A R Murugadoss is smiling at reports that Sikandar is Sarkar remake. It is not. This ARM story was told to all big heroes after Sun dropped the proposal of ARM with Vijay. Vijay increased his price and so also ARM. Sun said that the overall budget for Vijay film cannot go beyond the limit they have put up and so ARM has to go back to his old rate or work it out with Vijay. Rashmika Mandanna with three Bollywood hits has consolidated her position and after a long time a South Indian actress is at the top. Animal, Pushpa 2 and now Vicky Kaushal starrer “Chhaava”, she is at No 1. Apart rom this her dedication has impressed the industry. Despite her foot injury, she attended all the promotions of Chhaava. She made her acting debut with Kirik Party, a Kannada film, in 2016. She found further success with Chamak the following year. As Pishpa 2 crashes in Kerala- meet Khader Hassan who made him Mallu Arjun

As Pusha 2 Kerala collections are drying up after two days of release and distributors staring at Rs 60 cr loss, we go back to days when Allu Arjun was called Mallu Arjun for hos popularity in Kerala.
 Director Jis Joy said that he went to Thiruvananthapuram and dubbed without any hope when the movie 'Arya' came in 2007 Since Allu Arjun's debut film Arya, he has been voiced by Jis in Malayalam. 

The growth of Allu Arjun’s stardom in Kerala, where no Telugu star has ever enjoyed a major fan base, is largely thanks to the efforts of Khader Hassan, a small-time producer from Thiruvananthapuram, who brought Arjun’s Arya to Kerala. He produced a dubbed version and released it across the major centers in the State through his distribution company, Redak Media.

“I did not foresee his stardom,” says Hassan. “He was a lesser-known actor then. But I felt Arya had the potential to be a super hit. It’s a highly energetic film, and Allu was so energetic. There was no such actor in Malayalam at that time – young and energetic, whom family audiences and youngsters could love, like Vijay in Tamil. Allu had that charm,” he adds.

Hassan started off as a producer in Mollywood. The first two films he produced – Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam and Nakshathra Kannulla Rajakumaran – flopped at the box-office, eroding his finances. That prompted him to change tracks, and try his hand at films in another language.  “Once, when I was in Chennai, I happened to watch on TV a song from the Telugu film Nuvve Nuvve. It was very cute, as were the visuals. I thought youngsters in Kerala might love this film. That was in 2001. I didn’t exactly research the market. I bought the dubbing rights, gathered a team of writers and voice-over artists and got the work done,” he says.

Nuvve Nuvve became Pranayamaay. Satheesh Muthukulam wrote the dialogues, and Rajeev Alunkal, then a  novice, handled the lyrics. “We would sit together and discuss how the lyrics and dialogues had to be. I didn’t want them to sound awkward,” says Hassan, who already had a distribution agency in Kerala; it made theatrical release easy. “We promoted the film like  we would promote a film starring newcomers.” Pranayamaay was followed by films such as Nilaavu Pole, a dubbed version of Ela Cheppanu, starring Tharun and Shriya. Hassan also brought to Kerala Happy Days, a campus film by Shekhar Kammula, starring a bunch of fresh faces. The film became popular in the State.

But, it was Allu Arjun’s films such as Arya, Happy, Bunny and Krishna that turned Hassan’s fortunes. The industry would agree that Allu Arjun’s stardom in Kerala was largely shaped by Hassan, who registered fans’ associations for the actor to promote his films. The first unit was registered in Vellanad area of Thiruvananthapuram in 2006. At present, the Telugu star has over 300 such units in the State.

“I chalked out a market plan for Allu Arjun. I knew it was important to create a superstar for the dubbed films to be superhits. So, I took the initiative to form fans’ associations for Allu. We distributed over 15,000 ID cards under the banner of Allu Arjun Fans Association in 2003.”

