Nayanthara builds Multiplex in Chennai - Kamal to be honored - Khushboo ma in law Kerala temple

Renowned actor Kamal Haasan, aged 68, will be honored with the esteemed Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award at the IIFA 2023. Haasan's journey began at a tender age of six when he appeared as a child artist in the 1960 Tamil film 'Kalathur Kannamma,' where he received the President's Gold Medal. Throughout his illustrious career, he has garnered four National Awards, establishing himself as a multifaceted talent in the realms of acting, filmmaking, screenplay writing, playback singing, and television hosting. His artistic contributions extend beyond Tamil cinema, encompassing Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Bengali industries. Kamal Haasan, a recipient of the esteemed Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards, stands as a living legend within the realm of Indian cinema. Notably, the upcoming IIFA 2023 will feature a captivating fashion show titled Sobha Realty IIFA Rocks, where Manish will showcase an exquisite collection that seamlessly blends "old world charm with the new world." The grand awards night, scheduled for May 27 in Abu Dhabi, will be skillfully hosted by Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. Preceding the main event, IIFA Rocks will take place on May 26.
According to a report, Nayanthara has acquired Agasthya Theatre in North Chennai and plans to transform it into a multiplex. The announcement of Agastya Theatre's closure was made on September 1, 2020, citing reasons such as poor revenues. Situated in the vibrant area of Tondiarpet, this historic theatre delighted audiences for 53 years with its impressive seating capacity of over 1000 seats. It showcased a wide array of movies, ranging from the classic "Ulagamsutrum Valiban" starring the Late CM G Ramachandran to the latest releases of Ajith and Vijay. However, the theatre's revenues gradually declined due to various factors. Agastya Theatre, which opened its doors in 1967 with the screening of "Bama Vijayam" directed by Balachandar, underwent an upgrade to a Dolby theater during Kurudip Funal. Located on Tiruvottiyur highway, Agasthya Theatre holds the distinction of being one of the largest theatres in Chennai, boasting a capacity of 1004 seats.
Asianet News Tamil interpreted Khushboo's photo on Twitter, in which she posed inside a Kerala temple, with the caption stating that her mother in law's father, built the temple, was interpreted differently. This interpretation differs from the original understanding that it was her mother-in-law's father, who is Sundar's grandfather, that built the temple. The report states that Khushbu 's grandfather a Muslim built the temple and also praises Kushboo's grandfather for his secular values and commends his influence on his granddaughter, who is currently a member of the BJP and the NCW.

UPDATE : Star Vijay 2 new soap in noon slot -Kushboo - Radhika back to sizzle on TV - Star Vijay- Sun share top 5 spots in TRP Week 30

STAR VIJAY does launch a double mega-serial on August 16th afternoon time-band.
Namma Veetu Ponnu & Thendral Vandhu Ennai Thodum. Namma Veetu Ponnu (Mon-Sat 2.30 PM) -The cast includes Surjith (Karthik), Ashwini (Meenakshi), Ravi (Velu), Nithya (Visalakshi) and many others. Thendral Vandhu Ennai Thodum (Mon-Sat 3 PM).The cast includes – Pavithra (as Abhinaya), Vinoth Babu (as Vetri), Tharshika (Radha), Auditor Sridhar (Shankar Narayanan), L. Raja (Rangasamy), Priya (Kamala).

Kushboo and Radhika , two yesteryear heroines who had taken a break from TV is now coming back with a bang. Kushboo who as we reported is coming as Dr  Mangalam  in the serial Gokulathil Seethai, is now a judge in a dance reality show to be aired on Colors Tamil. National award winner Brinda is a co judge Meanwhile Radhika who became synonymous  with the all time hit soap Chitthi had taken a break from the second part due to various reasons. She is now making a comeback in the sequel.

After Kushboo posted photos of her having lost weight , fans asked the reason for this makeover. Now the reason is that she is making a total concentration on her film and TV career. She like Radhika was busy with State polls. Kushboo was a BJP candidate in Chennai and lost to DMK. Radhika was busy campaigning along with her hubby- actor Sarathkumar for their AISM ( ally of Kamal Haasan's party).

Radhika and Kushboo are acting with Urvasi in a Telegu film. Radhika who played the title role of Chitthi had essayed the same role in the second season. However, the serial that Sun TV had pinned hopes did not perform as expected. It started slipping in TRP and hit a dismal low. One major reason was that the actors in the serial had dropped out after being hit by Covid 19. After it came back, the new set of actors did not click. Chitthi , home production of Radhika, started tottering. Meanwhile Radhika's production company had developed fissures with Sun.

Now Radhika is all set to make a comeback in a reboot of the second season and hopes to bounce back. Kushboo's production house AVNI too faced trouble with Sun and had to stop streaming. Colors Tamil that is the new entry to TV market is now banking on Kushboo magic to bring it  visibility. Kushboo's track record as anchor and judge is excellent. Her Jackpot quiz show on Jaya TV(  then and now on a low TRP) got popular and started a market for Kushboo sarees.

The Week 30 TRP shows that top No 1 and 2 held by Star Vijay ( Bharathi Kannamma) and Sun TV ( Roja) is very slender. In the top 10 TRP, Sun has conceded as many as five positions to Star Vijay. The coming weekends will see Sun's MasterChef ( cooking reality show) and Zee Tamil Survivor ( endurance - adventure reality show) anchored by  Actor Arjun. The I' Day weekend will see Tamil movies premiere and also in coming weeks. Sony Liv Tamil has joined the fray in telecasting new movies directly in it's platform. Colors Tamil too is in the race by building a movie library of classics.

‘Zee Thirai Premiere’ – ‘Ghazi’ on Thursday, 12th August at 4:30 pm, followed by ‘Marma Bhoomi’ on Friday, 13th August at 7:00 pm and last but not the least ‘Oh My Kadavulae’ on Sunday, 15th August at 7:00 pm.‘Dhilluku Dhuttu 2’ on 11th August at 7:00 pm which is a horror comedy film that features Santhanam and Shritha Sivadas in the lead. Ending the high-action-packed week is the story of a cop who is caught in between his duties and sinking marital life on Saturday, 14th August at 7:00 pm with ‘Kalidas’.
