The makers of Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Sudha Kongara, have announced that the movie will hit theatres on January 14, targeting the Pongal holiday.
The announcement was made with a video featuring glimpses of
Siva and Ravi Mohan.
The final schedule of Parasakthi commenced
early in August after a delay caused by the ED raids at the sites related to
the film's production company, Dawn Pictures, due to money laundering charges.
Set in the 1960s, the film will revolve around the events that led to the
anti-Hindi agitation against the then-ruling Congress party.
Parasakthi also stars Atharvaa and
Sreeleela in crucial roles, with the latter marking her Tamil debut.
