Mohanlal Re- Release Scares New Releases

Mohanlal rerelease film Ravanaprabhu broke the recorf set by his earlier re- release film Spadikam. Lalettan fans feel that a promo put out by Actor Sharafudheen for the film Pet Detective produced by him and also plays the lead is everty way right. In the promo, the actor calls Producer Antony of Ashiwaad Cinemas and in turn he passes it on to Lalettan. Sharafudheen, tells that he has invested all his money in a film 'Pet Detective' on the 10th, and requests Lal to withdraw Ravanaprabhu re- release pm the same date. He says that he cannot tackle a Mohanlal film on same date. Lal replies with a dialogue from the film- "This is a game I am playing only to win and abruptly cuts the call with the line "Okay mone, line cut line cut" ( he uses to break up a conversation in BiggBoss Malaylam that he hosts). The promo ends with Sharafudheen asking to change the release date of 'Pet Detective' to October 16. Now Mohanlal starrer Vrusshabha is scheduled to be released on 6 November 2025. Though Nivin Pauly is lead in Premam, Sharaf U Dheen's biggest hit is widely considered to be the 2015 blockbuster, Premam, where his role as Girirajan Kozhi earned him widespread recognition. While Premam was his breakthrough, other commercially successful and critically acclaimed films also stand out in his career: • Anjaam Pathiraa (2020): This crime thriller was a major commercial and critical success. • Varathan (2018): Sharaf U Dheen received significant acclaim and an award for his performance in a negative role in this film. • Happy Wedding (2016): A commercially successful comedy where his comic performance was particularly noted.

Ravanaprabhu re-release earned around 1.9 lakh. On the opening day, it opened at 71 lakh, followed by an estimated 73 lakh. On day 3, it jumped again and earned an estimated 80 lakh. Overall, the film earned around 2.26 crore gross at the Kerala box office in the opening weekend. With 2.26 crore gross in the kitty, Ravanaprabhu re-release surpassed the 3-day gross of Spadikam in Kerala. For those who don’t know, Spadikam re-release earned an estimated 1.46 crore gross during the first three days. So, if a comparison is made, Mohanlal‘s latest re-release has earned 18.14% higher collection than Spadikam. Ranjith send nude boy photo to Revathy - Adjustment - compromise no secret - Sharadha

Director Ranjith shot nude photos of a young boy and send it across to Actress Revathy. Revathy is one of the founding members of Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) that is behind the formation of Hema Committee. Ranjith resigned from Chalachitra Akademi , the State Government body after a Bengali actress filed a complaint that she was sexually harassed by the Director. A male victim has mentioned in his complaint about Director Ranjith. The boy said that he was called to the hotel room in Taj Bengaluru and was forced to take liquor and participated in sexual activity with the Director. The director shot some nude photos while talking on the phone and send it to the person with whom he was talking. Ranjith said that he had send the photos to Revathy and she had liked it. The boy said that after he did not get chance to act in two films directed by Ranjith, he had complained to an actress who was close to Ranjith. The incident happened in 2012 when Ranjith was working in Mammootty film Baputty namathil. The man says that the Director said that the photos send to his friends will help him get offers. After 40 years of acting, Revathy in 2022 won Best Actress Award from Kerala State for her performance in Bhoothakalam. “I was told to place the award on my chair, but I didn't feel like letting her go. It took her almost 40 years to reach me” said Revathy while receiving the award from CM Pinnarayi Vijayan. Bhoothakalam was rejected by primary jury but was recalled after four members wanted it to be in final list due to Revathy’s fine performance.
