Indian 2 shoot at Kalpakkam 

 Kamal Haasan is currently working on the filming of 'Indian 2' at the outskirts of Chennai, and his arrival has caused nearby fans to flock to the shooting location hoping to catch a glimpse of the renowned actor. The gathering of fans at the exit gate grew larger and ended up blocking Kamal Haasan's path. However, the actor graciously stepped onto a stand to wave at his adoring fans and express gratitude for their love and support. The set of 'Indian 2' became highly energetic due to the enthusiastic chants from the crowd. Kamal Haasan appears to be filming for his character Senapathy, as he is seen sporting a clean-shaven look.

The 'Indian 2' shoot is currently happening at Sadras Dutch Fort in Kalpakkam, and the team plans to continue filming for another week at the location. Kajal Aggarwal is also part of the cast and has confirmed her presence on set by sharing a picture. Other actors in significant roles include Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Guru Somasundaram. The late actor Vivek's role will not be replaced in the movie. Anirudh Ravichander is in charge of the music, and the first single is expected to be released soon.

Fahadh Faasil in Romancham director's next

Fahadh Faasil has been absent from Malayalam cinema for almost a year, but he is now collaborating with Anwar Rasheed for an upcoming film. On March 9, the film began shooting, as evidenced by a photo of the clapboard shared by actor-producer Nazriya Nazim on social media with the caption "Rolling from today!" The clapboard indicates that the film is being directed by Jithu Madhavan, the director of 'Romancham', and Sameer Thahir is the cinematography director. The project is being produced by Anwar Rasheed and Nazriya Nazim. Fahadh Faasil also confirmed the news on his social media, saying "Rolling from today. Jithu Madhavan, Anwar Rasheed, Nazriya Nazim, Sameer Thahir #AnwarRasheedEntertainments #FahadhFaasilAndFriends."

 Fahadh Faasil will be next seen in 'Paachuvum Athbhuthavilakkum'. The upcoming film is helmed by the debutant Akhil Sathyan. The makers have announced the release date as  April 28.

Illaiyaraaja loses cool at audio launch

At the audio launch , Ilaiyaraaja, the composer of 'Viduthalai', assured fans that the plot of the film will be a new one for Tamil cinema. He then called Vetrimaaran one of the most important directors of Kollywood, and he has been saying it after scoring music for 1500 films as he worked with over 1000 directors. Ilaiyaraaja also assured fans that his music in the film will be unique. Ilaiyaraaja turned angry in the mid as fans cheered continuously when he tried to sing a line from the film's song.

Director Vetrimaaran has been working on the Tamil film 'Viduthalai', featuring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, for over two years. This highly anticipated project has been split into two parts, with the first part set to release on March 30. At a grand event held on March 8, the makers unveiled the film's audio and trailer, which promise an intriguing storyline. Although Vijay Sethupathi missed out on the opportunity to star in Vetrimaaran's previous film 'Vada Chennai', he expressed concerns about watching the film as it may evoke regret. He also confirmed that Vetrimaaran is currently working on the script for 'Vada Chennai 2'.

Vikram Hindi dubbed film viewing experience

Experience of seeing Vikram Hindi dubbed in a city theater of Mumbai was told me . A nutshell of the viewer's observation : The first thing one gets to see is is that the audience of families with kids have come. It is obvious that the audience have not seen the teaser or have any clue about the film which is no stuff for kids.  As the film starts and moves forward , except for Kamal Hassan intro, Faahad Fazil and Vijay Setupathi get no whistles. Audience have no clue about Faahad or VJS. Biggest surprise is that  only a few recognised Suriya in the climax and that too as ' I have seen him in Tamil films '.  For  Hindi audience, Vikram is a Kamal Hassan film and not a multi- starrer one.

Now lets hear about the dubbing quality. Nothing bad or jarring. Here the biggest spoil sport is the censors. They have muted out so many portions in dialogues that got claps and whistles in Tamil. What is good for Tamil is poison for Hindi wallahs. Words like Rebel - terrorist are muted. Height of censorship was Suriya iconic dialogue on  life time settlement has been butchered ( muted).

Lokesh had said that if one sees Kaithi before Vikram, many things will fall in place. In Hindi, the character of Arjun das brother Adaikalam is Amruthraj   in Hindi and VJS is Santhnam which is Chandan ( sandalwood) in Hindi probably for same meaning. Like in Master Hindi version, here too a few different shots like a paper which has Chandan written on it have been shown and it is a good effort. Anbu becomes Billa, Dilli becomes Shiva and Adaikalam is Ranga in Kaithi Hindi dubbed by Goldmines. 

Wonder why Periyathambi and his village cooking YouTube channel  is retained in Hindi. For Tamil audience, it strike a chord and the way the recipe is presented is a big hit. To imitate it in Hindi is just foolish endeavour and serves no purpose.

Otherwise as far as musical score is concerned, there is no change. Hindi film does have the goose bump moments and not that it is a total waste. Advise is go through Wiki about Kaithi film role names as some are retained as in original. If you cannot get a Tamil print nearby, Hindi will not totally disappoint you is the parting summary by my Mumbai Ka Dost.

Prabhas - Baahubali Hindi distributor to make Allu Arjun - Pan Indian Star

Allu Arjun  first Hindi release Pushpa The Rise has roped in Prabhas to help in promotions. It has got AA Films Anil Thadani who distributed blockbuster South films like Baahubali and KGF to do the job in North India. Allu Arjun and Rashmika will come in Kapil Sharma show and Salman Khan's Bigg Boss Hindi. The budget of the film is Rs 250 crores. Faahad Fazil plays the villain. 

Goldmine had acquired the Hindi dubbing rights for digital release. Mythiri the production banner  scouted around for a theatrical release in North but Goldmine was not willing to take it up and also objected to it saying that the film rights for North was with them. They felt that Pushpa was not a pan- Indian stuff. So far as they were not even willing to bear the promotion expenses.

Finally, AA Films Anil Thadani ( hubby of Raveena Tandon) who has a deep connect with Telugu filmdom and the Chiru clan agreed to take it up. A PR team is now working towards making the December 6th Hindi trailer release a big event with Prabhas as guest. Though Spiderman is releasing on December 17th, AA films has got most number of screens. Director Sukumar team is overseeing the dubbing and not allowing Goldmine to get away with  howlers that go with Telugu dubbed films. Doubts are raised as to whether the ten day gap between trailer and theater release is enough for Pushpa as a film like 83 releasing on December 24 has already started promotions.

Down South, Pushpa will find it difficult to get theaters in Kerala ( big market of Allu Arjun ) as Mohanlal's Marakkar has taken 90 % screens. With Prabhas from Telugu is only Pan Indian actor in Bollywood, Chiru clan is out to see that All Arjun joins the ranks.