The response was great. Famed voice artist Jismon Joy, now an established filmmaker with three movies to his credit, was chosen to be Allu’s voice in Arya after a massive audition. The makers were looking for a soft, youthful voice for the actor whose forte was boyish characters, and Jismon fit in perfectly.

Jismon continues to dub for Allu Arjun, although Hassan no longer distributes the actor’s films in Kerala. “Allu’s fans tell me that they can’t imagine another voice for the actor,” says Jismon.

Hassan notes that although a section of the Malayali audience does not accept the gravity-defying action that is common in Telugu commercial films, another section of youth enjoys it. “See the number of youngsters registered in various fans’ associations of Allu Arjun across Kerala,” he says.

When Hassan started producing and distributing dubbed films, the concept of satellite rights wasn’t very prevalent. Television channels had not yet proliferated. Surya and Asianet, the two powerful players, were not willing to air dubbed films. Now, all of them telecast dubbed films, especially those starring Allu.

“After a few films, I became a familiar name in Tollywood. I received an offer to make a dubbed version of films such as Eega and Mirchi. Prabhas wanted me to take up the dubbing of a few of his films,” says Hassan, adding that he lost the opportunity to take up Baahubali because he was working on his directorial. “That was a foolish decision,” he says.

It’s been over five years since Hassan produced a dubbed film. In January, he released Njanum Ente Sreeyum, the dubbed version of Oh My Friend, starring Siddharth, Shruti Haasan and Hansika, which was released in Telugu in 2011. “I bought the dubbing rights the same year, but there was a delay in release,” he says. Hassan’s last major release was in 2012 when he distributed Gajapokkiri. He took a break for his directorial debut Friendship, which released in 2016.

Hassan’s directorial debut Friendship, which he had also produced, sank at the box-office without a trace in 2015. The film had a youthful cast and was made on the lines of Telugu entertainers such as Happy Days. However, Hassan missed the point that the new generation wave had transformed Malayalam cinema beyond recognition from what it used to be in the first decade of the 21st Century. The failure of the film devastated Hassan who had already incurred a financial loss from the distribution of a few dubbed films.

“I was very ambitious when I started out. I dreamt about changing the industry and making a mark. I don’t know if I have done anything at all. Sometimes, I feel I have accomplished nothing,” says Hassan.

Jailer became the first film to get aired simultaneously in three South languages and Hindi. Yesterday at 6.30 PM, it was aired on Sun , Udaya ( Kannada) , Gemini (Telugu) and Star Gold ( Hindi). However Sun network Surya did not air Malayalam dubbed version. Jailer’s Tamil version was screened in Kerala and created a record at box office. Jailer’s was released in Andhra and TS with dubbed print and it beat Chiranjeevi film at box office. Simalrly Jailer was dubbed in Kannada with Shivaraj Kumar dubbing for his role and in Hindi too it was dubbed.

A R Rahman after two decades is scoring for a Telugu film and that is Ram Charan film directed by Buchi Babu of Uppena fame, Babu revealed this at the Bigg Boss Telugu episode yesterday. He said all pre-production work was over and the announcement will be made after Game Changer release. Rahman scored for Rajasekar starrer GangMaster directed by B Gopal. The reason was that the film Producer T Subbarami Reddy the industrialist was a friend. The film was dubbed into Tamil and it too ran. Next was remake of Kizhaku Cheemayile titled Palnati Pourusham in Telugu. Rahman Tamil track was used with Telugu lyrics. Both was in 1994. Most of Shankar, Mani Ratnam and Gautham Menon films that got dubbed into Telugu used Rahman tracks.

Rashmika Mandanna spend her Diwali with Vijay Devarakonda ‘s parents. Thalapathy Vijay returned back to Chennai after taking part in chase sequence in Thailand for the upcoming film directed by Venkat Prabhu. It was in Mankatha starring Ajith that Venkat shot a chase scene, Cinematography by Siddharth and action choreography by Dilip Subbaraayan. This film is 25^th film of AGS.

