Oscar director cheated tribal couple -

The Elephant Whisperers' Bomman and Bellie the tribal couple who looked after the elephant ahs told a You Tube channel that the director not only did not pay them any money but also took money for shooting . The money has not been returned. Director Kartki did not respond. Tribal Couple said that the money was paid from their granddaughter account, Sikhya Enterainment claimed that they had paid back the money. Reason for tribal couple to react was that the director in an interview said that the couple were prsented with a car and land. President of India made a visit to Madumalai to see the couple. Kartiki Gonsalves, the filmmaker who made the amusing and affectionate documentaryThe Elephant Whisperers, made history as her film was the first Indian title to win the Academy Award at the 95h ceremony on March 12. The lady Bellie was given a job in the forest department by the TN CM Stalin. On Saturday the poduction house and director claimed that as per agreement they had paid the couple. Earlier the couple had stated as they were serving forest department they cannot recieve any money. Now it comes out that the director who shot the documentary with her own money had taken a loan from the couple for shooting expenses.After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, The Elephant Whisperers team of Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga met President Droupadu Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. The official Twitter page of the President shared the pictures of the meeting.Later the tribal couple met President at Rashrapati Bhavan and were guests at the Rebulic Day function.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan had saved life of Oscar film Hero

During an interview, a forest official from Mudhumalai forest revealed that Actor Sivakarthikeyan had covered the medical expenses for Raghu, one of the elephants featured in the Oscar-winning documentary "The Elephant Whisperers". In 2017, Raghu was abandoned by his mother in the Hosur forest and was found by forest guards in a weak state after being bitten and mauled by wild dogs. The guards brought Raghu to the Mudumalai forest camp where vets prescribed expensive imported medicines for his recovery. Sivakarthikeyan, who was aware of this, arranged for the import of the medicines and paid for them, resulting in Raghu's recovery. Additionally, the actor has also adopted an elephant and a tiger housed at the Vandalur zoo.

On Wednesday, M K Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, congratulated Bomman and Belli, the caretakers of elephants at Mudumalai in the Nilgiris district, who featured in the Academy Award-winning documentary 'The Elephant Whisperers'. The Chief Minister honored them with a shield and shawl, and presented each of them with a cheque for Rs 1 lakh. The documentary highlights the Tamil Nadu forest department's activities and their efforts to care for elephants. The Chief Minister has announced Rs 1 lakh for each of the 91 individuals working at the Mudumalai and Anaimalai elephant camps in Tamil Nadu, as well as Rs 9.10 crore to construct homes for them. Additionally, the Anaimalai tiger reserve's elephant camp will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 5 crore. The release also stated that an elephant camp with all necessary facilities will be established in Savadivayal, Coimbatore district. Bomman, speaking to reporters later, remarked that elephant rearing was a challenging task and that they took the same care of the calves as they would with their own children.
