Anirudh says CSK theme music brings goosebumps and Kamal- Chiyaan Vikran- RRR

As it is IPL Season, there is an interview given by Composer Anirudh about why he turned down composing a new theme music for CSK. The theme music for CSK is the famous O whistle Podu. At that time Anirudh was not in film music composing. After he became big time, CSK asked him to compose a new theme music. He said a big NO. Why ? The music is played whenever a six or four scored and even today it gives me goosebumps. It is a song composed by Independent musicians and nothing can beat it was his answer to CSK. Dirctor Mani Rathnam is giving shape to the story as some actors like Dulquer Salmaan and Jeyam Ravi have dropped out due to date issues. Though STR was considered a replacement, a trade dispute is creating a trouble for Madras Talkies. Latest we hear that only in June will Thug Life move to Serbia for the shoot. For Chiyaan Vikram fans, Chiyaan 62 helmed by Arun of Chittha fame will start shoot from April. It has S J Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu, Malayalam actor making his Tamil debut. Chiyaan fans were waiting for March 29th for Dhruv Natchithram but so far there is no news and now next date they can hope for is April 14th.

A R Rahman confirmed for Ram Charan film - Tollywood Shocked

Tollywood is wondering how A R Rahman has agreed to score music for Ram Charan film directed by Buchi Babu. Rahman during his early days did compose music for Telugu films and even Producer Subbrami Reddy offered him a house in midst of Hyderabad to stay and compose music. Two things kept Rahman away from Hyderabad. One was his comfort zone in Chennai and that his wife too did not like him to be away from Chennai. In fact they had bought houses in USA and UK , but finally settled down in Chennai. The second reason was that Rahman experienced difficulty in getting the right lyricists and that his Tamil films dubbed into Telugu was criticized for the poor lyrics. Along with this was a resistance from Telugu music composers to the entry of Rahman. A story that did the rounds was that Chiranjeevi was keen to act in a Rahman musical. He asked the director to get Rahman. After some weeks the Director played out some songs that were composed by Rahman. Chiranjeevi was all praise. The director burst the bubble. All of them were composed by Raj Koti. Incidentally Raj Koti never misses an opportunity to say that ARR was his disciple at one time. Businesswise ARR amount for one film is four times the amount that the likes of Thaman or DSP charges for a Telugu film. ARR Telugu dubbed films were mostly by Mani Ratnam who has a fan following in Telugu States. If one were to take RC 16 , Buchi Babu is unknown to Tamil viewers and post RRR, Ram Charan has a visibility in Tamil Nadu. Those in the know says that like Mani Ratnam, only S S Rajamouli can carry Rahman music across language barriers. It was said that Shankar whose combo with Rahman worked many times had sounded ARR for Game Changer but dropped it as Dil Raju felt that the music tracks would not come on time and that it would push up the budget and audio companies would not pay big as they see it as a Ram Charan’s Telugu outing with Shankar. Venkata Satish Kilaru is producing the film, which will be presented by the famous production house Mythri Movie Makers. The film is co-produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and Sukumar Writings banners. What made ARR commit RC 16 ? Did Producers agree to pay his fees that he demands or was the subject so interesting that he took a cut ? Was it that Thaman has come to Tamil with Varisu ? With more Tamil actors like Vijay- Rajinikanth- Sivakarthikeyan – Suriya getting into Tamil- Telugu bilingual, and that Anirudh entering Telugu with Leo’s dubbed version and Jailor being a big hit in Telugu States, it is a wise move from ARR.

Yesterday, Mohanlal met Ekta Kapoor at the Yash Raj office in Mumbai and officially signed up for a Tamil-Telugu film called Vrushabha. Mohanlal's last appearance in a Tamil film was in Kaappaan, featuring Suriya, where he portrayed the role of the Prime Minister. Mohanlal is now set to share screen space with Rajinikanth in a film called Jailer, directed by Nelson. Vrushabha is anticipated to be a high-budget project rumored to cost around Rs. 200 crores. Alongside Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, AVS Studios and Connect Media are also involved in the production of Vrushabha. The announcement of Vrushabha was made in August of the previous year. This multilingual drama, directed by Nanda Kishore, is scheduled for release in 2024 and will be available in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. According to a source, Ekta Kapoor's involvement will significantly boost the film's prospects in Hindi-speaking markets. She will play a crucial role in promoting Vrushabha, similar to Karan Johar's contribution to Baahubali. Needless to say, Ekta is thrilled about being a part of Vrushabha, and the entire team is delighted to have her on board. Moving on to Ekta Kapoor's current projects, her recent release, Badtameez Dil, is available on Amazon miniTV. Her daily soap, Barsaatein, is scheduled to premiere on July 10. This year, she has two major film releases lined up: Dream Girl 2, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, and The Crew, featuring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kriti Sanon.

Anirudh Ravichander made his first entry into Bollywood with the film "Jawan" starring SRK, which has achieved impressive financial success. The music rights of the film were acquired by T Series for a staggering Rs 36 crores. Kangana Ranaut has revealed the anticipated release month of the upcoming horror-comedy, Chandramukhi 2, along with the movie's first poster. Serving as a direct sequel to the 2005 film Chandramukhi, the movie features Raghava Lawrence alongside Kangana. Chandramukhi 2 is set to hit theaters in September, coinciding with the joyous occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Kangana shared the posters of Chandramukhi 2, announcing her return with the caption, "She is making a comeback this September... Are you prepared? #chandramukhi2." Vikram's Pathala Pathala full song on Disney+ Hotstar - July 8th

 

Vikram film will stream on July 8th at Disney Hotstar with the full song Pathala Pathala , said a source close to the streaming giant. The song ( lyric video) released by Sony Music which had 50 million views on You Tube did not feature in  the feature film released on big screen. The lyrics written by Kamal Haasan had taken direct hits at the Modi Government management of Covid and a depleting coffers with the key to the treasury being with the robber ( reference to bad loans from public sector banks to private bizmen who are now underground ).

As per the source, the OTT platform is not bound by the censor regulations and can carry the song in total. The idea is to mute the audio and allow the subtitles to run in the song. This trick has been done before by the OTT players as in the case of Master. The song finding a place in the OTT version will lead to a full frontal flight with the Central 1&B ministry. Till now,tthe OTT players are told to do a self regulation of content.

The film also has reference to Union Government , a term that DMK uses to address the Central Government to show the federal nature of the governance.  A police complaint about the song is pending before Chennai Police Commissioner . A few days back, Udhaunidhi Stalin, distributor of Vikram said in a thanksgiving function for theater owners , that Rs 70 crores was the share  from Tamil Nadu alone till date. This amount is what comes after taxes - theater rentals and distributor shares.
