Mammootty has arrived in London to commence the next crucial phase of filming for Patriot, the much anticipated political espionage thriller directed Mahesh Narayanan. This update was officially announced on Monday by the film’s producer, Anto Joseph, through various social media platforms, leaving fans excited. In the footage, the senior actor was seen warmly engaging with fans who had gathered at the terminal to catch a glimpse of him. The actor was also seen obliging fans with pictures at the airport. About Patriot London schedule The London schedule marks a pivotal segment in the making of Patriot, following the successful completion of the Hyderabad filming schedule earlier this month. The team is slated to begin shooting in London from October 15, with plans to continue production into mid-December. This extended schedule is indicative of the film’s grand vision and the elaborate storytelling that it promises to deliver. Produced by Anto Joseph alongside partners CR Salim and Subhash Manuel, Patriot boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes industry heavyweights such as Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathy, Darshana Rajendran, and Zarin Shihab. The film’s visual narrative is being shaped under the expert guidance of cinematographer Manush Nandan, whose notable previous work includes films like Dunki and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. His involvement ensures a compelling and visually rich cinematic experience. Set against a tense backdrop of political power plays, surveillance, and state control, Patriot is described as a high-stakes political thriller that dives deep into themes of intrigue and authority. Earlier this month, the release of the Patriot teaser generated significant buzz, particularly due to the much-anticipated on-screen reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal after more than a decade. In addition to Patriot, Mammootty is also gearing up for the release of his next project, Kalamkaval, which is expected to hit theatres in November. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this cinematic moment, which adds to the film’s allure. The movie is slated for a grand theatrical release during Vishu 2026.

Rajinikanth flies economy class / Vadivelu' film washout / Ajith GBU on May 8

 In spite of being the megastar of India, Rajinikanth chooses to lead a simple life. Throwing no starry tantrums, the actor’s humble lifestyle and respectful demeanour gave him an unbreakable fandom. Rajinikanth is often referred to as Thalaiva, a name given by the people of the country. Recently, a few got a chance to fly with him in the same aircraft.

Rajinikanth ditched the luxury of private jets for his recent travel. Instead, he was seen boarding an IndiGo flight. Instead of business class, he opted for a regular economy seat. In a video that went viral on the internet, the passengers were left pleasantly surprised. As soon as Rajinikanth boarded the flight with some ground security personnel, people started hooting loudly, cheering, and clapping. The megastar thanked them for the welcome and waved at his fans with a sweet smile.

Good Bad Ugly is likely to premiere on May 8, and in addition to the original Tamil version, other dubbed versions are also expected to stream on the platform. Usually, Kollywood films have a four-week theatrical window, which means that films arrive on OTT four weeks or 28 days after theatrical release. Even the Ajith Kumar starrer reportedly has a four-week window.

Directed by Sundar C, Gangers ,the Kollywood action comedy opened to mixed reviews from critics. Even among the ticket-buying audience, it is faring with mixed word-of-mouth. As a result, there was not much improvement on day 2. Morning shows started with 9% occupancy. There was some growth of up to 13% in the afternoon shows. Evening shows saw an occupancy of 14%, followed by 19% at night.

Reportedly, Gangers is made on a budget of just 16 crores. Against this cost, it has already earned 1.23 crores in 2 days. If calculated, the film has recovered 7.68% of the total budget. Considering the poor trend, it is unlikely to recover its cost and is heading towards the verdict of flop or losing at the Indian box office.

For Sundar C, it will be a big blow as his last directorial venture, Aranmanai 4, was a commercial winner and it earned 100.24 crore gross globally.

Mookuthi Amman 2 Pooja costs Rs 1 crore ? / Anna Ben in Yakshi Hindi film

In recent times , film poojas are rarely conducted spending huge amounts. Reminding of glorious old times of Kollywood , Mookuthi Amman 2 invite cost Rs 6000 per piece. 20 lady social media influencers were given a diamond mookuthi ( nose ring). Opening day set designed for film promo alone cost Rs 1 crore. After discarding her Lady Superstar tag, Nayanthara, who rarely attends the pooja ceremony of her films, has made an exception by gracing the launch of her upcoming movie Mookuthi Amman 2. Her banner Rowdy Pictures is co- producer along with C Sundar- Kushboo Avni Cinemax. Directed by Sundar C, the film is a sequel to Nayanthara and RJ Balaji's Mookuthi Amman which released in 2020.

Before she walked on stage, Nayanthara got a roaring welcome at the venue enterance. She then went on to greet other noted celebrities at the event. Dressed in a bright red saree, Nayanthara showed her devotional side, by folding her hands in front of the Amman deity in front of her for the first shot. Talking at the event, producer Ishari Ganesh spoke about Nayanthara's preparation for the role. He said "Mookuthi Amman is a divine role. So, she went on fasting for a month. Her children have been fasting for the last week" he said.

Ahead of the event, Superstar Rajinikanth has extended his wishes to producer Ishari K Ganesh for 'Mookuthi Amman 2', showing his support for the film. The makers posted "Our very own thalaivar Superstar #Rajinikanth's blessings & wishes for #MookuthiAmman2 ". Iconic actor Kamal Haasan also shared his wishes to the producer. The post read "An exciting chapter 2 begins! #KamalHassan ❤️ wishes for the grand beginning of Mookuthi Amman 2! " The event saw director Sundar C, his wife actress Khushboo as well. Regina Cassandra, Duniya Vijay, Meena, Yogi Babu and Ravi Mohan were also in attendance. Ishari Ganesh announced that Vels Film International has been listed in the stock exchange and soon a list of other projects will be made.. Actor Nayanthara, Madhavan and Siddharth's much-awaited film Test has got a release date. The makers have taken to social media to share the details. Test On OTT It has been announced that Test will release on Netflix from April 4.

Anna Ben, celebrated for her roles in Kumbalangi Nights, Helen, Kottukali, Kalki ,took to social media to announce the exciting project, Yakshi in Hindi . Written and directed by Karan Sunil, known for his work on the series Code-Switched, Yakshi is an Indo-American co-production backed by Lambe Log Productions and Full Spectrum Features. Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan Khan, is playing the lead. The details of the plot for Yakshi remain undisclosed.

Jason Sanjay’s first directorial film’s hero Sundeep Kishan film Mazaka in Telugu flopped badly. After the flop of “Mazaka,” Sundeep Kishan will struggle to land more movies. He is acting in two web series, though. He will play a key role in “The Family Man 3” (Amazon Prime) and “Subbu” (Netflix).

After 10 years, Mohanlal and Suriya will clash at the Kerala box office. Lal’s Thudarum is set for May1 release and so is Retro of Suriya. After Vijay, Suriya has most fans in Kerala. Laila, Vishwak Sen’s latest film, was released on this Valentine’s Day, and it ended up as a big failure, The film is set to stream on 7th March on Aha. Chhaava OTT streaming details are out, as the sensational blockbuster is arriving on Netflix on 11th April in all languages. Dragon will be Streaming from March 28th in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam & Kannada on Netflix. The sensational blockbuster is still going strong in theatres and has collected around 120 Cr till now. The film has Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah ( who were part of the first part) and Kaveri who is Shekar’s daughter. The film is titled Masoom Next Generation.
