Jana Nayagan Single / Mamitha Baiju costume same from Telugu Origginal

Fans were very particular that Jana Nayagan should not be a remake, as it is Vijay’s last film as a hero.

Recently, the first single from the film, composed by Anirudh, was released. After watching the visuals in the song, many fans and viewers now strongly feel that Jana Nayagan is indeed a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari. This belief grew stronger because Mamitha Baiju’s outfit in the song looked exactly like Sreeleela’s attire in Bhagavanth Kesari.

The 3-minute-21-second-long lyrics video of Thalapathy Kacheri from Jana Nayagan features music by Anirudh, vocals by Anirudh, Vijay, and Arivu, as well as lyrics by Arivu. The video begins with a colourful celebration featuring Anirudh singing and playing the guitar on stage.

It soon cuts to a grey-haired Vijay dancing with abandon with a large crowd. Pooja and Mamitha also join him in the celebration soon. The video also celebrates his legacy, with lyrics and visuals reflecting his most iconic roles throughout the years. It ends with Anirudh requesting him for ‘one last dance’, which Vijay happily oblige

Fans were moved by Vijay acknowledging that he will be seen on screen one last time before he enters politics. One emotional comment read, “One last time. Thalapathy,” complete with crying, heart and fire emojis. Another wrote, “One Last Time Thalapathy Kacheri.” An emotional fan commented, “Thalapathy one last time miss very much,” while another wrote, “Thalapathy Vijay sir Your Are The GOAT No doubt about it love you vijay sir, it s time to celebrate.”

The film is slated for release in theatres for Pongal 2026 on 9 January. This will be Vijay’s last film before he contests in the Tamil Nadu elections via Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.the team of Jana Nayagan is skipping the audio launch event in Tamil Nadu and will move overseas, and the event will be held in Malaysia. The event date is said to be 27th December.

GVP Out Ani In for STR- Vetri / Sita Pallavi Fake Bikini / Producer scraps Deepika work

Vetrimaaran has dumped GVP and gone in for Anirudh for his next with STR. Vetrimaaran is to direct Dhanush for Vada Chennai 2 and the actor travels with GVP only. Traf on :

Vetrimaaran recently grabbed eyeballs by announcing the closure of his production house, Grass Root Film Company. He is currently busy with the works of #STR49. Vetrimaaran and Simbu have shot a special promo for the film, which will be out on October 4. The talk in Tamil film circles suggests that the sensational music composer Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to score music for #STR49. Vetrimaaran has mostly collaborated with G.V. Prakash Kumar in his career, and now it seems the director is attempting something different with this Simbu starrer.

The movie will also likely mark Silambarasan’s first collaboration with Anirudh. Earlier, there were rumors that Simbu and Vetrimaaran’s film was Vada Chennai 2, but the filmmaker dismissed those speculations. After wrapping up #STR49, Vetrimaaran will move on to Vada Chennai 2.

Actress Sai Pallavi found herself in the middle of controversy after vacation photos shared by her sister Pooja Kannan on Instagram were misused online. While the original pictures showed Sai Pallavi enjoying a beach vacation, trolls edited them to make it appear as if she was wearing a bikini. This sparked backlash, with some questioning her choice of attire since she is playing the role of Goddess Sita in the upcoming “Ramayana.” Today, the actress hit back at the trolls. Sharing a video from her Australian vacation, she clarified, “PS: The above images are real and aren’t AI-generated.” With this, Sai Pallavi subtly dismissed the fake edits while putting the focus back on her genuine memories.

Deepika Padukone has quit Kalki 2 after nearly  20 days of shooting. Vyjayanthi Movies confirmed the news, stating that while the first film was a collaborative effort, the sequel team could not establish a workable partnership with her. Reports say Deepika knew the importance of her role, which was central to the story and performance-driven. Director Nag Ashwin had earlier revealed that parts of the sequel were shot alongside the first film, making her sudden exit more surprising. NDTV reported that disagreements over pay and working conditions triggered the fallout. Deepika had asked for a 25% fee hike compared to Part 1, shorter seven-hour shoots, and five-star facilities for her 25-member team. The producers refused these terms. Her exit now forces the makers to rework the narrative and recast a crucial role. While they have 20 days of her footage, they may need reshoots or digital fixes once a replacement is finalised. Fans are already speculating about her replacement and how the team will reshape the storyline without one of the franchise’s central faces.

