Gulshan called the video a ‘cheap gimmick’ to get ‘15 seconds of fame’ on social media. The actor told Zoom, “It was a cheap gimmick. People these days will do anything to get 15 seconds of fame. Videos are going viral, and that’s precious to them. They should really stop doing that. I am nobody to tell people what to do, but this is very cheap. It lacks sincerity. If you do it with sincerity, I understand, and people will sense it and not misunderstand. Like the film.” He added, “Rishab (Shetty) has so much sincerity for this story that he has approached it with sincerity. He will never be misunderstood. He himself is a devout, religious person. I have seen it, and people can sense it also. When people do it devoid of any sincerity, it is a cheap gimmick of going viral. I request that people stop doing it.” Kantara Chapter 1 is directed and written by Rishab Shetty, who also portrays the role of Berme, the protagonist. Rukmini Vasanth is Princess Kanakavathi, the sister of Kulashekhara, played by Gulshan. Jayaram is their father, King Vijayendra. Kantara Chapter 1 is running in theatres in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and Hindi. The prequel to the 2022 film Kantara released on October 2.

The highest gross collections came on Sunday with Rs. 72 crores alongside Rs. 51 crores on Friday and Rs. 64 crores on Saturday. The final number remains at Rs. 332 crores. People have not stopped booking tickets, and the lifetime collection could be Rs. 500 crores in India alone. New records have been created. But the question is, who will break them now?
