Venkatesh - Ajay Devgan Drishyam 3 NOT Mohanlal's Copy

 From what we learn Drishyam 3 Malaylam will not be able to release along with Hindi and Telugu versions. Reason being that both these versions have not been started yet. Secondly, Telugu version is not likely to have Venkatesh as he moves to other projects. Hindi version starring Ajay Devgn will not be remake of Malylam version as they have their own set if story writers and do not want to share any copyright royalties. REad ON

Both Drishyam 1 and 2 were massive hits in Malayalam and also succeeded when remade in other languages like Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. For Drishyam 3, Jeethu Joseph initially planned to make it as a multi-language project. His idea was to shoot the film simultaneously in all versions with the same lead actors who starred in earlier remakes. That meant Mohanlal in Malayalam, Venkatesh Daggubati in Telugu, and Ajay Devgn in Hindi. While the Malayalam version is already on floors, the Telugu and Hindi versions are facing delays. In Telugu, Venkatesh is currently busy with a cameo role in a Chiranjeevi film. He will soon start shooting for a movie with Trivikram Srinivas. Because of his busy schedule, he cannot allot dates for Drishyam 3 soon. In Hindi, the makers are facing legal issues. Reports suggest that Bollywood writers had already developed a separate sequel story for Drishyam 3 that was different from Jeethu Joseph’s script. Once Jeethu warned them of possible copyright violations, the project was put on hold. As a result, there is no clarity on when or whether the Hindi version will start.

 With these complications, Jeethu Joseph’s ambitious plan to shoot Drishyam 3 in all languages at the same time seems difficult to execute. Now, the director may proceed with only the Malayalam version starring Mohanlal and release it as a pan-India film with dubbed versions. However, fans are confused about the final outcome because the discussions around the project keep changing. Jeethu Joseph still believes that the story deserves to be told in multiple languages. But for now, only Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 looks certain to go ahead, while others remain uncertain. Without Venkatesh in Telugu and Ajay Devgn in Hindi, it will be difficult for Drishyam 3 to reach the level of box office success that the previous instalments had in those languages.

Director Jeethu in Pinkvilla : The Hindi and Telugu producers are concerned that if the Malayalam version releases first, it could affect their box-office performance, since audiences would already know the story. They've been discussing this with our producer, but nothing has been finalized yet. Releasing all versions together could also affect our business.

For now, we're continuing with our shoot. By the time we finish, if a decision has been made, we'll proceed accordingly. Otherwise, we'll release the Malayalam version first, just like before.

Pranav Mohanlal Ends Dad Monopoly/ Dies Irae Slow- Predictable/ Fa Fa with Rajini

 One of the biggest excitements for audiences about Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 was the rumored cameo of Balakrishna. However, it is now confirmed that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will replace him in the film.

Fans were eagerly waiting to see the powerful combination of Balakrishna and Rajinikanth on screen. Reports suggest that director Nelson and his team were very keen to bring the Akhanda actor on board and held several discussions with him.

Unfortunately, Nelson couldn’t convince Balakrishna to be part of Jailer 2, leading to his exit from the project. The role will now be played by Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, who had earlier worked with Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan. Fans are excited to see them share the screen once again. The film is slated to be released in June 2026.

Before Pranav Mohanlal‘s arrival, his father Mohanlal was claiming the top 3 spots in the list of the biggest Malayalam openers of 2025. With son’s arrival, Mohanlal’s own Hridayapoorvam, with an opening of 3.25 crore, took an exit from the top 3.

Dies Irae Box Office Day 1

On the opening day, Friday, October 31, Dies Irae earned 4.5 crore at the box office in India. It registered an occupancy of 46.2% in the theaters on the opening day. It would be interesting to see if the film manages to mark a few more milestones over the weekend.

Mixed Views:

Some fans even feel Dies Irae has redefined Malayalam horror and raised the standard for storytelling in the genre. But not everyone agrees. While most agree the film isn’t bad, some found it less layered than Bramayugam. They say that apart from Pranav’s acting, the music, and the visuals, there’s little to discuss. The second half drags again until the final fifteen minutes, when the main conflict appears — only to end predictably. As a result, Dies Irae has divided opinions. For some, it’s a bold and fresh take on horror. For others, it’s a missed opportunity that promised more than it delivered.
The film landed right on time for the spooky season, and fans expected a true scare-fest. The trailer and teaser kept the mystery alive, revealing nothing about the story and only teasing its eerie tone. That secrecy built strong word of mouth. Viewers praised Christo Xavier’s haunting sound design for adding depth to the atmosphere and enhancing the tension. Many also called Pranav Mohanlal’s performance the best of his career. Director Rahul Sadasivan has been lauded for pushing Pranav to explore his full range as an actor.