SHOCKING :Inside Story of Kingdom Trailor Launch / Coolie no TIME TRAVEL BUT WATCHES YES

Navin Nooli, arguably the best editor in Tollywood—and currently among the top in the country—gave sharp trailer cut visuals to Anirudh for scoring and mixing. And this was handed over either last night or early this morning. That itself is shocking.

This trailer launch was announced days ago. A huge event was planned, with Anirudh expected to travel from Chennai to Tirupati—by road or air. All they needed from him was to finish the BGM, send it for final mixing, and attend the event.

But  the final trailer mixing didn’t come from Anirudh’s end.

Now to be fair—he’s been juggling two major releases within a 15-day gap. And naturally, he seems to be prioritizing "Coolie", as he should. Also, Gowtam Tinnanuri, being a perfectionist, was fine-tuning visuals till the last minute. That too delayed Ani’s timeline.

Result? For the first time ever, a trailer launch event happened with raw, unscored visuals—no BGM done. Just rough edits. Disgusting.

With only 5 days left for release, the team was already behind schedule. But to add to that, this kind of mismanagement .

It reflects poorly on everyone:

• Producer Nagavamsi, who often boasts of understanding how to work with Anirudh.
• Director Gowtam Tinnanuri, who made a national award-winning film like Jersey.
• Even Anirudh, for continuing the habit of last-minute deliveries, risking reputations.

Lokesh has said that Coolie is not about Time travel and the trailor on August 2 will clear all doubts. He said that the plot does deal with luxurious watches and watch factories but the story going around that Rajini gets a watch that takes him on a time travel is fake. Coolie has nothing to do with LC.U “Right after Coolie’s Release, I’ll resume the work on LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) Origin. It’ll have all the connections for Kaithi and Vikram. It’s a 10-minute short film, but it has Anirudh’s music and Anbariv Masters’ work as well.”,  said Lokesh.

Rajendar, Sujatha Mohan, Vijay Prakash, and Srinivas, were impressed by Iniya's singing and her stage presence.

Vikram is in talks with Sandeep Vanga to play the antagonist in Prabhas Spirit. He had backed out of Mahesh Babu film directed by S S Rajamouli as his role had too negative shades and could affect his hero iamage and secondly , he needed to give up on many films as it required him to give bulk dates. The role offered is meaty but Vikram has asked for Tamil Nadu theatrical rights as his fees. The producers of the Telugu movie "Spirit" are Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, according to IMDb. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. It's a PAN-India action entertainer being produced under the T-Series banner. Earlier Deepika had turned down the heroine role citing long working hours and instead signed Allu Arjun film.

Social media users were quick to point out the striking resemblance between “Power House” and American rapper Lil Nas X’s 2021 hit “Industry Baby.”

Many listeners noted similarities in the beat, overall tune, and rap structure. As comparisons spread across platforms, some began accusing Anirudh of directly copying the American track.

“Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is slated for release on August 14, 2025. Neither Anirudh nor the filmmakers have responded to the allegations at the time of writing.

Jailer BGM was said to copy from the Industry Baby.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen’s romantic family drama Thalaivan Thalaivii hits theatres today. A Telugu version, titled Sir Madam, was announced with plans for a simultaneous release. However, there’s still no confirmation from the makers, and tickets are not available yet in Telugu-speaking regions.

It’s possible the team chose to avoid a clash with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, or they might be planning a delayed theatrical release or a direct OTT premiere. As of now, there’s no official word from the makers, Directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Thalaivan Thalaivii also features Yogi Babu in a special role, with Santhosh Narayanan delivering the music. Thalaivan Thalaivii is a rugged family drama that works in moments, mainly due to the strong performances of Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen. However, the film is brought down by a weak, repetitive script and loud, tiring narrative choices. It offers glimpses of honesty and humour, but not enough to make it a consistently engaging watch.

