NTR Jr pressure on Andhra Theatres /Mani laughs at Dhruv Project / 3BHK OTT Flop-Maargan HIT

At this juncture of my life and career, I am in no hurry to move from one project to another.” He laughed off on these rumours. “Even I am hearing these rumours. NTR Jr is said to have entered the WAR 2 distribution war in two Telugu States. Naga Vamso who has bought WAR 2 is said to have enlisted NTR Jr in the fight against Asian Cinemas that includes Suneil Narang, Suresh Babu and Dil Raju who are distributing Coolie. In the North Indian scenario, War 2 has got 70 percent of the single screens and a chunk of multiplexes. This influence is expected to translate into a dominant screen share. While Asian Cinemas is aiming for a 60:40 split, Sitara Entertainment is reportedly pushing for a 70:30 ratio in favour of War 2. The source added, “NTR Jr. too is flexing his equations and stardom to get premium showcasing and has succeeded in doing so against Rajinikanth.” This advantage is not just limited to the south, as War 2 is also expected to have a clear lead in North India, ensuring a massive opening. While War 2 is poised for a bigger start, the final verdict will only be delivered by audiences when both films hit theatres on August 14.WAR 2 Hindi version is exactly 1 minute and 40 seconds longer than the other two- Tamil and Telugu..

With all recent releases like Mareesan starring Vadivelu- Fahadh Faazil dropping badly, Vijay sethupathi- Nithya Menen Thalaivan Thalaivi had a strong grip on box office especially on weekend and with four more days to go for Coolie, on Day 17, the gross stands at Rs 55 crores. The box office chart shows on second Sundays and Saturdays the film registered Rs 5 crores collection and an average of Rs 2 crores on other days.

Siddharth's drama film 3BHK has opened on a disappointing note on Prime Video as the lowest debut of 2025 - OTT Verdict. Siddharth‘s film has made the lowest debut for a film that arrived on an OTT platform other than Netflix after ending its entire theatrical run. During its theatrical run, the film earned 12.34 crore net in India. 3BHK, in its debut week, garnered a viewership of 1.2 million, taking the fifth spot in the list of the most-watched films in India on OTT for the week of July 28 – August 3, as per Ormax data.

The Tamil-language crime thriller Maargan, which hit theaters in June, is now making waves on Amazon Prime Video globally. Blending supernatural elements with an investigative plot, the film has now secured a spot among Prime Video’s list of top ten most popular movies worldwide, according to FlixPatrol.

Actor Vijay Antony daughter Meera committed suicide as she was suffering from mental depression is the first information that comes out. Today early morning, she was found hanging from the fan I her room , The servants in the house found her hanging. It is not known whether Vijay Antony and his wife Fathima were at home. Fathima had posted a video long back of his daughter wearing the cultural secretary badge given by Christ Church Convent . An old video has surfaced in which Vijay says that his father had committed suicide and it created a big pain for the family aand saying that suicide is not the answer. He was talking about the death of a producer who committed suicide after being harassed by a film financier. As per sources the child was undergoing consultation with a Psychology in a leading private hospital. The reasons for depression is not known but school authorities reveal that she is a school topper and was preparing hard for the 12th board exams. Vijay Antony as a music composer hit headlines with Nakku Mukku song that was a rage nationally and globally and won the Cannes Lion award and was played at the Cricker Word cup 2011, He turned actor and producer and has a failrly good ration hits. Pichakaran 2 released this year is a big hit and his Kolai is streaming on OTT.

At Jailer success meet, Rajinikanth said that when he saw the film without rerecording , it looked average and just above average. After re-recording, film turned out to be extraordinary. This pat for Anirudh is seen by Nelson fans as a dig at the director.

Mark Antony is the first film in career of Vishal to touch the Rs 50 crore mark in 4 days of Tamil Box office. In Telugu however it has collected only Rs 6 crores. Last hit of Vishal was Irumbu Thirai which collected Rs 45 crores gross and it's Telugu version got Rs 23 crore. Film success goes to S J Suryah and GV rakash music and excellent edits.

Indian cricketer  Harbhajan Singh aka Bhajji pa  makes his debut as junior artiste in Tamil film  Friendship running to empty houses in TamilNadu. Actor- composer Vijay Antony signals that he is a CM aspirant through Kodiyil Oruvan and but sadly has no viewers to get the message. 

Probably in Tamil cinema history, no junior artiste would have got his face on the posters. This credit goes to Bhajii. His cricket achievements have given him this rare status. In case you are an ardent fan of his, there is a full ten minutes devoted to a cricket match. Now this film story is ` Queen’ the Malayalam film ( I did not catch any mention of it in credits). Losliya who got famous through Bigg Boss Reality show makes her debut and though no patch on Saniya Iyyappan, does give a good account. Arjun as the lawyer makes his presence felt ..

Last week we had Vijay Sethupathi play a councilor in Thuglak Darbar ( released on OTT) and now Vijay Antony becomes CM in Kodiyil oruvan. He becomes councilor ( that too in a Chennai Housing Board colony and him being a recent migrant from a small town). Then he gives us a detailed insight into how important a councilor job is and the funds he gets is more important than an MLA- MP fund, After this, he moves to be CM. We are warned that in 2024 there will be a sequel. So Antony will be PM !!!.

This docu-drama on councilor and his job was probably the first step by Vijay Antony to try his luck as councilor in the upcoming local body elections. Good Luck to him.
