Coolie Trailor show RAJINI FAN BASE INTACT / GVP sister in Suriya -Venky film

 While its view count was lower, the trailer for Coolie demonstrated the power of its dedicated fanbase. Unveiled on August 2, the trailer for the Rajinikanth starrer registered a strong 23.2 million cumulative views in its first 24 hours. More notably, it generated a massive 1.1 million likes, significantly higher than War 2, against a minuscule 1% dislike ratio. This indicates extremely high positive engagement from the core audience of the superstar and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. While War 2 won the viewership race, Coolie‘s metrics suggest that its audience is deeply invested and highly enthusiastic, promising a powerful start at the ticket window. Among the most talked-about moments is Aamir Khan’s appearance. His short screen time has triggered a flood of memes and playful trolling on X (formerly Twitter). Some fans have taken a humorous jab at his expressions and role, while others believe his intentionally offbeat presence adds a quirky twist to the film. And if early reactions are any indication, Aamir Khan’s cameo—memes and all—may end up being one of the film’s unexpected talking points.

The trailer for War 2, which dropped on July 25, made an earth-shattering debut on YouTube. Across its Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions, the trailer amassed a colossal 55 million cumulative views within its first 24 hours. The trailer also garnered an impressive 721,000 likes, 

 Bhavani Sre has finally a major film and that too opposite Suriya. Read on;As per the latest updates, popular young Tamil actress Bhavani Sre has been signed on to play a crucial role in Suriya46. Suchithra singer who was in news some time back for her so called Suchi Leaks has resurfaced. Her interview to Kumudam YoiTube Channel has once gain kick started a controversy. She claims that both Dhanush and wife Aishwarya were indulging in flings , even after marriage. She labelled her ex hubby Karthik, the standup comedian of being a gay and a drug addict. Karthik has denied this. Most interesting part is that Suchithra says that Dhanush and G V Prakash were closeted for hours along with her hubby for hours and says that they are gays. Now she also blamed Saindhavi for the mess. Coming on heels of GVP divorce , now was Suchi open talk the reason for divorce ?.

Gautam Vasudev Menon is said to have narrated a storyline to Mammootty and most probably it will be locked says a source. The film is a Tamil film or a Malayalam film, we do not know. G V Prakash to divorce singer wife - Tammannah = Sundar C revives Kollywood

Singer- composer- actor G V Prakash and wife Saindhavi are parting ways after a ten years of marriage. They have a baby girl. Saidhavi had quit her career after marriage. GVP has now big banners and directors like Sudha Kongara to actors like Dhanush, Suriya and Sivakarthikeyan. The separation news is not a surprise to filmdom as GVP had been living separately and those meeting him know this. GVP is a national award winner.

We had told you that the going price was Rs 64 crpres and bang on , the price is Rs 63 crores. Shows the power of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam combo. Trade is not surprised. Mani’s films overseas market is so huge and has never taken a dent. In fact some of his films that were average in India, were hits and even entered top 10 in UK. Fake Leo tickets on sale - Indian 2 trailor on Diwali- GVP 25th film

Cinepriya complex in Madurai put out a tweet with photos of fake tickets of first show of Leo and warned the public from buying it from unauthorised sources and said that they will soon announce the date of sale. The audio launch was cancelled as organisers feared that fake passes had been printed. Fake tickets were printed for A R Rahman concert and that led to chaotic situation. The tickets are for a non existent premiere show on Oct 18th.

G V Prakash 25th film is in collaborated with a debut filmmaker Kamal Prakash for a movie titled ‘Kingston’, which features him as a content-driven protagonist. Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan has unveiled the title look of this film. The ace actor took part in the movie launch of this film and clapped the board for the first shot and flagged off the shooting. While G.V.Prakash Kumar plays the lead character, Divya Bharathi performs the female lead role opposite him. The others in the star cast include ‘Merku Thodarchi Malai’ fame Antony, Chethan, Kumaravel, Malayalam actor Sabumon, and many others. Gokul Benoy is handling the cinematography and G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing music. Dhivek is penning dialogues, and San Lokesh is handling editing for this film. S.S. Moorthy is the art director and Dhilip Subbarayan is the action choreographer for this movie. ‘Kingston’, is a sea-adventure horror tale, produced by Zee Studios in association with G.V. Prakash Kumar’s Parallel Universe Pictures. Venkat Arumugam is the Executive Producer and Dinesh Guna is Creative Producer for this movie.

Director Shankar yesterday started the next schedule of Game Changer in Hyderabad and according to sources the director plans to release the first single on Vijaya Dashmi day and after Kamal finishes dubbing for Indian 2, Shankar will cut the first teaser and tentatively it will be out on Nover 12 which is Diwali, It is likely that the teaser will announce the release date. Tollywood is hoping that Telugu dubbed version of Leo does not beat Balakrishna ‘sBhagavanth Kesari and Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao as it happened with Rajinikanth Jailer beating Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shanka. Leo has good number of theatres in Andhra and TS as earlier films of Lokesh were all a profitable venture for Telugu distributors. Vishal’s Mark Atony collected Rs 9 crore in Telugu States. In Karnataka Jayanna films released Jailer’s Kannada version in limited screens but as days went on screens increased as audience wanted to see and hear Shivaraj Kumar speak in Kannada. Now KRG stuios who bought Captain Miller of Dhanush has got Shivaraj Kumar who acted in the film to dub his portions in his voice and hope to get good number of screens.

Selfie Tamil film review: New area but flawed treatment

 Selfie is from Mathi Maran and is said to be from Vetrimaaran school of film making. This film has all the rawness that goes with a Vetri Maaran film but lacks characters that has an audience connect. The area chosen is the sale of professional courses seat in private colleges and here the difference is that the subject goes into how the parents are lured  by colleges to buy the seats from organized mafia backed touts and the behind the scene operation. 

The whole story starts with the hero learning that his father paid a donation for an engineering seat in a college where seats were going abegging. He decides to start this racket and earn money. The first attempt to sell a medical college seat for a premium goes for a toss and this makes him fall foul of the bad world of the racket. The question here is which parent or the aspirant who can give Rs 65 lakhs for a seat be so dumb enough to not even ask anybody about the college ranking ?.

The friend of the hero ( G V Prakash) commits suicide after the first biz deal flops and thugs turn up at his house for money. This should have motivated the hero to either bust the racket that took the life of his pal or push him to be a kingpin in the racket ( as he says the lure is not easy to avoid). Both are absent.

The focus shifts to the so far silent character Ravi played by Gautam Menon , the mafia kingpin. From here, this character gets a buildup that he turns out to be  a noble man who keeps to his word and delivers what he promises. He does not over charge his clients and very loyal to his boss ( college chairman). Towards the climax you feel for this Don getting killed by his own boss men. When hero turns a new leaf and remembers his dead friend, you will hoot him out.

If being disheveled and sporting a constipated look is what the role demands, G V Prakash does it to perfection. The songs ???. Lets forget it. Camerawork is only saving grace. In short , Selfie is a Gautam Vasudev Menon film ( acting wise). Many say that Menon's role is inspired from Vendar Movies Madan life. Madan was the man for SRM Group and not any college that had to hoodwink parents to enroll students. Also Madan openly advertised his link with SRM owner in his movie production credits. P. S. Vagai Chadrasekar  shows that he still has it in him . The scene he speaks to his repenting son over the phone is a treat.