Pawan Kalyan film Success Meet on Release Date - A FIRST / Coolie USA cross Jailer Sales

On the release date itself the makers of Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1-Sword vs Spirit has announced sauces meet. The makers are delighted with the audience’s response and, to express their gratitude, have scheduled a success meet. The event will take place today at 4 PM at Daspalla, Hyderabad.

Day 1 collections are expected to be sensational. The premiere shows alone have reportedly collected close to Rs. 13 crore

Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu Day 1 Affected By Premieres

The advance bookings for the film’s premieres were superb, and it delivered very good numbers. But due to the premieres, day 1 advances saw a very big impact. The advance occupancies are not even 50% for the opening day.

Also, the WOM and reviews are unanimously negative for the film, which affected the opening day and weekend collections too. Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s premiere misfires big time.

Releasing on a weekday with premieres before release night is very risky, and the movie opens with bad WOM, so definitely pulling the numbers is not an easy task.

While the first installment is titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit, the sequel’s title was officially revealed during the climax. The second installment will be called Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 2 – Battlefield (Yuddhabhoomi in Telugu).

Here is another case of a Premiere .Jailer’s USA premiere pre-sales closed at $802,000, and with three weeks still to go, Coolie is almost certain to cross that milestone.

Anirudh debuted the PowerHouse song in Hyderabad while promoting the film there at an event held by the film’s team. What caught everyone’s attention was the song's use of the phrases ‘say my name’ and ‘goddamn right’. Fans soon realised Bryan Cranston’s Walter White says these phrases in Breaking Bad. Many fans on X (formerly Twitter) soon began posting videos overlaying the songs onto scenes from the show.

Jailer, grossed close to $6.8 million (Rs. 59+ crore) in the US, setting a new benchmark for Kollywood films. The pre-release buzz for Rajinikanth’s Coolie in the USA is nothing short of phenomenal. Early advance booking numbers have already crossed $180,000, and this is just the beginning. According to trade analysts, over 5,000 tickets have already been sold within just a few hours of advance bookings. Currently, around 250 premiere shows are listed across 110–120 screens, and these numbers are expected to rise as the release date draws closer. The premieres are set for August 13, a day before its global release.

Dr.Atlee - Allu Arjun budget- salary Details / Anirudh says no marriage

Dr.Atlee called it India's most expensive film, however, when he was asked about the budget, he remained tight-lipped. He said "This is the most-expensive film, we are brining in all the new technologies in it. In terms of budget, the producer has to decide, my work is to direct the film. Jailer music composer, Anirudh Ravichander and Sun Risers Hyderabad IPL team SRH CEO, Kavya Maran's dating buzz has been going on for a long time now. It was on March 2025, when reports claimed that the couple might have been dating each other. Later, the music composer's team denied the claims and revealed that the duo was just good friends and that they weren't dating. Now, recent buzz claims that the couple is soon going to get married soon. Recently, a post has gone viral on the discussion platform Reddit, wherein it's stated that Anirudh Ravichander and SRH CEO Kavya Maran are soon going to tie the knot. While there's no confirmation of this, netizens have been commenting on it. While some believed that the buzz might be true, given that the couple was often spotted in restaurants, on the other hand, a user even claimed to having visiting them during a Las Vegas trip.

Some other users mentioned that he/she had witnessed in an interview that a tarot reader predicted that Anirudh Ravichander would marry a very well-educated woman from the telecommunication broadcasting industry. Well, it's worth mentioning that no confirmation about the same has been made from Anirudh and Kavya's sides.

One user commented, "I was watching an old interview of Anirudh's where this tarot reader is predicting his love life and she says He'll marry someone who is very well educated and someone who's in the telecommunication broadcasting industry. Honestly, crazy if this is actually true." Another user wrote, "Might actually be true seeing how I have seen in other subs where people said they have seen both of them having dinner at star hotels."

