Kirthi Shetty's upcoming film in Tamil is LIK starring Oradeep Ranganathan and directed by Vignesh Shivn.The makers of LIK have now officially announced that the film will hit the big screens on December 18, 2025.Now Kirthi has now signed a Hindi film; ccording to the latest reports, Krithi Shetty will be making her Bollywood debut in a film produced by Zee Studios. She will be sharing the screen with Govinda’s son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, who is also making his acting debut. The film is set to be a launchpad for both young actors. The cast also includes Nitanshi Goel, known for her recent work, who will be playing one of the female leads in the movie. This exciting cast is sure to create a lot of buzz. More Details On The Debut Film While the makers are keeping the details under wraps, it is being said that the film is a remake of a popular South Indian movie. As for who will be directing this big project, there is some interesting speculation. While not yet confirmed, reports are suggesting that director Sajid Khan might be helming the film. We will have to wait for the official announcement to know for sure.

Krithi Shetty, who is receiving a lot of positive response to her performance in the recently released song ‘Abdi Abdi’ from the upcoming film Genie, has spoken up on her experience of learning belly dance for the song. The song also features Kalyani, and showcases both leading ladies in a never-seen-before avatar as they deliver a mesmerizing belly dance performance that’s already setting social media ablaze.For Krithi Shetty, ‘Abdi Abdi’ represents a significant milestone in her career. The young actress, known for her girl-next-door charm in previous projects, transforms completely in this number, showcasing a confident, sensuous side that audiences haven’t witnessed before. Directed by debutant Bhuvanesh Arjunan, the film is produced by Ishari K Ganesh under Vels Films International. With its mounting delays, spiraling budget, and anxious hero, "Toxic" is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, and the film's title seems fitting – toxic for everyone involved. Kamaal R. Khan (KRK) alleged that Yash is managing every aspect of the film, including writing and direction. He also said the budget has now reached around Rs. 600 crores. According to KRK, Toxic won’t match the massive success of K.G.F. Chapter 2.

Allu Arjun first choice for Vada Chennai - Maddy- Nayan team up - Kirthi Shetty - Karthi team up- Mohanlal - lijo in Chennai

Viduthalai 1 is being distributed in Andhra and Telangana by Allu Arjun's father, Allu Aravind. During a media meet in Hyderabad, Vetrimaaran shared that he had presented the script of Vada Chennai to Allu Arjun when he met him in Chennai. Allu Arjun had expressed his interest in working under Vetrimaaran's direction and making his debut in Tamil cinema. Vetrimaaran further stated that he had also met Mahesh Babu and NTR Jr after the success of Asuran. Recent reports suggest that Vetrimaaran plans to cast Dhanush and NTR Jr in his upcoming film. However, it appears that Allu Arjun is not keen on doing a two-hero subject, especially for his debut Tamil film. Those who have seen the preview claim that Allu Aravind has another hit on his hands, much like the success of Kantara that he distributed in AP/TS. ------

R Madhavan- Nayanthara - Siddharth team up for sports srama An upcoming sports drama film titled The Test has brought together R Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth, and is directed by debutant Shasikanth. The film's motion poster video has been released, and it suggests that the storyline is centered around cricket, with the sounds of someone hitting a ball and the cheers of a cricket stadium. Kirthi Shetty opposite Karthi in Nalan directorial Karthi 26, which is produced by Studio Green and directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, has chosen Kirthi Shetty as the female lead. The movie had a low-key launch in the city. Currently, Karthi is busy filming Japan, which is directed by Raju Murugan. Kirthi Shetty has several other projects in the pipeline, including Custody with Naga Chaitanya and directed by Venkat Prabhu, a film with Sharawanand, a Malayalam movie with Tovino, and Jeyam Ravi’s Genie, directed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan, who was previously an assistant to Mysskin. Her debut film Uppena in Telugu was a massive blockbuster. ------- Mohanlal - Lijo unit in Chennai next Renowned filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery has teamed up with Mohanlal for the movie 'Malaikottai Vaaliban', and the first schedule of filming has already been completed after a 75-day shoot in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer. The team is now set to move to Chennai to commence the second schedule, which is slated to begin in mid-May and span 40 days. During this phase, Mohanlal will be shooting his portions alongside the film's heroines. The collaboration between Lijo Jose Pellissery and the superstar Mohanlal is highly anticipated and expected to showcase the latter's best performance in recent times. The makers have confirmed that they will unveil the movie's first look poster on April 14th, which coincides with the occasion of Vishu , Malayalam New Year .

