Arvind Swami has signed a Malayalam- Tamil film with Kunchacko Boban . Yet another anthology this Friday about love - betrayal .Operation Java released in Kerala and Chakra the Vishal film due for release next week are on same subject .
Directed by Tovino Thomas hit film Theevandi , Fellini has titled the Swami film as Ottu, The film is produced by August Cinemas who produced Theevandi. Goa, Mangalore and Mumbai are major locales. A R Kashif , nephew of Rahman, made his debut as composer with Pathinettam Padi’, also produced by August Cinemas is scoring music for this film. Arvind Swamy debut film in Malayalam was Daddy directed by Sangeeth Svan with Gauthami as heroine and the second was Devaaraagam with Sreedevi and directed by legendary Bharathan.
As anthology has got a bad name among Tamil film goers, NetFlix is coming on Feb 19th with Pitta Kathalu ( It is in Telugu but it is as good as Tamil since it will be dubbed and has Sruthi Haasan- Amala Paul - Lakshmi Manchu ( she played a supporting role with Vidharth in Kaatrin Mozhi , Jyotika starrer apart from Telugu actress Eesha - an interesting info is that she acted in a Tamil film Oyee released in 2016 and hero's name is Geethan Britto - any relative of Master producer Britto ?) , Now to scare all those who have had an overdose of love in anthology films - NetFlix describes it as - “Four different women, four journeys of love and betrayal. The common thread? Their tenacity when it comes to challenging norms”. One can expect a good one from director Nag Ashwin (of Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati) listed among the four.
Operation Java released last Friday in Kerala has recieved rave reviews. It deals with cyber crimes on common man and Vishal "s Chakra deals with e-commerce scams. Chakra is also getting dubbed into Malayalam and released in Kerala next week Kerala audience will get the choice to compare two director's take on cyber crimes.