Dating buzz between Anirudh Ravichander and SRH CEO, Kavya Maran

For the unversed, Kavya Maran is the CEO of the IPL team, SRH, and she often grabbed attention while in the stands. Well, during IPL 2024, Kavya started getting famous and gathering attention, and people started digging deeper for more information on the same. Reports have claimed that Kavya might have been dating Anirudh, but later, his team denied the claims and mentioned that they were just good friends. Trisha Krishnan’s Fee For Thug Life

The lead actress, Trisha Krishnan, has reportedly received Rs 12 crore for her role, as per Daily Jagran. This amount is said to be 3 times higher than her fees for the Ajith Kumar-led film Good Bad Ugly. Trisha and Kamal Haasan’s pairing in the film was also criticized over the age gap between the two actors.

Silambarasan, Ashok Selvan & Joju George’s Fees For Thug Life

Silambarasan, aka STR, was paid Rs 40 crore, whereas Ashok Selvan and Joju George were paid Rs 1 crore. Abhirami was paid Rs 50 lakhs.

How Much Did Kamal Haasan Charge For Thug Life?

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have reportedly not received separate paycheques for their work as they have jointly produced the film and will likely take their share from the profits. Thus, the total cast fee amounts to Rs 53.5 crores. The fees for actors Rohit Saraf and Ali Fazal are not yet known.

Lowest-grossing film for Kamal Haasan since Vishwaroopam II?

The latest Kollywood action drama is turning out to be Kamal Haasan‘s lowest-grossing film in the last 7 years. In 2018, his Vishwaroopam II earned between 46 and 48 crore gross globally. After that, Thug Life has amassed the lowest score for him.

Worldwide collection breakdown:

• India net – 42.22 crores
• India gross – 49.81 crores
• Overseas gross – 40.50 crores
• Worldwide gross – 90.31 crores

To earn less than Indian 2

From here, Thug Life might cross the 100 crore mark, but won’t cover much distance. It is heading for a lifetime collection of below 110 crores. With this, the film will end up earning much less than Indian 2, which itself was a massive disaster. For those who don’t know, Indian 2 earned 150.94 crore gross globally.

Salman Khan and Chiyaan Vikram threat to Mohanlal / Anirudh is South highest paid composer

Empuran run at North India and Tamil Nadu will not be smooth as the two regions are seeing the release of two biggies- Salman Khan- ARM Sikandar in Hindi and Chiyaan Vikram Veera Dheera Sooran. At first Sikandar was to release on March 30th and thereby giving Empuran a three day run in North but the new date has put te brakes on that. Vikarm film is coming on March27. This date has come after OTT platform has scheduled it. Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 will hit the big screens on March 27, 2025. Initially, it was supposed to be released in January, but plans shifted due to scheduling clashes with OTT platforms. Given the budget, Empyran needs a free run outside Kerala to recover it. In GCC countries, Empuran will be hit as Salman Khan release for Eid has always been a celebration.

While there’s no official confirmation about the same will be coming, a few weeks back, the industry buzz was that that Anirudh has become highest paid music composer of the South and he received an unbelievable hike for Jailer 2. For those who aren’t not in the know, the and it was told publicly by Rajinikanth himself , Anirudh the music composer was paid a sum of 10 crores for Jailer. As Ani’s music played a crucial role in Jailer’s blockbuster success, he has been given an 80% hike. It is said that Jailer 2 producers are giving Anirudh a staggering 18 crores for the sequel. If a comparison is made, he is aheam charan- Buji film signed by AR Rahman by a margin of 10 crores. If calculated ahead, Ani’s remuneration is 125% higher than that of ARR’s paycheck for RC 16 which is Rs 8 crores. Chaavaa BGM is said to be poor and though the film is a blockbuster, it has made Ram Charan film makers jittery.

Why Rajinikanth's Hukum still rules Tamil Box Office ?

