Samantha in race for Allu Arjun - Atlee film / Dushara Vijayan in Vishal film

 Samantha is top on the list of heroines that are to strar in the Allu Arjun- Atlee film. The first choice was Priyanka Chopra but as she is locked in a contract with Rajamouli film, the makers are loking with someone with exposure to International crew. Samantha who has acted in the webseries Citadel is now top priority. Apart from this Jhanvi Kapoor is on the cars as the subject has Allu Arjun in dual characters.

On the biz front, we hear that the project is Rs 800 crores and second to Rajamouli- Mahesh film. The calculation is that it needs to collect 1600 cr in India alone to be a hit. -nRs 330 cr higher than Pushpa 2 which holds the current record at 1265.97 cr.

Sun Pictures dropped a poster recently to mark 6 million+ cumulative views of the announcement glimpse. Vishal's decision to work on the film puts rumors about him teaming up director Sundar C to rest. Meanwhile, Ravi Arasu was also in talks to direct Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar’s Tamil debut film as a lead.

Dushara Vijayan is currently enjoying the success of Veera Dheera Soora starring Vikram in the lead. Vishal who is basking in the success of his comedy drama Madha Gaja Raja, has announced that he is teaming up with Gautham Vasudev Menon and Ajay Gnanamuthu for his upcoming projects. He has also confirmed that the long-delayed project Thupparivalan 2 is in the making and will be completed after his collaboration with Gautham Menon.
