Ajith and Vignesh project on - Karunanidhi 100 pressure on Producers - Will NCW move against Balayaa- Vijaykanth ?

 

From what we hear, Ajith and Vignesh Shivan project is not dropped and could be the actor’s next after Vidamuyurchi.  The director has developed a plot that is centered around organic farming and how the trend is fast catching on with stores that sell only organic farm products. This has became a headache to those who sell fertilizers and those companies that make their own products using fertilizers and sell them through their own retail outlets. Ajith plays an organic farmer and how he tackles the resistance. We hear that Trisha will once again team up with Ajith in this film.

Trisha announced that the web series Brinda shot in Telugu by director Surya Vangala has been wrapped up. She plays a cop. It will stream on Sony Liv.

Talking about Ajith and Vijay, the film trade bodies are tensed as they were given the task to bring these actors for Kalaingar 100. Vijay in his list of leaders whom younger generation has many from Periyar to Kamaraj but no Karunanidhi. So coming on a Karunanidhi function that is organized by Tamil film trade bodies is in effect a proxy show of DMK. Ajith when Karunanidhi was attending such a show to felicitate him for being CM , took the mike and said that actors should be left to their choice as to whether they should attend such a show. Rajinikanth stood up and gave him a standing ovation. In this circumstances will Ajith take a break from Ajerbhaijan shoot and come ?. Now Murali Ramasamy of Council and R K Selvamani of FEFSI are putting pressure on AGS Archana Kalpathi and Tamilkumaran of Lyca to bring Vijay and Ajith or face issues in future. We will have to see what happens as these production companies are dependent on these actors and not the other is thrown  way. After a long time the Chepauk Stadium is thrown open to a cultural event.

Will National Commission for Woman move Suo moto  against FEFSI Vijayan and Vijayakanth along with Balakrishna after Vichitra’s open talk at Bigg Boss 7 Tamil ?.  They did in Mansoor Ali Khan case.Though Vichithra did not name Balakrishna , it is obvious that she says a Telugu film and after that she quit films. She did only two films in Telugu and one was with Venkatesh in 1995 titled Pokkiri Raja. After that in 2001 she acted with Balayya in Bhalevadi Basu and the heroines were Anjala Zhaveri and Shilpa Shetty. It was the last Telugu and in one year she left the scene.

Jigarthanda Double x a flop - Kamal poll plan- Dulquer with Balayya - Anpama joins Jeyam Ravi

 

According to trade circles, Jigarthanda Double x is a flop and will not recover the cost from India collections. The overseas distributor Ahimsa had made a profit. After Diwali , the film saw 57 % drop and after 7 days the collection was Rs 30 crores. One reason is that rains lashed major centers in Tamil Nadu. The word of mouth publicity was exactly opposite of the media that praised the film.  Even Rajinikanth public praise has not helped. The budget of the film at Rs 100 cr was unrealistic and with Lawrence and S J Suryah in the lead it was a big gamble. Karthik Subburaj as director was missing from theatres and his two films Jagame Thanthiram and Maahan released on OTT were disasters. The second week has World Cup semi and Finals. Five Star Kathiresan and Ivenio Origin a Dubai based company had funded Karthik’s Stone Bench films. Red Giant were the distributors. Ajith's Viswasam and Dhanusg 3 has been re-released as the Diwali films have crashed.

Kamal Haasan will join Thug Life only after The May 2024 Lok Sabha elections according to sources close to the production House Madrs Talkies. In coming four months, he will complete H Vinoth film and release before the official Election Commission announcement. As he is going contest in alliance with DMK, any film featuring him cannot be released after poll date is made by EC. Unconfirmed reports say that the film deals with exploitation of farmers.

Two Malayali heroines Keerthy Suresh and Anupama Parameswaran playing leading ladies in Jeyam Ravi’s Siren directed by Antony Bhagyaraj. He co-wrote Rajini’s Annatthe, Ajith’s Viswasam and Sivakarthikeyan Hero. Keerthy plays a cop and Anupama who came on board plays what ?. Anupama is a established heroine in Tollywood.

Dulquer is soon to join Balakrishna for the Bobby directorial. The Kerala Superstar is currently working in a Telugu film Lucky Bhaskar. Dulquer is not doing a cameo but a full-fledged role, Balayya with three blockbuster hits in a row is the box office favourite. Dulquer is part of Kamal – Mani film. Due to his other languages commitments, Salmaan had to drop out of Tinu Pappachan film. Now Nivin Pauly is brought in.

Akhanda Telugu film review by New York Times Simon Abrams

I enjoyed the first half of the Telugu language Indian action epic AKHANDA, about an area man who picks a fight with a corrupt mine owner. But the second half brings in the title character, the twin brother of the first half’s lead. Then it becomes something special.

AKHANDA’s awesomely cartoonish set pieces are all wind machines, speed ramping, master shots, symmetrical closeups & gonzo choreography. Seeing it alone (save for one guy) at Union Square 14 was thrilling; so loud that my ears popped. “The third eye has opened. You are done for.”

Akhanda fights while possessed by the god Shiva. He impales a few heavies with his trident. Akhanda also rearranges the main heavy’s chakras one by one, naming each body part he’s destroying (solar plexus chakra!). He’s friend to zebu and children. Akhanda is righteous.
