Suriya productions Ra Ra - copy of Marathi film Raanga Paatanga ?

 

Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum ( ra Ra), the  Tamil film  is said to be a lift of the Marathi film Raanga Paatanga and the producers have claimed compensation for using their story without permission, said a source in the know of the happenings. 2D Entertainment owned by Suriya- Jyotika are the producers.

Ra Ra when released had reviewers saying that the film had similarities with Peepli Live of Aamir Khan. The Marathi film too was compared to Peepli Live. The Marathi film subject is about two bulls used for farming going missing. These bulls are like family members. The owner in search of the bulls comes across a TV reporter who has a different angle. The simpleton life goes for a toss.

The film got awards in Pune International Film Festival for Sant Tukaram Best Film & also for the Best Director. The film is  produced by Flying God Film & Vishwas Media & Entertainment and is represented by Bipin Shah. Amol Gole produced this film through Flying God Films and also  the cinematographer of the movie. National award winner

Anmol Bhave is the sound designer, while Sagar Vanjari is the editor of the movie. Kaushal Inamdar is the Music director. The debut director Prasad Namjoshi  also wrote dialogues & story of the movie.

The Marathi film was first screened at Disney Hotstar and is now available in Prime Video. Prime had signed a deal with 2D to produce four films.

Suriya's four new movies to premiere on Amazon Prime

 In a landmark deal, Actor Suriya's 2D Entertainment House will premiere   Jai Bhim, Udanpirappe, Oh My doG and Raman Aandalum Ravanan Aandalum directly on Amazon Prime. The list of films   reveal that it is a fine balancing act between the Actor Suriya who has to depend on theaters for big bucks and producer Suriya who wants to make films of  his choice and cater to a discerning audience that values content. The only film that has Suriya acting in these four films is Jai Bhim. On the floors ,he has Vetrimaaran directed film Vaadivaasal ( Hindi dubbing rights sold already for Rs 25 cr) which is produced by Kalaipuli Thanu. and Etharkkum Thunindhavan directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures.

This collaboration will have 2D Entertainment’s most anticipated titles mark their direct-to-service world premieres on Amazon Prime Video. From murder mystery to comedy to family drama, the diverse content slate includes films across genres produced by one of India’s most loved actors, Jyotika and Suriya.