No wonder Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 promo released today continues to break the internet. Rajinikanth film Vettaiyan is in the 12th position of Indian Box Office of 2024 as per Ormax survey. Two other Tamil actors in this list are Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT and Sivakarthikeyan Amaran. This is the answer to those who said that Vettaiyan is a flop !!! In 2024, two Regional film industries that did exceptionally well are Malayalam filmdom and Gujrati films. Kerala filmdom went on a historic high from collections of Rs. 572 crores in 2023 to Rs. 1165 crores in 2024. The industry crossed the Rs. 1000 crore mark for the first time ever and main factor was Manjumel Boys and Premalu. Gujrati filmdom from Rs. 50 crores in 2023 to Rs. 84 crores. A major factor behind it was the success of the horror comedy Jhamkudi, which collected Rs. 20 crores plus. Among the Indian actor’s , Ajay Devgan had two films in top list – Shaitaan and Sigham Again. As per The Ormax Box Office Report 2024, while the total gross box office collections of 2023 were Rs. 12,226 crores, the 2024 earnings dropped by around 3.32 % and stood at Rs. 11833 crores. The three saving grace films of the year were Pushpa 2 – The Rule, Kalki 2898 AD and Stree 2. These were the only films that crossed the Rs. 500 crore mark. The Tamil cinema finally made an entry to the list at the seventh and eight positions with Thalapthy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Time (Rs. 305 crores) and Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran (Rs. 258 crores). By collecting Rs. 174 crores, Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan made it to the twelfth position. Malayalam film for first time entered the list. Manjummel Boys collected Rs. 170 crores .

Backed by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures, there have been no official announcements about the cast and crew of Jailer 2. Will it bring back Vijay Kartik Kannan who created magical frames for the film? Will the movie see the return of Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff? Will newer stars enter this galaxy? The four-minute teaser begins with the news channel announcing the impending Fengal cyclone, as we see Anirudh Ravichander and Nelson Dilipkumar discussing their project. Their conversation is interrupted by men who are being shot and attacked black and blue. Petrified by the sight, we see the most-awaited entrance by none other than Rajinikanth. A bomb comes rolling towards the duo, as Rajinikanth walks out of the house. We see some people with snipers pointing towards Rajinikanth, he takes out his eyeglass and we see through it the snipers blown away by torpedoes coming from behind him. It ends as the teaser is accompanied by Hukum soundtrack from Jailer. The promo ends with the duo announcement of Jailer 2.

But as of now December 12 is the Amarn event .Though it was widely publicised that NetFlix pushed the premiere by a week and release it on December 5th due to good theatre collections, the real reason was that Kamal who is away in USA wanted to hold the function just few days after OTT release and thereby give out a final tally at theatre box office at the event. He could arrive only by first weekend of December and so he and NetFlix agreed on this release date. The box office collections after the second weekend has dropped drastically in all releasing areas and with Kanguva coming on November 14th, the film's run will be almost over. Anirudh is Sample Star ; Read about clever mix of software samples

Anirudh is known as Sample star by certain section of music lovers and foremost among them is pkkeys_official on Instagram. The latest from the Music Police as they are known is that Sample Star has used various samplings that he sourced from the Nexus software. Nexus sequence irukum varai, sample star in payanam thodarum 🙏🤣. Anirudh legally buys software rights of such software that is available for a perod of one month. He uses them liberally. This is legally permissible and does not reflect upon the composer’s creative ability. Case in point is the Calendar Song in Indian 2. Rakul Preet Indian 2 cameo - Anirudh - SRK again- Jeethu- Fahadh - Lal- Shobana - Suriya- Pooja Hegde team up

Kamal Haasan trackers inform us that Rakul Preet Singh plays an IPS officer in Indian 2 and that her role comes into play in second half. That does not mean that she is just another cameo but something important like that of Alia Bhatt in RRR. The other day Kamal was Chief Guest at an event to mark 100th anniversary of D Ramanujam, Known as DR , the man who headed the State Exhibitors Associations for decades along with Chithamani Murugesan of Distributors Association were one time the undisputed trade leaders. Most striking factor was Kalaipuli Thanu was the event organizer and he was seen welcoming Kamal at the event. So What ? After Aalvaandhan , Producer Thanu and Kamal parted ways. It was a welcome scene to see both on same platform. The function was organized by Exhibitors Association represented by Paneerselvam of which Thanu is a member and also owns a multiplex. I as Screen weekly ‘s Special correspondent in Chennai had to keep a regular line to DR as he was not only the general secretary for a record 20 times of South Film Chamber of Commerce and so many times in film trade unions apex body FFI. At that time, Screen was the only trade weekly that was a common link to all film trade bodies across the country. He piloted an amendment to Copyright Act to curb video piracy. Later on he was struck with Parkinsons and still was at the helm. I live a few streets from Late DR home and I think of the days when plush latest cars of film producers lined in the street as the owners were inside grappling with release issues.

