If Manju Warrier was reachable to Director Prem, would we have got our Janu of 96 ? Even Manju thinks that she could not think of anyone else but Trisha in the role of Janu in the iconic 96. It was a recall by Manju at Footage film promo . She said that Prem Kumar and his team tried to contact her for Janu role and they could not and also they were facing date issues and finally decided to go in for Trisha as Janu. When she was cast for Viduthalai, Prem Kumar had messaged her about the lost effort to get her on board.

Jailer HD print got leaked on Telegram channel and this had dimmed the chances of Netflix and Sun Next who were planning a big hit on OTT by releasing on Gokulasthami ( September 7). This comes after Delhi High Court ordered Sun Pictures to remove the scene where a goonda is sen wearing RCB IPL team jersey . From September 1 the scene will not be available in theatres – OTT – satellite release. The OTT rights went for Rs 100 crores. Rajinikanth who works on a fee per film had struck a deal with Sun Pictures that he did not want any payment and only a percentage of profit as their last outing was only average at box office. He wanted to share the risk and more so after Sun told him that Beast by Nelson had given profits and this made confident to be a partner. This worked big and now his share is said to be close to Rs 200 crores. Maran of Sun Pictures presented BMW X7 to Rajinikanth.

The upcoming film produced by RajKamal Films, featuring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Raju Periasamy, is scheduled to have a significant portion of its filming take place in Kashmir. This marks the second Tamil movie in recent times to have a shooting schedule in Kashmir, following Vijay-Lokesh Leo's project. Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming for Maveeran in Puducherry.

Today, Sanjay Dutt joined Shah Rukh Khan on the set of Jawan where they will be shooting an action scene. Just yesterday, Sanjay returned to Mumbai from Kashmir where he was shooting for the movie "Leo" , starring Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The exact date for releasing "Jawan" will be decided by Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee after the current shoot is completed, which is expected to be by April 10. "Jawan" is the debut Bollywood film for Atlee and Nayanthara, who is the female lead.

n a span of 24 days, Pawan Kalyan completed filming his scenes for the Telugu adaptation of the Tamil movie Vinodaya Sitham. The film is being directed by Samudrakanni, who originally played the role that Pawan is portraying.
