 Hridyapoorvam Starring Mohanlal with Malavika Mohanan has Meera Jasmine and Basil Joseph in cameo roles. The plot is about a 45 year old bachelor who goes to Pune to attend the wedding reception of the man who donated his heart . The wedding foes not take place and the bachelor suffers a fall and injures his back. He cannot travel and has to stay back to get it cured. What follows is the plot. He stays in a house owned by a Retired Army Colonel who is bit eccentric. Basil is teaming up with Lal for first time and Meera had acted with Mohanlal in three films and two of them were hits- both Sathyan Anthikad directed films.

The show will perform at various US cities till September 1, It will be first time Prakash Varma who played baddie in Thudarum is making his first stage show., On return he will join Jailer 2 sets for a cameo. Prasanth Neel – NTR film Dragon has added Aishwarya Lekshmi to the cast. Already from Mollywood, Tovino Thomas who plays the bad guy and Biju Menon are on the cast. Rukmini Vasanth is the heroine. Aishwarya was last seen in Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam. "Dragon NTR" refers to the tentatively titled, upcoming film starring Indian actor Jr. NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel. The project, officially known as NTR 31, was slated for a June 25, 2026 release but has since been reported to be changing its name due to the existence of a Tamil film with the same title. It is a large-scale action drama and a significant collaboration between the popular actor and acclaimed director, known for the KGF franchise

Mohanlal - Sivakarthikeyan film dropped

 Currently, Sivakarthikeyan has two projects nearing completion, Madharasi, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. After completing these two, he was preparing to begin work on the project with Mohanlal, directed by Vinayak Chandrasekaran. However, according to 123 Telugu, the collaboration may not happen anytime soon, as Mohanlal is tied up with other commitments. Mohanlal is enjoying the success of his recent theatrical release Thudarum and the re-release of his 2007 film Chotta Mumbai. Sivakarthikeyan, on the other hand, is also riding high on the massive success of Amaran. So, the news of both stars teaming up for a Kollywood project is naturally buzzworthy, especially since rumours about such a collaboration have been circulating for a while now.

The project is being helmed by director Vinayak Chandrasekaran. With Sivakarthikeyan on board, the makers have approached Mohanlal to play the role of Sivakarthikeyan’s father. Mohanlal, too, has reportedly agreed to be part of the film.

Sivakarthikeyan’s next release is Madharasi, which is expected to hit the silver screen on September 5, 2025. This A.R. Murugadoss directorial also stars Sanjay Dutt, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, and Shabeer Kallarakkal, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Next up for Mohanlal is Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The film also features Sangeetha, Siddique, Malavika Mohanan, Baburaj, and Sangeeth Prathap. It is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 28, 2025.

Simran who riding high after Andhagan and her yesteryear song – dance redone in Good Bad Ugly made a dig at  Jyotika. She received the award for her negative role in Andhagan and after that she said that she had complimented a co- actress for her work but she got a reply that it was better than playing aunty roles from the actress. She said that she felt no qualms in doing such roles and it was better than doing Dabba roles. Simran in Ziddi Girls web-series was the highlight. Now many feel that Simran was referring to Jyotika who acted in Dabba Cartel. Dabba also has a meaning  a hollow or no depth.

Malavika Mohanan Recalls Being Body-Shamed

In the interview with Hauterrfly, she revealed, “When I did my first film, I was 21 at that time. I was trolled so much for being skinny. My body changed in my mid-20s. That’s when I got a little curvier. I was trolled so badly, and it was harsh! It really affected me. I got called things like skin on bones, go get some weight… these are still polite things. There were some degrading things as well.”

She slammed people who make others feel bad about their bodies and called it bullying.

She also spoke about South's obsession with navels. “I used to be very perplexed earlier, too, because I’ve grown up in Mumbai. It was a completely new phenomenon that navels are obsessed over so much. And then you’d see pictures of actresses on social media, where they zoom into their bodies. Navel obsession is a very real thing.”

On the work front, Malavika will be next seen in The Raja Saab opposite Prabhas. She also has a Tamil film, Sardar 2, with Karthi. Moreover, she will share the screenspace with megastar Mohanlal in Hridayapoorvam. They have been shooting for the film in Pune.

If anybody blackens Maharaja baddie Anurag Kashyap face, Brahmin organisations would pay Rs 1 lakh. He made a comment that he would urinate on Brahmins. Altough he claimed to be misunderstood and apologized he is under attack. Now, several Brahmin organisations have come together, demanding strict action against him. Things took a sharp turn when six major groups joined hands and announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh to anyone who “blackens Kashyap’s face.”

This protest is being led by the Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha and Pandit Suresh Mishra, who also heads Chanakya Sena. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has not made any cuts to the movie All We Imagine as Light, even though it has an intense lovemaking scene and frontal nudity.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "All We Imagine As Light has an intense lovemaking scene and in another scene, frontal nudity can also be seen. Yet, the Examining Committee took a progressive stand.""They didn't hamper these scenes as they realized that they were an important part of the film's theme and narrative. This makes All We Imagine As Light one of the rarest films of Indian cinema to be saved from Censor's scissors despite the aforementioned scenes."All We Imagine as Light is a heartbreaking story of three women, played by Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam. It follows their lives as hospital workers in Mumbai and touches upon loneliness and companionship.The film has already received international acclaim, having premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival where it became the first Indian film to compete in the main competition since 1994.It also bagged the Grand Prix at the prestigious event.

For first time Kunchacko Boban has signed a non Malayalam. It the film with Prabhas and Director is Sandeep Vanga. He directed Aditya Verma and Animal Both are blockbusters, The film is titled Spirit. meanwhile Kunchacko is part of Mammootty- Mohanlal film and after finishing the Lanka schedule will be in Tirunelveli for his next film.

There is move from various quarters to name the Nadigar Sangham building after Vijayakanth. It was wrongly reported that Nadigar Association is going to be named after the actor. Raghava Lawrence has agreed to play the baddie in Thalaivar 171 directed by Lokesh Kangaraj. It seems that Lokesh had  offered Santhanam character in Vikram but Lawrence turned it down saying that he did want to be seen in a role that relates to drug peddling. It was played by Vijay Sethupathi. This time Lawrence agreed as he is an ardent fan of Rajinikanth and did not want to miss a chance to act with his idol.

Indian 2 Intro shows Senapathy of Indian and not the early days of Senapathy as we expected. Grandeur in songs and crowd scenes and fight against corruption. Rajini silence on Leo - Sangeeth Sivan and Malavika Mohanan in news

Latest on Leo is that Rajinikanth has not spoken a word about the film. Considering that his next film is directed by Lokesh and that he had seen the film, the silence is baffling. Usually, he comes out in the open about any film he likes. Even after seeing Beast, he did not say anything and in this case too Nelson was to direct his next with him.

On box office front after  6 days, the film on 7 day collected Rs 10 crore taking Tamil net to Rs 214 crore . The Hindi version is doing much better than Tiger Shroff Ganapath and Yariyaan 2 ( remake of Bangalore Days ). Theatre owners did not make an money from Leo as Producer- Distributor took away 80 % from first 6 days collection. Tripur Subramanian head of multiplex theatres said that considering overheads like power and other charges , owners have suffered a loss. As there was no other film, theatres agreed for 80 %. Usually it 65% for first week and 60 % for second week. The film will be out on Netflix and date is November 21.

Sangeeth Sivan is back in Bollywood with Golmaal actors Shreyas Talpade and Tushaar Kapoor for a horror film. Produced by Jayesh Patel, the film is set in the 70’s where there was no mobiles and social media. Shooting is on in Faridabad.
