Tamil Nadu State Government has allowed theatres screening Leo to have five shows a day from October 19 to October 24 . The producers Lalit Kumar along with Film Producers Council had asked for 6 shows and that was shows at 4 AM and 7 AM on Oct 19 and five shows from 20 -24 as they are festival holidays. The press release has given permission for five shows but has not mentioned the first show timing. Theatres would not like to give a gap if the first show is at 4 AM as the next show can be only at 9 AM and if they decide to run five shows from 4 AM, then late night show which is the biggest collection would be winded up before 9 PM, Theatre owners would have to take a call on this as police protection for 4 AM show is unlikely. This five show regulation is only for Leo first five days and not a regular measure as demanded by Producers Council. Leo scriptwriter Ratnakumar in an interview said Director Lokesh had witten the story and script a year ago. After Trisha came on board, then changes had to b made as the coming together of this pair would remind one of Ghilli and so in Kashmir portions, Vijay’s character is an extension of Ghilli character.