Will Anirudh do the mistake that A R Rahman did at the peak of his career ?. The news that Anirudh is on board for KING starring Shah Rukh Khan directed by Sujoy Gosh. It marks SRK daughter Suhana Khan debut. ARR at peak of his career with Tamil films shifted to Bollywood as bucks were big. Even his regular Directors and Producers in Kollywood were given a raw deal. After the Oscar, the Madras Mozart offers from Bollywood dried up. By that time, Anirush- D Imman- Haris Jayraj – G V Prakash had become Tamil music lovers favourites. It is with great difficulty that ARR picked up his Kollywood libks and got back with big banners. However, Anirudh is far ahead in terms of popularity charts and renumeration. If Anirudh balances work between Bollywood and Tamil- Telugu industries, he will not face plight of ARR who put the blame on the caucus that control Bollywood.

Yesterday we told about Ram film directed by Jeethu getting ready after the problems with producers solved, today we have a news – E4 is bankrolling a film with Jeethu and Fahadh Faasil. Fahadh already has signed a action film with S J Suryah as co- actor for a Vipin Das film. Meanwhile we learn that Shobana is pairing with Mohanlal after 15 years in Tharun Moorthy Directorial, The hit pair was last seen in Jackie Alias Sagar. Shobana is said to be in Rajini- Lokesh film. Now Director- actor Lal Jose posted a photo with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Is he acting in Rajinikanth’s Coolie ?. Yet another report is that Pooja Hegde is coming back to Tamil with Suriya – Karthik Subburaj film.

Freak Penne song controversy - Lyca buys Dhanush film - Jailer director now Producer - Kannada TV star Rakksh Raam turns hero -

Are Rappers be called music composer ? . This a point raised by music director Shaan Rahman in his reply to Rapper Satyajit who alleged that his composition Freak Penne in Oru Adar love film was not credited to him and instead it was given to Shaan Rahman. Rahman says that the film director asked him to incorporate the song that was on social media and all he did was to produce the song in his studio. Rajinikanth says I am Superstar at Jailer audio release

Rajinikanth explained why he still retains the Superstar title and on the lyrics of the film song interpreted as targeting Thalapathy Vijay. At the audio launch of Jailer , Rajinikanth spoke about how the title Superstar was causing a big burden as he had to live up to it. At one point of time, he decided that he would not use the tag anymore. At that time, many said that he was scared of losing it and that made him rethink on giving it up. This was a veiled reference to Thalapathy Vijay fans who claimed that their hero’s box office had long back overtaken Rajinikanth. To douse a fan war, Rajinikanth said that the lyrics of song Hukum from Jailer has been interpreted as aimed at some one and said that a group always indulged in such interpretations. He said this after having narrated a short story of how an eagle who flies high in the sky just ignore a crow that is crowing at him. He left it to the imagination of who was crow and eagle. Director Nelson who directed Beast with Vijay said that it was Vijay who gave him the guts to go and narrate the subject to Rajinikanth. He made it clear that after Rajinikanth okaying the subject, he was still not confirmed by Sun Pictures, The reports then said that after mixed reviews came in for Vijay’s Beast directed by Beast, Rajinikanth had doubts on going ahead with same director. Nelson said that Sun Pictures who produced Beast decided to go ahead as they did not suffer financial losses. Those who were in the censor panel say that the vintage comic hero Rajinikanth has come alive in this film Jailer and would bring back the family audience back to theatres. Speculation is on about who is the actor who was asked to leave the set as he could deliver what Director wanted. An AD said that when Rajini saw the actor being dismissed, he said not to sack him and instead include in a frame with him and so can get mileage from it. Is it the drunken actor who shot off his mouth against a political leader ? Ayangaran International and Prime Media are releasing the film on August 10 in USA.
