BiggBoss 7 Tamil has no eviction this week - Did Ajith arrange boat for NDRF to save Aamir Khan ? - Aalvandhan jinked ?

This Friday looks like the nineties when Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth clashed on the same day for box office honors. Today Rajinikanth’s Muthu and Kamal’s Aalvandhaan are re-releasing and Kamal’s film which was a dud when released has been edited by Producer Thanu and made to suit the today’s generation. Thanu had always felt that the film was not bad but ahead of the times and that Kamal used him to try out his experiments. Muthu on the other hand was a blockbuster . With all songs a hit, Vasu took Priyadarshan’s Thenmavin Kombathu and gave it a Tamil touch. What we need to know is that whether Aalvandhaan releasing today with entire suburbs of Chennai under water and weather man saying more rain in a few more districts can beat the odds and at least give Thanu the poster costs ? Or will it remain the jinked film ?

Thanu might give it to OTT and get his money and profit too but  Satish – Regina horror comedy Conjuring Kannappan is releasing despite bad weather forecast across the State Is releasing.. Thee Ivan has yesteryear hero Karthik along with Sukunya and young pair is Aishwarya Lakshmi with John Vijay. A brother- sister tale takes the risk to beat floods Two more horror films and Naadu that delves with medical education are also hitting screen this week.

The most surprising fact was that Zee5 postponed the release web series Veerappan the unseen tapes from this week to December 14. The treason being that Chennai being the major subscriber base in Tamil Nadu and many parts of the city still not getting proper power supply, it would be a waste to release now. As the web series will be on the OTT platform and with rains, it could be diversion for those who want stay indoors this weekend and see Veerappan. Another announcement that has got mixed reactions is that BiggBoss 7 Tamil will have no eviction this weekend as voters across the State could not vote due to poor mobile connections due to rain. Mobile connections were briefly down in Chennai and restored quickly. So is this reality show voter base only in Chennai ? Others say that voters and voting be damned as BiggBoss content directors decide who to be kicked out and cite instances where obnoxious contestants are kept back as they give content.

On the sidelines of rescue teams of Vijay coming out with how they risked their lives to save stranded people in Ennore where toxic oil was mixed with stagnant water and that kept away rescue teams from helping them, a photo shows Vijay fans with Vijay photo standing next to an old lady having her meal. Many have scoffed at the report that Ajith arranged for a boat for NDRF to rescue Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal. Actor Bose Venkat asked why this attention to Aamir Khan when the actor has not done anything for his fans stranded in the flood waters

Maoist leader betrayed Brigand Veerappan - First reporter to interview bandit reveals all

CPI( Maoist) leader SM who had close links with the Brigand Veerappan betrayed him by disclosing his movements to the STF in return for looking the other way and getting all access  to a luxurious life reveals Sivasubramanian, the first reporter to interview the brigand and publish it in Nakheeran. His latest book - veerappan-vazhnthathum-veezhnthathum - The autobiographical book that has published three books earlier tracing  Veerappan's life from childhood, in the latest reveals the truth behind the STF  route to trap the sandalwood smuggler. Those in the know claim that the Maoist leader decision could not have been a party decision. Out of the five prisoners release demanded by Veerappan in exchange for Dr Rajkumar, two were from TNLA  the Marxist- Leninist group and three from Tamil National Retrieval Troops that attacked a police station in Erode.

The then US Consul General Richard Haynes had informed his country that the death of Veerappan would lead to more domination of Maoists as the situation that led to the rise of the brigand stills exists in Satyamangalam forests and this vacuum would be filled by the left wing extremist group. It was revealed by Wikileaks.

The writer says that SM or otherwise known as Sundaramoorthy, head of the Tamil Nadu operations of CPI(Maoist) was tired of living underground. STF struck a deal with him and gave him liberty to move about freely and assured him that their target was Veerappan. and that would drop all charges against him. SM who was in touch with Veerappan was used as conduit to gain confidence and even supplied arms.

Consequently the events showed that Maoists gained from the killing of the bandit. An Intelligence report to which Deccan Chronicle was given access has warned the southern states of the 'activation' of a Maoist South Western Regional Bureau (SWRB) at the 'trijunction' of the three southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala despite the strict enforcement and deployment of police and special forces in the rest of India. SWRB comprises the three states, in the former brigand Veerappan’s territory that spans Denkenkottai in Tamil Nadu to Anchetty in Kerala.

"Veerappan territory is around 18,000 sq km across three states. The Maoists are gradually gaining ground in these areas including Gopinatham in Chamrajnagar — the border district in Karnataka and Sathyamangalam forest in the Karnataka - Tamil Nadu border because of several reasons including the dense forest cover and a largely tribal population's resentment against atrocities committed by the special task force, constituted to nab Veerappan," said the officer. Ironically STF Chief Vijayakumar  was called back from retirement to head anti Naxal operation.
