Kamal back on December 9 for Amaran success meet ; TN CM is Chief Guest - Rajini Coolie on May 1 - T69 update

 Kamal Haasan will be back on December 9 from USA to attend the success meet of his production Amaran. The public function will see Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin will be Chief Guest. As December 12 is Rajinikanth birthday, the Superstar goes out of town and so his availability for the function is not known. But as of now December 12 is the Amarn event .Though it was widely publicised that NetFlix pushed the premiere by a week and release it on December 5th due to good theatre collections, the real reason was that Kamal who is away in USA wanted to hold the function just few days after OTT release and thereby give out a final tally at theatre box office at the event. He could arrive only by first weekend of December and so he and NetFlix agreed on this release date. The box office collections after the second weekend has dropped drastically in all releasing areas and with Kanguva coming on November 14th, the film's run will be almost over. On Tuesday, it was Rs 3.6 cr in Tamil and almost a pittance in other States.

Coolie directed by Lokesh with Rajinikanth is all set for May 1 the workers day and also it will get an extended weekend holiday. Lokesh after the film has to move to Kaithi 2 with Karthi. The film has Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sruthi Haasan, Sathyaraj, Shoubin, Music by Anirudh. Aamir Khan is said to have played a cameo.

Rajinikanth and Dhanush in Jailer (2023) and Captain Miller (2024) , Shiva Rajkumar revealed that he has been approached for a role in Thalapathy 68. Talking to Radio Mirchi , ge said - “They have approached me for a beautiful character in Vijay’s film. It sounds interesting, but I don’t know how it will shape up because of my dates. They are saying it’s Vijay’s last film, but I personally feel it should not be so. As a friend and well-wisher, I think Vijay is a fantastic actor and a good human being. The ambition that he has got is fantastic. I respect him for that. So I hope I freeze the project.”

Thalapathy 69 not a Kamal reject - Nithya again with Dhanush -Payal Rajput hits big time

Thalapathy 69 a doubt - Sun- Atlee- Salman Khan tieup

Thalapathy Vijay political Manager Bussy Anand has hinted that Vijay 69 might not happen immediately as there are many issues regarding the political party Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam( TVK ) remains to be done. The TVK has been registered and now an election symbol and a flag has be adopted by the party and presented before the Election Commission. He said that the film GOAT still has some portions that needs to be shot. The idea is that GOAT be the last film of Vijay before taking full time politics, he hinted. Our trackers say that the real reason is that the subject is matter of confusion. One view is that the last film V69 should be a political one and should introduce the TVK flag and symbol. EC has to decide on symbol choice. Biz wise, a political film can face political hurdles in many forms and also the film need not be subjected to a criticism before the TVK faces polls. If Vijay keeps another 6 months for film shooting , party work would get slowed. In this view, party heads want Vijay to go full steam on TVK. Ww will have to wait for last word by Thalapathy.
