jailer" and expressed confidence that it would be a successful film. Nelson proposed a project to Kamal, who mentioned that he was occupied with other commitments. However, Nelson informed him that Dhanush had approved the subject, prompting Kamal to suggest pursuing that project and offering to produce it. Currently, it is expected that Dhanush will join Shekar Kammula's Hindi film, and he also has plans to revive his own production banner and pursue directing.

It is highly likely that Rashmika Mandanna will make her debut in Malayalam cinema alongside Nivin Pauly in a film directed by Jude Anthony, known for his 2018 hit. Jude Anthany Joseph recently announced his collaboration with Nivin Pauly, marking their reunion since Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. The director has now disclosed his plans to bring on board Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Sethupathi as co-stars alongside Nivin. Discussions regarding this casting decision have already commenced.
