Rajinikanth son in law status did not help my career - Dhanush

 Dhanush on the eve of ` Maaran' release on OTT, has been quoted  saying that being son in law of Rajinikanth gave him an elevated status but career wise it was his brother ( director Selvaraghavan) and father Kasthoori Raja ( director- producer) who helped him in his career. On personal front, Dhanush and Aishwarya have worked a way to look after the kids. An unconfirmed report from Hyderabad says that Aishwarya Rajinikanth has got an okay to direct a film with mature romantic love subject that she has prepared and common friends have put across the idea to STR aka Simbu about him acting in it.

The Aishwarya- Simbu combo on face value may look a speculation but it is not that cannot take place, says a source in STR camp.  He points out that STR and Hansika were madly in love and when they broke up, the film that they were acting together ran in trouble as STR avoided acting with her. Now a matured and professional STR did an extended cameo for woman centric film Maya with Hansika in the lead. So it cannot be ruled out if STR says yes to ex GF Aishwarya , hopes the Simbu pal.

Dhanush answering Q&A with fans said that it was his brother and father who helped him career wise and not being a son in law of Rajinikanth. Trade sources say that Tamil film industry big wigs are not so receptive as before and Dhanush feels that indirectly it could be his pa in law's larger than life image that is playing out. Dhanush has signaled his distance from Rajinikanth to his fans and that of Thalaivar. On the domestic front, the kids will be with Aishwarya. Whenever Dhanush is free, kids would be with him. When Aishwarya took ill in Hyderabad, kids were with Dhanush who was shooting in Ooty. A legal separation is not on the cards as division of properties to custody of kids would have to be trashed out. Instead, a mutually agreed agreement has been arrived said a source close to Dhanush family.  Dhanush is acting in a film directed by his brother Selvarghavan.

Dhanush- Aishwarya wedding that publicly ended Rajini- Jayalalithaa war

 Dhanush – Aishwarya Rajinikanth wedding was dramatic as the divorce tweet that came yesterday night. It was the wedding that signaled to the Superstar fans and AMMA followers that the hatchet has been buried. The climax to a political war that had Jayalalithaa humbled at the polls saw AMMA elevated to the eldest person of the family and gave the thaali to Dhanush to tie the three knots. 

Ego bruised Rajinikanth could not forget the moment when cops at the road leading to his house told that he could sit in the car and wait in the footpath till Amma passes by or walk down to his house. When AMMA security informs that she is leaving office for home, all traffic is frozen. Only after her car goes inside the Veda Nilayam does the freeze order is lifted. Rajini walked to his house. Rajini and Jayalalithaa are not next door neighbours and actually live quite away from each other.

Many barbs against her through dialogues in films took place. 1996 the adopted son wedding gala fest and corruption added to Rajinikanth’s cryptic speech appealing to save Tamil Nadu did her in. Rajini continued with his barbs till 2001, when he fell silent. Jayalalithaa came back to power. She changed her security measures and became more people friendly. 

There were gossips of Rajini’s daughter Aishwarya and Simbu (actor- son of TR) seeing each other. They were studying in the same school run by Latha Rajinikanth.  A coffee shop was the meeting place. Soon scenario changed and rift happened between the two. Around that time, Kadhal Kondain with Dhanush as hero and his brother Selvaraghavan as director got released. At a preview, Aishwarya met Dhanush. Next day, a bouquet landed at Dhanush house. 

They met each other at many joints. At this time, Rajinikanth found that Dhanush was a simpleton and though his father Kasthoori Raja was a director – producer, he did not have any of the trappings of a filmy brat (  Simbu had in plenty).  Arranged match between two families took place and when it was said Jayalalithaa would come, many thought it was wishful thinking. It did happen. M Karunanidhi came for the reception. It was Latha Rajinikanth who through Sasikala got Madam to see them and accept the invitation. Before that Rajinikanth too chipped in his bit by calling Amma as Dhaariya Lakshmi (Goddess of courage) at the felicitation function. Aishwarya is three years older than Dhanush. He was 21 at time of marriage. 

Simbhu nursed his wounds of being ditched and made many barbs against Dhanush in his films and his fans enjoyed it. Dhanush got prime roles and soared ahead. Simbu got caught in charges of unprofessionalism. Simbu got in to relationships with Nayanthara and Hansika and broke up. On November 25th, 2021, release of Maanaadu changed everything. Simbu aka STR is hottest property in town. He was conferred a doctorate by Vels University in Chennai. ( Many upcountry media wrote it as Wales University). 

Leaked photos of Dhanush with Star Vijay anchor Divyadarshini ( DD) was one that did much damage. It was said that director A L Vijay ( Thalaivi ) and actress Amala Paul separated as the latter was in a relationship with Dhanush. Even  Dhanush name was dragged into the Samantha – Naga Chaitanya split. 

Aishwarya herself is a director ( film 3 ) and the song Kolaveri Di did give her mileage. Her Bharathanatyam recital at UN was heavily trolled. Despite all her shortcomings, she comes across a woman with a mind of her own. A quote from an interview with her - “ "The best thing about our relationship is the fact that we give each other plenty of space. Neither of us believes in changing for the other person just because we want to be together. When you are in your mid-20ss your mind is set in terms of what you believe in and it is very hard to change yourself.". 

Incidentally younger sister Soundarya (married the second time) tweeted a congratulatory post on Simbhu getting doctorate and it had Dhanush fans fuming. 

 

Critically Covid struck SPB and son Charan together in a song to release on Aug 15th

Tommorow ( Aug 15th) will see the release of song in which  SPB, who is battling Covid in a hospital along with son  SPB Charan have sung along with the 65 singers who have lend their voices to the all time hit Thamizha Thamizha composed by A R Rahman as part of the move to generate funds to support the singers and musicians of the musical fraternity in distress during the pandemic. A R Rahman, Mohanlal, KGF Yash will release the song at 11 AM.

Earlier in a video, he had revealed that he had fever, a cold and chest congestion, and wanted to get tested for the disease. The reports were positive, and doctors recommended him to follow home quarantine. Instead of going back home, he admitted himself to the hospital, keeping in mind the safety of his family members. To Bollywood buffs, he is known for his evergreen songs in films like "Ek Duuje Ke Liye", "Maine Pyar Kiya", "Humn Aapke Hain Koun..!" and "Hum Saath-Saath Hain".

United Singers Charitable Trust (USCT), a non-profit organisation founded by revered playback singer Mr. Srinivas along with Mr. Unnikrishnan, Mrs. Sujatha Mohan, Mr. Rahul Nambiar and Mr. Ranjith Govind on board as trustees, with the motive to generate funds to support the singers and musicians of the musical fraternity in distress during the pandemic. The song is a reprise of an AR Rahman classic, which stands for unity in times of difficulty. This version of the song has 65 singers coming together and performing in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The song was completely recorded and produced by the singers from their respective homes during the total lockdown.

“Together As One” song was curated by Mr. Srinivas along with Mr. Rahul Nambiar and Mr. Aalaap Raju, mixed and mastered by Ishit Kuberkar. The video is compiled by Litbox Media Factory and the release is administered and managed by Silver Tree Talent Management.
USCT is next planning for a global concert in September to raise funds from all across the globe for the same cause.
