Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shoot of Jailer 2 in Goa. Jailer was a mammoth blockbuster at the ticket windows collecting over Rs. 600 crores. At a time when Rajini was going through a slump, Nelson brought the star back into the numbers game.

The latest buzz suggests that Santhanam is set to make re-entry as a comedian with Jailer 2. For a long time Santhanam has been doing lead roles, and it appears that he is coming back to entertain audiences in a comic avatar with the much-anticipated sequel. An official announcement is awaited.

The makers are planning to bring the film to the theatres on June 12 2026. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is said to be playing a key role. Produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, the big-ticket entertainer features music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Tamannaah portions are missing in  Bahubali The Epic is the buzz.

Baahubali: The Epic is releasing with premieres today in U.S. and tomorrow paid premieres in India. The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Shows are selling out as if Rajamouli’s brand-new film were hitting theaters. Needless to say, the entire team must be thrilled-except for one person, Tamannaah Bhatia who played a key role in the first part. According to reports and official team statements, Tamannaah’s portions have been removed from this version to keep the film tighter and more focused, including her songs. When Baahubali: The Beginning was first released, many viewers criticized Tamannaah’s character and songs, feeling they didn’t quite blend with the epic tone of the film. In fact, many felt she was miscast in Baahubali. Those sequences are now said to have been cut from Baahubali: The Epic. While the rest of the team celebrates the film’s grand re-release, it’s certainly disappointing news for Tamannaah. In the U.S., Baahubali: The Epic is on track to easily gross over a million dollars. This film is set to create a new benchmark for re-releases – it’s unlikely that any future re-release, regardless of the hero, will be able to collect even half of what Baahubali: The Epic is earning now, at least for several years to come.

Professionally, Tamannaah is busier than ever. She will next be seen alongside Shahid Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller O’ Romeo, expected to release in late 2025 or early 2026. She also stars with Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan – Force of the Forest, a mythological folk thriller produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF. The film marks her return to a strong, unconventional character space. Additionally, she is part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, where she plays the wife of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. Tamannaah is also expected to appear in Anees Bazmee’s No Entry 2 with Varun Dhawan, making her one of the busiest actresses of her generation.

Why Rajinikanth's Hukum still rules Tamil Box Office ?

No wonder Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 promo released today continues to break the internet. Rajinikanth film Vettaiyan is in the 12th position of Indian Box Office of 2024 as per Ormax survey. Two other Tamil actors in this list are Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT and Sivakarthikeyan Amaran. This is the answer to those who said that Vettaiyan is a flop !!! In 2024, two Regional film industries that did exceptionally well are Malayalam filmdom and Gujrati films. Kerala filmdom went on a historic high from collections of Rs. 572 crores in 2023 to Rs. 1165 crores in 2024. A major factor behind it was the success of the horror comedy Jhamkudi, which collected Rs. 20 crores plus. Among the Indian actor’s , Ajay Devgan had two films in top list – Shaitaan and Sigham Again. As per The Ormax Box Office Report 2024, while the total gross box office collections of 2023 were Rs. 12,226 crores, the 2024 earnings dropped by around 3.32 % and stood at Rs. 11833 crores. The Tamil cinema finally made an entry to the list at the seventh and eight positions with Thalapthy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All Time (Rs. 305 crores) and Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran (Rs. 258 crores). By collecting Rs. 174 crores, Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan made it to the twelfth position. Malayalam film for first time entered the list. Manjummel Boys collected Rs. 170 crores .

Backed by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures, there have been no official announcements about the cast and crew of Jailer 2. Will it bring back Vijay Kartik Kannan who created magical frames for the film? Will the movie see the return of Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff? Will newer stars enter this galaxy? The four-minute teaser begins with the news channel announcing the impending Fengal cyclone, as we see Anirudh Ravichander and Nelson Dilipkumar discussing their project. Their conversation is interrupted by men who are being shot and attacked black and blue. Petrified by the sight, we see the most-awaited entrance by none other than Rajinikanth. A bomb comes rolling towards the duo, as Rajinikanth walks out of the house. We see some people with snipers pointing towards Rajinikanth, he takes out his eyeglass and we see through it the snipers blown away by torpedoes coming from behind him. It ends as the teaser is accompanied by Hukum soundtrack from Jailer. The promo ends with the duo announcement of Jailer 2.

Is Vijay with Trisha in Oslo ? Jailer sequel and Ram Charan in 7 looks

Is Thalapathy Vijay in Oslo with Trisha ?. Trisha posted a photo of her holidaying n Oslo Norway and soon after a photo appeared on Twitter of Vijay and Trisha in a snow capped location and it was shot by a security guard. This has set off speculation that Thalpathy is with Trisha in Oslo on a holiday. This pictures could also be from the Kashmir schedule of Lokesh directed Leo Bloody sweet. Now another post from Trisha shows that she is with her friends. Leo shoot is wrapped up and post production is on but there are reports that after seeing Jailer, Lokesh is going to reshoot some portions in Kashmir.

Ashok Selvan who acted in blockbuster Por Thozil is to mary co- actor Keerthi Pandian in September at a function in Tirunelveli. Both of them are acting in Pa Ranjith film Blue Star which also has Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Prithvi Pandiarajan in the cast. Keerthi is daughter of noted actor- producer Arun Pandian. Keerthi’s cousin is Ramya Pandian of Bigg Boss fame.

Will there be a sequel to Jailer ?. There is some leads that says that Nelson has left some ends open for a sequel to come. Muthuvel Pandian is known as Tiger for his tough Jailer job stint in Tihar Jail. In the climax, Tiger confronts Verma ( Vinakyakan) and kills him in the same way as the latter did his enimies and before that Veram awarns Pandian that by killing him nothing would end as there is a big International gang behind him and they would come after him to seek revenge. Even when Pandian is in search of Verama, a mysterious caller calls him and speaks in Hindi and tells him to back off. The sequel would likely start with the reaction of Ramya Krishnan mother of Arjun the corrupt cop of Jailer who pulls a gun on his father to be shot by the snipers of Shivaraj Kumar. What would be her reaction if she knew about her son’s death ? What would be the reaction of Arjun’s wife and son ?. Would Pandian not reveal about the death of his son and maintain that the son is missing and untraceable ? Those who saw Jailer feel that Rajini- Shivaraj Kumar and Mohanlal should come in one frame and Jackie Shroff and Tammannah deserve a bigger role and this could be in a sequel. Les wait and hope for the best.