Shyam Singha Roy -Telugu film is ranked 3rd on Netflix globally

 

It is the turn of OTT Giant Netflix to inform that Telugu film Shayam Singha Roy is the first Indian film to be ranked third in the Non English category on a global scale. From Jan 14th to 17th, on Netflix it garnered 35 lakh views. It means no Bollywood film with a global audience and claims to be Pan Indian has ever got this distinction.. The film was dubbed into major Indian languages and put on OTT.

Nani - Sai Pallavi - Kirthi Shetty are the actors. Director is Rahul Sankrityan a software engineer who in 2018 gave a hit `Taxiwala' with Vijay Devarakonda. After that he had been taking his own time to work on the story of Satyadev Janga and came out with the film which has a Bengali backdrop in the flashback,  As it was a  Telugu  film and had no great promotions , I skipped the film and more so as many said it was dragging. Add to this the supernatural element and other world experiences that I found in the synopsis made me give it a miss. Now after reading Netflix South tweet, I sat to watch why it was No 3 globally in Non English category ?

As a Tamil film buff, I found this storyline very similar to Kamal Haasan- Shobana- Sripriya film Enakkul Oruvan. directed by S P Muthuraman. Now this film is nothing but the remake of the musical hit Hindi film Karz.  In those days when English films screened only at major cities, not many knew that Karz was am `inspiration' of Reincarnation of Peter Proud. Now all this happened in 1984, today's Netflix viewers have taken to it in a great way.

In Tamil, Kamal is a  dancer  and has all girls drooling over him. Shobana is a virulent critic of his dance.  But  he likes her for the criticism. To cut a long story short, Kamal is son of Shobana's father's friend and so it is wedding bells. Now the couple goes to Darjeeling to take a break after  Kamal who saw his wife on stage as a Bharathanatyam dancer gets illusions. In this hill station , he gets more disturbed and finally meets the girl that comes in his illusion and it is Sripriya who in previous janma (birth) was his wife. He was a  rich Nepali biz man and his mother was a Tamil ( played by Pandari Bai). Sripriya's uncle ( Sathyaraj) murdered him and now how does the justice be carried in this janma ?

Come to Shyam ----- Roy, Nani is an aspiring film director called Vasudev. He has to make a short film and show it to impress producers. He finds it in a girl at a cafe and through her father gets her to act in the short. ( Girl is Kirthi Shetty who had a hit in Uppenna) He gets a three film deal from producer after his first film is a hit. Now comes the twist- the subject was plagiarized from a story Bengali writer - revolutionary Shyam Singha Roy.. ( was the plagarism bit to tell those who saw Karz ?).  Vasu has not heard of Roy and goes in search of him .In comes a world of Devadasi and the beautiful Sai Pallavi in all those Bengali cottons ( though my girl friends swear by it , it was after Shyam --- that I knew they were right ). Hats off to costumer.

Now this flashback is something that is a visual treat. First credit goes to Sanu, the cinematographer . For OTT guys, he cranked the camera for Fazil's Malik. Next is music director Mickey J Meyer . I heard that Rahman said no to this film. Mickey music is just superb. Pranavalaya shot on Sai Pallavi and Sirivenella lyrics is just magic. Nani in dual role pulls it off but when you finish the movie , it is Sai Pallavi that lingers in your memory. Oh yeah, we have Madonna Sebastian too in the film.

Rahul should be complimented for not taking any of those fancy styles of narration and gives a non linear style that does not give your brain any work. A perfect way to keep it simple.

In short, I still do not know what to make out of Netflix viewers of Non English language films ?. Anyway, Dont expect me to review Ram Asur .
