The content of Kaantha is more about conflict between  M K Bhagavathar and a Director Ayya. The Actor character is said to be modelled on MMKT but giving it a filmic touch . Unlike MKT, the Actor in the film is suited booted and smokes imported cigars and leads a lavish lifestyle like gold plated plates and cups etc. The era is set in the MKT period. Contrary to popular belief, the film title Kaantha is not referring to Laxmikanthan but to film title that the Actor acts. In the story, the title is Shantaa and a woman centric film but the actor changes it to a hero oriented one and titles it Kaantha.

Basically, the film is an ego clash between a director and a lead actor. Director Ayya, played by Samuthirakani, was once a close friend of Chandran, played by Dulquer Salmaan. Ayya helped, motivated, trained, and believed in Chandran’s abilities when he was a nobody, and thus played a prominent role in Chandran’s later success. However, once Chandran became a prominent star, their relationship began to falter.

At this point, the first horror film in Tamil was set to begin production. The film, initially titled Shaantha, was a female-centric project in which Chandran was also cast. But differences between Ayya and Chandran spilled into the production. Chandran seemingly took over the director’s duties, sidelining Ayya and altering the plot in the process. Even the film’s title was changed to Kaantha. What will be the final outcome of this project? And what happens along the way?. In a recent interview, Dulquer confirmed that Kaantha is a fictional crime drama that is only partly inspired by M.K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar’s rise and fall, and it is not a proper or total biopic.

MKT grandson has told the court that his grandfather, a legendary actor and musician, disrespectfully. The movie portrays him as someone who lived with loose morals, became a pauper, destitute and sought alms. The movie further claims he died of indebtedness and penury.  In contrast to this portrayal, Thiagarajan emphasised that his grandfather was "a modest, devout, and simple man of great compassion and charitable disposition who remained a teetotaler and non-smoker throughout his life," according to Live Law. The grandson stated that till the time of his death, MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar lived a dignified life with no economic crisis. He elaborated that even if the makers changed the name, people would be able to recognise him in the movie, damaging his late grandfather's image. The plea also seeks a permanent injunction restraining the filmmakers from depicting his grandfather as a man with loose morals.

The court has formally issued notices to the producers of the film, including Dulquer, demanding a detailed explanation concerning the situation at hand.

 As per a report on Great Andhra, it is mentioned that the makers have roped in actress Bhagyashri Borse as the new female lead in Lenin. But an official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited , The role is of Nadezhda "Nadya" Krupskaya, a Marxist school teacher whom Communist Leader Lenin loved. She was a Russian revolutionary, politician and political theorist. She was a leader of the Bolshevik party  and was married to Vladimir Lenin. The Russian revolutionary leader, Vladimir Lenin, loved two women: his spouse Nadezhda Krupskaya, and the French-Russian communist, Inessa Armand. Despite the rivalry between the two women, all three enjoyed sincere and heartfelt relations, and were essentially a family. Armand's fateful first meeting with Lenin happened in 1909. In fact, thanks to his writings she became a socialist. For a number of years the two were living and working in Paris, and many contemporaries suggested that their relationship had grown into something bigger than friendship during that period. 

By the time he met Armand, Lenin had been married to Nadezhda Krupskaya for 11 years. Apart from being a devout revolutionary and Lenin's trusted assistant, Krupskaya was also his faithful spouse. Despite the natural rivalry for the affection of the Bolshevik leader, the two women managed to establish a friendship.

Lev Danilkin, the author of a recently published biographical work on Lenin, notes that there is no documentary evidence of an amorous link between Lenin and Armand; only the conjecture and gossip of contemporaries.

Nagarjuna, will also be co-producing Akhil Akkineni’s 6th film under the banner of Annapurna Studios alongside Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. He revealed the film's gripping and dramatic first look in April. Akhil look a lot different from his usual romantic image he carried in films such as Akhil, Hello, Mr Majnu, Most Eligible Bachelor and Agent. The film is like to be based on the life of Russian communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin.

Kubera Tamil collections are very bad and Romeo Pictures who bought it for Rs 20 crores is set to lose at least half of the investment. Hindi version is a washout and had no takers in other South States, According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Kuberaa minted Rs 4.02 crore in India on Wednesday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 65.28 crore. Out of the Rs 4.02 crore earned on Wednesday, Rs 2.92 crore came from the Telugu version, Rs 93 lakh from the Tamil version, and Rs 18 lakh from the Hindi version. Kuberaa had an overall 22.52% Telugu occupancy, 13.65% Tamil occupancy and 8.82% Hindi occupancy on Wednesday.
