Two South remakes flop in Bollywood and two Nepo kids stare at a flop. Yet another nepo kid ready for launch. Hindi remake of Love Today the Tamil film is Loveyeappa and first reviews are bad. Despite high profile publicity, the film opening is lukewarm. Even a re-release Sanam Teri Kasam has a bigger opening. Junaid Khan son of Aamir Khan and Sridevi daughter Khushi debuted on OTT and this is their first theatre release. Loveyapa is an official remake of the Tamil romantic comedy Love Today, which arrived in 2022 and was a super hit. Mounted on a budget of 6 crore, the film earned 66.57 crore in its lifetime, almost 11 times higher than its budget. Love Today, churned out a profit of 60.57 crore, making an unbelievable 1009.5% return on investment! Malayalam film Mumbai Police remade as Deva by Roshan Andrews who directed the original is struggling to get decent numbers at box office. Andrews made a few crucial changes and for Shahid Kapoor it got him good reviews but the box office is weak. Film has total of 29.05 crore net and it will finish with 35 crore net domestic lifetime. Film collected 34.01 crore gross worldwide over the weekend and approximate 50 crore worldwide gross in 1st week. Naomika daughter of Rinkie Khanna d/o of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple is expected to share screen space with Agastya Nanda (grandson of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan). Khushi Kapoor opposite Atharva - Karthi next - Thyagaraja Bhaghavathar biopic - 0hruva Natchitram story

 

Khushi Kapoor is making her debut in Tamil opposite Athrava says a report. The film directed by Akash , associate of Vignesh Shivan. The film start shoot soon. Khushi is second daughter of Sridevi- Boney and is awaiting of her Hindi film The Archies directed by Zoya. It is scheduled to stream on Netflix.

Karthi is said to have started work in a film directed by Prem Kumar of 96 fame. The film also has Aravind Swamy on board. It is being shot in Thanjavur and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment

Gautham Vasudev Menon and Chiyaan Vikram Dhruva Natchithiram Chapter 1 Yuddha Kandam is all set to sign a deal wit Netflix and Kalaignar TV. In all probality it will be picked up by Red Giant. The story is about a mystery man who gets agitated that Indian commandos arrived hours after the terrorists took sige of Taj Hotel. He sets up a private force that will fight terrorist. Vikram is one of them but to public , he is a Tamil teacher. The team is called The Basement. To keep the team financially afloat they take missions to destroy terrorist groups abroad.

 

Nataraj Subramaniam is to play the iconic Late Thyagaraja Bhagavathar in a web series for Sony Liv. It is directed by A L Vijay who directed the film Thalaivi based on Late Jayalalitha with Kangana playing the title role.

Natraj known a Nutty has worked as cinematographer in Hindi films with Anurah Kashyap and in Dhanush film Ranjhaana. In Tamil he worked in Vijay film Thupakki and Puli. As an actor, he has worked in several films including hit film Karnan with Dhanush.Bhagavathar was acclaimed for his powerful, melodious voice and the ease with which he could sing high-pitch notes. Critics and film historians acknowledge Bhagavathar as the First Superstar of Tamil cinema ( 1937 -1944). His film Haridas ran for three Diwalis continently at Broadway Theatre in Chennai and that record has not been broken. Implicated in murder of a journalist, he was sent to jail for three years and later released after he was found not guilty. After that he had lost his market and wealth. Recently his grandson approached CM Stalin for financial help. He was allotted a Housing Board Flat and given Rs 5 Lakhs.

Aamir has already acquired the rights to remake the Malayalam film "Jay Jaya Jaya Hey," as we previously reported. Despite facing allegations of nepotism, Zoya Akhtar's upcoming project featuring star kids Suhana Khan (daughter of SRK), Agastya Nanda (son of Shweta Bachchan Nanda), and Khushi Kapoor (Sridevi's second daughter) is set to release this year.

Captain Miller shoot on despite environmentalists protest 

Director Arun Matheswaran, who is working on the Dhanush starrer film 'Captain Miller', has stated that the shooting is taking place at the Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve (KTMR) in Tamil Nadu. However, the local council has accused the production unit of causing damage to the water canals that supply water to nearby villages while erecting a set in the forest. Additionally, the unit has allegedly violated the Forest Act by using explosives and high beam lights at night, causing disturbance to the wildlife in the area.

Arun has responded to these accusations by claiming that the land being used for the shoot is private property and that they have obtained permission from all relevant authorities to carry out the filming. The shoot has been ongoing for the past two months and will continue. Despite the concerns raised by environmentalists, a video clip of a war sequence from the film has been released.

BiggBoss Abhinay wife in medical seat fraud

Aparna, who is the wife of Actor Abhinay and the grandson of actor Gemini Ganesan, as well as an ex-contestant of Bigg Boss, has been accused of cheating a fashion designer out of Rs 5 lakh, according to a police complaint filed in a Chennai police station. The designer, Manju, who works in the film and TV industry and supplies clothing to Aparna, who is a garment exporter, stated in her complaint that her daughter had attempted to secure admission to a prestigious medical college but failed, and that she approached Aparna for help. Aparna allegedly informed her that a seat could be obtained for her daughter for Rs 20 lakhs through a middleman, and Manju paid Rs 5 lakh as part of the deal. Aparna then allegedly sent a certificate indicating that a seat had been reserved for Manju's daughter, but when Manju attempted to verify it, she discovered that it was fraudulent. Aparna subsequently closed her office and ceased responding to Manju's calls. Manju has submitted call recordings and copies of the certificate as evidence.

During Abhinay's appearance on Bigg Boss, co-contestant Pavni accused him of making unsolicited advances toward her. Reports suggested that Aparna was offended by this and distanced herself from her husband. Pavni, on the other hand, became involved with co-contestant Amir, a choreographer, and is currently pregnant. The couple also appeared on screen together in the Ajith film Thunivu.
