Pariyerum Perumal remake has Tripti Dimri ( Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 ) / Rajinikant pongal wave

After Baby John the remake of Vijay film Theri and it’s flop, now comes another remake. It is Dhadak 2 which is a remake of Pariyerum Perumal written and directed by Mari Selvaraj in his directorial debut and produced by Pa. Ranjith. n an interview with Filmfare, Triptii ( bhool Bhulaiyaa 3) who acts in the film spoke about her experience working on Dhadak 2. She mentioned that it’s been a “lovely” and “special” film, and she enjoyed the process of making it. She also described her co-star, Siddhant, as “an amazing guy” and noted that working with director Shazia Iqbal had been enjoyable. Dhadak 2 is presented by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures. It was initially set to release on November 22, 2024, but the date has since been postponed.

Director Atlee has not given up on being a Bollywood Producer , even after Baby John. He is said to have signed Shahid Kapoor for a film that will be directed by his assistant and this time it is no remake. The film is to start next year. Triptii is also working on Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film with Shahid Kapoor. The untitled movie, which also stars Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda, began shooting on January 6, 2025. Fans of the original Tamil film, including producer Pa Ranjith, have expressed concerns that the core conflict of the story might be diluted to make it more palatable for Hindi audiences. Karn Johar the producer saud - "We are not holding back from the core conflict of the film or its depiction. I don't want to say too much for those who haven't seen the original, but we have stayed true to the story. It’s as hard-hitting and impactful as the original," he promised. Karan also highlighted that selecting Shazia Iqbal to direct Dhadak 2 signals his commitment to maintaining the essence of Pariyerum Perumal. Shazia Iqbal has been working as a Production Designer for thirteen years in the Indian Film & Advertising Industry. An Architecture graduate, she left a sheltered office job after being enticed by the idea of telling stories. Her debut Short film, Bebaak won her the Best Debut Director, International and Audience Choice award at the 35th Sao Paulo International Shorts Film festival. The film is inspired by a true event that moulded her religious, social and political ideology while growing up. Her debut feature film, Blood Circle was selected for Film Independent's Global Media Makers 2019 Residency lab in Los Angeles. Sun Tv will premiered the Rajinikanth film Vettaiyan on January 14th 6.30 PM. It will also telecast Lal Salaam the next day but it is not confirmed. Next day Lal Salaam of Thalaivar might come but not confirmed. Hindi version of Lal Salaam was telecast on Zee Hindi. OTT release has not come. Why Aadujeevitham and Lal Salaam not in OTT

Why is Aadujeevitham GOATLIFE starring Prithviraj and Lal Salaam with Rajini in an extended cameo not scheduled for OTT streaming ?. From what we learn makers of Aadujeevitham had at the outset decided that they will not give the OTT right away and only after they end the Oscar campaign. Lyca on the other hand is planning to club Laal Salaam with Indian 2 and strike a combo deal with OTT platforms. It was reported that Disney Hotstar had got Aadujeevitham rights but it is not true. In fact, a major studio has been entrusted with the Oscar campaign and as part of it, makers decided to sell the OTT only after the upcoming Oscar announcement. Another NRI business man from Thiruvalla - K C Eapen is also serving as co partner . KC Eapen is the Associate Producer who stayed on set and carried everything on, especially in Jordan. He is the Brother-in-Law of KG Abraham, Chairman of the KGA Group (they are the main producers funding the movie). Aishwarya Rajinikanth admits to losing Lal Salaam footage - Kamal is INDIA Star Campaigner

Aishwarya Rajinikanth reasoning out why the film Lal Salaam with Daddy Superstar Rajinikanth flopped has raised many eyebrows. Her frank admission that 21 day shoot footage which included a cricket match sequence shot using 10 camera setup had gone waste as the hard disk got corrupted sent shockwaves. She also admitted that handling the Superstar image and doing justice to do it was another major undoing of the film. The subject required only ten minutes if screen space for the character Moideen Bhai in the film. After Rajinikanth agreed to do the film, many commercial elements to justify the Thalaivar fans had to be incorporated and that took the main story chart to another level. She says that she went ahead and shot the film totally. Two days before the release, she was told that if Rajini did not come in first part , it would backfire. So an edit was done to bring Rajini to first half. As actors had moved on and almost impossible to reshoot the lost footage, a few days salvation job was dine. If the damaged footage was got, things would have been different, she claimed. Reshooting would mean shooting up of budget. Aishwarya takes consolation that she was able to bring out the performer in her Dad. She narrates the various scenes where her Dad had done the extra bit to make it memorable. The question that arises is that the honest admission by Aishwarya puts a question mark on her professionalism. Losing the hard disk in a time where recovery methods are many and also a security system that safeguards the content shot is something unpardonable as per filmdom. Her inability to factor in her father Superstar image into the script is understandable.

Rajini's Pro Muslim Lal Salaam gets North release - Will it break Sanghi image ?

