Nayanthara Dubai holiday spoiled by Rajini film Producer/ Ajith GBD release out/- Atlee new investment

 

Atlee buys a Pickleball team and names it Bengaluru Jawans and Nayanthara who is holidaying in Dubai on board the yacht owned by actor Madhavan is said to have been issued a legal notice from Sivaji Productions for using clips from Chandramukhi in the Netflix documentary without permission.

What is a pickleball game?

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. It is a game that is appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels. Rules for pickleball are simple, making it a great introductory sport.

The much awaited World Pickleball League is expected to see the light of day this year and the new team owners joining the tournament is filmmaker Atlee, the man behind one of the highest grossing Hindi films of 2023-- 'Jawan'.

Along with his wife Priya Atlee, the filmmaker now owns Bengaluru franchise called Bengaluru Jawans.

The Bengaluru Jawans team consists of Indian pickleball sensation Vrushali Thakare who is better known as Hammer Thakare for her dashing style of play. She will be joined by Jack Foster, Katerina Stewart, Trang Hyunh McClain, Marcelo Jardim, Alejandra Bobaria, Felix Grunert, Mauro Garcia.

Atlee and wide co-produced Baby John the Hindi remake of Tamil film Theri. The remake rights was bought for Rs 10 crore. Film bombed badly at box office.

Sivaji Films that produced Chandramulkhi the Tamil film starring Rajinikanth and Nayanthara has send a legal notice to the actress and OTT giant Netflix for using scenes from the film in wedding documentary. Popular actor and YouTuber Chitra Lakshman revealed this information on Monday through his channel. Earlier, actor-producer Dhanush had sued Nayanthara for Rs 10 crore for using scenes from his production venture Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Sivaji Productions has demanded Rs 5 crores as compensation.

As Lyca the Producers off Ajith’s Vidamuyurchi  announced a postponement from this Pongal season , Mythiri Movie makers announced April 10 as the release date of Good Bad Ugly. It has Trisha as leading lady. Lyca is said to be pressuring Tamil film Federation to stall Game Changer release as Shankar has not completed Indian 3andt hey term it as an breach  of contract.

Rajini back to Coolie on October 15th - Mohanlal waits for Kamal's Gift

 

Lokesh Kanagaraj has told the media that Rajinikanth will report for shooting of Coolie on October 15^th. He said that Rajinikanth had informed the unit that he would be going to Apollo and that he was not suddenly rushed to the hospital. 40 days ago he knew about the treatment and told the unit. He said that if it was emergency then would Coolie unit continue shooting ?.

Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan have worked in one movie – Innai pol Oruvan. Lal said that they had only one scene together on screen and rest was through conversations between the characters. Allu Arjun first choice for Vada Chennai - Maddy- Nayan team up - Kirthi Shetty - Karthi team up- Mohanlal - lijo in Chennai

Viduthalai 1 is being distributed in Andhra and Telangana by Allu Arjun's father, Allu Aravind. During a media meet in Hyderabad, Vetrimaaran shared that he had presented the script of Vada Chennai to Allu Arjun when he met him in Chennai. R Madhavan- Nayanthara - Siddharth team up for sports srama An upcoming sports drama film titled The Test has brought together R Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth, and is directed by debutant Shasikanth. The movie had a low-key launch in the city. Currently, Karthi is busy filming Japan, which is directed by Raju Murugan. Kirthi Shetty has several other projects in the pipeline, including Custody with Naga Chaitanya and directed by Venkat Prabhu, a film with Sharawanand, a Malayalam movie with Tovino, and Jeyam Ravi’s Genie, directed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan, who was previously an assistant to Mysskin. Her debut film Uppena in Telugu was a massive blockbuster. ------- Mohanlal - Lijo unit in Chennai next Renowned filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery has teamed up with Mohanlal for the movie 'Malaikottai Vaaliban', and the first schedule of filming has already been completed after a 75-day shoot in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer. The team is now set to move to Chennai to commence the second schedule, which is slated to begin in mid-May and span 40 days. Rocketry movie: Kerala audience reject biopic on Nambi Narayanan

 Rocketry ; Nambi effect directed by actor R Madhavan who also plays the central role, as per box office figures on Day 3 shows that the Kerala movie goers for whom Nambi Narayanan and his struggles is not unknown , has  totally cold shouldered a biopic on him. Two days collections are in the range of Rs 8 lakhs total. Though Andhra too has dismal figures, the lack of interest in general public to see this film dubbed in Malayalam is something that is worrying. Nambi's real life story is more known in Kerala than in any other part of India. In fact, Nambi was a BJP campaign material to show how a man who put Indian space mission on the World map was wronged by a system ( Congress) and jailed . It was the Modi sarkar that gave him the Padma Bhushan and a compensation amount more than what the Apex court had told to give.

As a film critic, I found the first part about 1 hour and 40 minutes too boring to sit through. To establish the character of Nambi, too much of technicalities went in like debate between Kalam ( Abdul) and Nambi about liquid and cryogenic etc with Vikram Sarabhai as a spectator. There were also some hilarious dialogues like the Russian scientist team member ( woman) saying looks like he ( Nambi) knows the colour of our  undergarment ( jatti in Tamil). Also the buildup reached a zenith with Nambi saying to his team members that he would go ahead even without any of their help.

The movie got into flow after the persecution of Nambi started and from there till the end, it was hell of a emotional ride with Nambi and Maddy who keeps you engrossed. Special mention of Simran - she just blows you with her act of a deranged wife. I felt if the first part was drastically trimmed and second half came in the first part, film would have done wonders. The film's trailor gives the audience that it of a saga of a wronged man who got justice and to reach that it takes cool one hour and forty minutes !!!

Now critics have given a good rating and that should not have stopped Malayalee audience to see biopic of Nambi who is familiar to them. Madhavan is no stranger to them and add to it Surya in a cameo. You cannot put it on the actor's box office pull as in Kerala, it works for an opening only. In Hindi, Day 2 and 3, the figures are rising from a dismal 10% occupancy and it is only on critics rating and mouth publicity. Modi does come in the portion of Nambi being conferred the national honors.

In Tamil, Madhavan is Maddy and though he has not been seen on big screen for a long time for Tamil audience, he still has a pull with the multiplex crowd ( especially in Chennai). Figures are impressive as it around Rs 1.5 crore for two day. Film is said to have cost Rs 50 crores and release got stuck as two waves of Covid played havoc. JAI HIND