Rashmika sacks mananger - Vishal- Simbhu face ban- Iratta director in SRK film

Rashmika Mandanna has sacked her Hyderabad based manager Kiran. Reports say that he swindled her of Rs 80 lakhs, Other sources say that a web series with Allu Arjun went to Sreeleela and this angered the actress. She is doing the sequel of Pushpa with Allu Arjun.

Tamil Film Producers Council has asked members to not sign actors Simbhu, Vishal, S J Suryah, Yogi Babu and Atharva without getting prior permission. Council has asked these actors to approach the Nadigar Sangham and through them get a clearance. Lyca Productions has a payment balance issue with Vishal . The production house got an order stating that Vishal will clear pending amount of Rs 15 crores before his next release by his production house, The actor however now has signed an outside banner and continues to act as he has stopped making films under his own banner. The banner who signed Vishal is facing a trade blockage from Federation as they want the dues cleared befoe release. Simbhu has committedto act in Corona Kumar and later withdrew from it. Mohanlal lied about Nazir -Rashmika replaces Samantha - Deepika with SRK IN Jawan -

Sreenivasan revealed in a media interview that Mohanlal turned down veteran actor Prem Nazir who had expressed his desire to direct a movie featuring him in the lead. Shah Nawas, son of the late Actor Nazir told Kaumudi Online that it was true that there was a proposal to direct Mohanlal and Sreenivasan was writing the script. Regarding this Lal and Priyadarshan had come to his house for discussions. " What happened later, I have no idea . But I have no reason to disbelieve Sreenivasan " he said. He also added that his father had planned a second film with Mammooty .According to Sreenivasan, Nazir had shared this idea with him during the filming of 'Kadathanadan Ambadi' directed by Priydarshan and had asked him to come up with a story suitable for Mohanlal.

Sreenivasan also mentioned that Mohanlal had apparently informed him of Nazir's proposal but had shown little interest in the project. Later, Sreenivasan had shared a storyline with an intermediary named Nadarajan of KRG Movies, which Mohanlal had rejected, Mohanlal told that Nazir at this old age should not take up direction. Sreenivasan further claimed that Prem Nazir had paid an advance to Mohanlal at the wedding engagement ceremony , but unfortunately, Nazir passed away before the project could materialize. Sreenivasan expressed this after Mohanlal had publicly stated now after Nazir's death that he had wished to act in his directorial movie.

Rashmika- Tammannah to perform at IPL - Nayanthara College Brand Ambassador- Ravi Teja - Samantha in news

During the opening ceremony of IPL, film actors Rashmika Mandanna , Tamanna Bhatia will perform , and Tiger Shroff, Arijit Singh, and Katrina Kaif will grace the stage with their presence. The first match of the tournament will occur on March 31st at the world's biggest stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium located in Ahmedabad.  Keerthy Suresh landed in Chennai last night. Ajith fan does a moonwalk on bags kept in a running lorry and dies in the fall. Rohini Theatre in Chennai that screened both films witnessed fan fights and window panes were smashed. AK fans coming out got into full clash with Thalapathy fans waiting outside. On twitter the war started with AK moonwalk in Thunivu.

Thalapathy fans soon after the Thunivu show screened at 1 AM took to twitter taking potshots at Ajith’s moonwalk in the film. Dubbed cringe, the momentum gathered as the Varisu show was second and till that time the moonwalk got trending . The flow subsided  after Varisu show. It was AK fans asking to go to Varisu with a towel as it was a mega serial. Next was that Kushboo was missing from the film.

As time went now the question is about first day collections. Thalapathy fans say that Varisu will collect Rs 25 crore on TN Day one and AK fans says that Thunivu is in range of Rs 40 crores. AK fans hit back saying that even Varisu world wide collection will not match TN collections of Thunivu.

Another tweet that created a flutter was Keerthy Suresh official rooting for Varisu. As a report is circulating about a linkage with the actress and the actor, it further fuelled speculation.
