Prabhu Deva to direct Director Shankar’s son Arjith and Puri Jagganath to direct Vijay sethupathi. These two news circulating around has one common thread- Both the Directors are flop Directors. Look at Prabhu Deva. Last time I saw him was in a forgettable film Jolly Gymkhana. I saw it on OTT and reason was that I could get some or least one good choreographed song. No way. Many of my friends have not heard about it. Now it seems a leading Telugu film maker has decided to back Prabhu Deva’s story and Arjith is the choice. Now we know that Shankar’s Aditi launch. Aditi Shankar, daughter of director S. Shankar, made her acting debut in the film "Viruman" (2022) and also participated in the audio launch of "Indian 2" where she performed a song and dance. Prabhu Deva was a big name as Director with Pokkiri and ended with Villu in Kollywood and in Bollywood with film like Wanted 2 / Radhe. I think most exciting combo new I heard was Vijay son Jason directing Arjith and Dhruv Vkram with Rahman son Ameen as music Director. Moving to Puri Jaaganadh. Report says - After the failure of Liger and Double Ismart , Puri is in search of a comeback movie. Despite multiple script narrations to various actors, nothing has been finalized yet. However, the latest buzz is that Puri recently met acclaimed Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi and narrated a story. The actor is yet to make a decision, but the filmmaker and his team are optimistic about getting his approval. Now is Makkal Selvan optimistic about Puri we are not sure. Post Maharajah, Vijay is back in reckoning. The problem here is that Puri Jagan as a Producer laso has debts pending and this should be taken into account as financiers these days are not very optimistic about comebacks. But trade sources say that Puri sold his properties and is all clear.

 For those who have seen Vijay- Atlee’s Their, one might not give uch importance to the character of City Commissioner Cibi Chakravarthy played by Prabhu. But in Hindi remake titled Baby John, the role is done by Salman Khan. As it is Sallu Bhai, the scenes featuring Sallu are handled by Atlee himself. The film’s director is Kalees an AD of Atlee and Varun Dhawan is the hero with our girl Keerthy Suresh.

Our Mumbai trackers say that Salman got a rousing welcome at the Andheri Studio where a huge set is put up. The set is created by Murad Khetani , a close pal of Bhai. Now Bhai role has fights galore and is shown as a mentor of the hero. Usually, Bhai cameo should cost a bomb but guess what he is not charging a paisa. Why ? A R Rahman - Micheal Jackson song for 2.0 - Sorpy upset with Guruvayoor Ambalandayil- Aditi Shankar new film

Music Director A R Rahman recalls how he missed doing a single with Michal Jackson for the film 2.0. Composer Sirpy is peeved that makers of Prithviraj’s Malayalam film Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil did not acknowledge him in the film credits as they used his song from Ullathe Allitha . ARR said that he had a meeting with Micheal Jackson and both got very friendly. Director Shankar who was working on Rajinikanth film 2.0 told ARR that he should get Jackson to sing a song under his composition and money was not a problem. Jackson agreed and asked ARR to fix a date to sing. While the song was under composition, Jackson died. This is how Indian filmdom missed a chance to get Jackson to work in an Indian film. Late Producer GV ( brother of Mani Ratnam) had got Jackson to do a show in Mumbai but it got cancelled at last minute.

Music Director Sirpy’s song Azhagiya Laila in Ullathe Alitha and filmed on Rambha, who did a Marlyn Monroe with air gushing from below and her skirt flying high. It was a hit. The song now has been featured in Malayalam film Guruvatoor ambalaNadayil and used in background as when heroine Nikhila Vimal comes on screen. Sirpy unlike Illaiyaraaja who sued producer for using a song from Manjumel Boys for using his song from Guna , has only asked that his name be used in credits. Meanwhile, Hemdev who has the rights of Guna got a court stay restraining Pyramid Films from releasing It in theatres.

Update; Nalini Ramarajan niece in Aishwarya R Dhanush Valentine video

 

Latest report is that Aishwarya , dancer and daughter of Vishnu Deva choreographer and brother of actress Nalini Ramarajan will play the female lead in Aishwarya R Dhanush directed video for Valentines Day.  Meanwhile, cinematographer of film Vaathi for which Dhanush is shooting in Film City has quit citing other committments. 

 Vishnu 's father was a choreographer . Vishnu  worked with dance master Ganesh Acharya and married his sister Kamala Nair. Aishwarya Dhanush  is currently in Sitara Hotel inside Ramoji Rao Studio Hyderabad . Dhanush too is in the same hotel as it is the only one inside the Film City and comes with the producer's package. 

Aishwarya with Bay films Salman Shaik and Sampat were in a pre- production discussion last two days  and has kick started today the shooting of a video to be released on Valentines Day, said a source. The source says that the video is for TIPS and produced by Bay Films. It is directed- produced by Prernaa Arora. Rajeev Sen, brother of Sushmitha Sen might be playing the male lead in the video.

Aditi Shankar ( daughter of director Shankar) is acting in her first film opposite Kaarthi in Kollywood. Producer Prernaa Arora served a eight month jail sentence in Economic Offences Wing custody and came out in  December over a case filed by Producer Vashu Bhagnani for a Rs 16 crore fraud. She faced complaints from actors - directors in John Abraham's 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran', Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 'Fanney Khan', Shahid Kapoor's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' and Sara Ali Khan's debut film 'Kedarnath.'. The ‘Pad Man’, ‘Pari’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ co-producer is Arora.

The Instagram post of Bay Films LLP also mentioned Aishwarya along with her hubby's name. Sources say that unlike in Samantha's case, the couple have yet to trash out the division of properties jointly held by them. Till a legal exit route is not agreed, Aishwarya has been asked to not drop Dhanush's name.