At the time of writing, we hear that Lal Salaam of Rajinikanth will get released in North India. The buzz was that the film was heavily pro Muslim in content and so the Hindi print is not to come in North India where after Ayodhya there is a Ram wave. The film is not the RSS cup of tea. Friends who are abroad and got to see say that with Lal Salaam ,Rajinikanth wipes out his pro Hinduvata tag given to him by his detractors. In Lal Salaam Rajin’s; s role is of a 100% secular Muslim and with a runtime of 60 minutes. The role sort of exposes the Right-wing elements who spark communal flame and the minority community being the target. This screen image will convey the message that Rajinikanth as a person cannot be put in a straitjacket of a Hinduvata. His going to Ayodhya to the pranamam at feet of Yogi will in all likely hood the Sanghi brand be wiped out.name. On watching the film, my friends say that at no point it shows Muslims as communalists. Cinematographer Vishnu who has taken the subject from a real-life incident in his hometown when a Hindu Temple chariot was burned in a clash is said to have done a good job. The rawness of lyricist Mashooka Rahman in the song Jallalali is excellent. A R Rahman score has before the release did not create any buzz but the song rendered by Deva and released yesterday has done wonders in terms of views. We are told that Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth who are real life cricketeers has done an excellent job. Theatre list in overseas is excellent says trade. What the overseas friends fear is that out of 2 hours 31 minutes, Rajini comes 90 minutes in second half only. Will this be a damper for Rajini fans in India ? Lyca has not sold it like a Rajini film and so there is no reason for trade to worry. How well will the Moideen Bhai preaching communal harmony get accepted by an audience that by and large sees him as a pro Modi man ? It can also be taken as Actor Rajini as Moideen in Lal Salaam and mothing more and if the communal harmony scenes are preachy or filmy, it could be a good subject for memes and trolls. Lets wait.

Suriya - Sudha film story line - Lal Salaam - Ayalaan deserts Pongal

The revelation of Suriya 43 title by 2D Entertainments and Meenakshi Cinemas to mark the coming together of Sudha Kongara and Suriya and music director G V Prakash’s 100th film has confirmed that the film is about the anti Hindi riots that rocked Madurai in particular during the 1965 January 25th when students and Congress workers clashed and sparked of a State wide agitation. More films seem to be deserting Pongal 2024 as far as Kollywood is concerned. Latest we hear is that Lal Salaam with Rajinikanth in a cameo is shifting to January 26th and Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan is moving to March. Ayalaan producer is facing a court case over financial dues and Lal Salaam is moving as they cannot find any decent number of screens in two Telugu speaking States. Captain Miller too is likely to bow out for same reason. In all probability, Sundar C Aramananai sequel might come on Pongal if the biggies drop out. March will see Thangalaan too as they too are feeling the AP/ TS theatre crunch.

Dhanush Captain Miller most affected in Pongal release

Three Tamil films releasing for Pongal 2024 will hardly get ant theatres in two Telugu speaking States as five Telugu films starting with Mahesh Babu to Ravi Teja are releasing for sure. Out of the three Tamil films, the biggest loser will be Captain Miller of Dhanush, if it does not get a proper release in neighboring States. Dhanush Tamil – Telugu film Vaathi/ Sir released in both States did extremely well in Ap/ TS and first week grossed Rs 67 crore and in fact it was in second week that Tamil version broke even. Seeing this Shekar Kamula has booked him for a bilingual. Captain Miller loaded with action would be perfect film for AP/ Ts audience. By releasing for Pongal, it could get submerged in the big Telugu Star films. Ayalaan of Sivakarthikeyan too has some audience in AP/ TS. Though his bilingual with Jathi Ratanalu director Anudeep was a dud in Both languages, Siva dubbed for Telugu version titled Prince. He is ken to expand his market. The third Lal Salaam has Rajini in a cameo and after Jailor being the biggest box office hit of 2023 for a non Telugu hero in Tollywood, if released alone, it could have a decent opening. Vishnu Vishal one of the leads too has a ok draw in AP/ TS. Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh’s Saindhav, and Teja Sajja’s Hanuman are the prominent films in the race, while Raviteja’s Eagle ‌ and Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga are also likely to join the race.

Lal Salaam audio date locked - Dhruv Natchathiram review - Yogi Babu a winner

 

Lal Salaam directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth will have an audio launch at Chennai on December 20^th. Music is by A R Rahman. Rajini plays a cameo as Moideen Bhai. From the trailer we father that Vishnu Vishal plays Thrubavakaru , a cricketeer and Captain of a team and opposite side Captain is Vikrant who is a Muslim. The clash between them is used by communal forces to create enimity and riots between two communities. Rajini as Moiden Bhai is seen trying to broker peace and physically stop mobsters. The audio was first planned as Rajini Birthday special for fans on December 12^th. Rajini was not for it as he wanted to as usual go away from Chennai. He felt that the focus on him would make the film as a Rajini film and disappoint fans when it is released as he has worked only ten days in it. A similar cameo in Kuselan was hyped up and the film bombed.

 Director Lingusamy who saw Dhruva Natchithram  final cut in Mumbai put out the first review on X. A poster with USA theatres and show times was released. Advance bookings show that Rs 10 lakh worth was done.

On November 24 comes a Yogi Babu film Kuiko that is taking on Dhruv Natachathiram and Santhanam 80 Buildup . The fact that Red Giant is backing it has given a buzz that this film could be the dark horse that would win. From the trailor it looks that Yogi Babu who left home for Saudi Arabia after he was insulted by his fiancée parents has now come back with money to seek revenge. Vikrant plays a major role.