Mohanlal and ivory Tusks ; Political Thriller / Karthi in Chiranjeevi film

The Kerala High Court ruling on Mohanlal and ivory tusks brings out a story that looks like a script of a Shaji Kailas – Renji Panicker political thriller film. Here the heroes are two retired Forest Officers and Mohanlal the Actor and Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Actor house has two sets of ivory tusks and few other ivory items ., Income Tax raids bring it out and Actor has no paper to show how he got it. It goes to Forest Department and by the rule book they book him for illegal possession of ivory tusks. Violations of the act can result in severe penalties, including hefty fines and up to seven years in prison.  Lalettan says that he did poach any tusker and bought it from a guy for Rs 65,000 and that the guy took it off from a tusker that died a natural death. Actor forgot to take a letter from the seller.

As a jail sentence with fine was sure and ivory trade banned, State Forest Department moved an amendment to Forest Act and legalized the possession of dead tusker’s ivory tusks. It gives an ownership certificate to Actor and says Case closed. All this started in 2011 at a Perumbavoor Court. Two retired Forest Officers challenge this ownership certificate. How can you give a certificate to a person who is facing a court case and that too backdate the order ? Should not the order be published in the State Gazette to invite public opinion as mandated by Law ?.

• Court said Can’t accept the state admitting that notifications were not published in the official gazette and justifying adequate publicity was given to the notifications and no prejudice anyone, and non-publication was only a technical irregularity with no legal consequence.

Next step is that Mohanlal should apply for a ownership and State Government should give it only after notifying it through Gazette. This will bring in objections from public. The criminal proceedings against Lal in Magistrate court will need to be closed for Government to issue a certificate.

Interestingly, the court never even commented on the other claims put forward by the petitioners, including the claims of collusion, or the exercise of the power. Judges observed that finding anything on those questions would be prejudicial against the actor during the criminal proceedings, which are yet to be completed against him in the magistrate court.

Rajagopal found guilty by the court for kidnapping and murdering Prince Shanthakumar, who worked under him. After his death, Shanthakumar’s wife Jeevajothi fought hard to bring justice for her husband. Finally, Rajagopal (popularly known as Dosa King) was sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment by the Court. He died in 2019, days after he was arrested. He was aged 73.

Telugu actor Suhaas who made a cameo in OG rcently released had a narrow escape as the cinematographer crew of his first Tamil debut film met with a mishap in seas off Rameswaram. The crew escaped but lost a Rs 60 lakh worth Red One camera.The film has a unique bilingual approach. In the Tamil version, Soori plays the lead and Suhas is the villain. In the Telugu version, Suhas takes the lead, and Soori plays the antagonist. Drishyam 3 IS ON / Thani Oruvan 2 and Indian 3 Hit By Budget

 Drishyam 3 is the most awaited film for Malayalam cinema lovers and other audiences across India. The makers gave an official update of the film on September 17th, much to the excitement of fans. 

On the occasion of actress Meena’s birthday, the team released a poster with the line, “The Past Never Stays Silent.” 

The movie team is going on sets this month. After the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 gets completed, the Telugu version will go on floors, and the makers eye a summer 2026 release, mostly in mid-March.

Drishyam 3 Plot Focus:

Unlike the previous installments that revolved around external investigations and suspense, Drishyam’s third part will dive deeper into the emotional and psychological dynamics within Georgekutty’s family. The story explores how the family, and especially the children, struggle to get over past events and evolve.

Two Tamil Projects are in the cold storage due to budget constraints. Take Thani Oruvan 2 directed by Mohan Raja with bro Ravi Mohan and produced by AGS. Speaking about the situation, Raja shared that producer Archana Kalpathi responded thoughtfully after hearing the script. “She said this isn’t the right time. The film demands a big budget, and the industry needs to grow further to support such a scale,” he explained.

Indian 3’s progress halted because of the budget issues

Kamal, Shankar, and the producers had multiple meetings to discuss and complete the balance shooting and release the next part. But reportedly, producers are not ready to spend a big budget on the remaining portion of the shoot.

Aneesh maintains that he has lost all trust on mankind and his stubborn behaviour has been talking point. Nevin inside the house spoke about his childhood - “My childhood is not something I fondly cherish. As you all know, yes, I do have feminine traits in me. I have faced so much bullying from my friends and family. Now, to all who bullied me, here I am with the same feminine traits you all shamed me for. It is that charm that brought me here. Please don’t judge a person by their mannerisms; value their talent,” Nevin said, his words resonating deeply with both the housemates and viewers.

She was responding to Mohanlal challenge to walk out of the BiggBoss Malayalam show over her comments on the lesbian- Adila and Noora couple and terming them as those who are unwelcome as guests to a house (of singer Akbar)  who was supporting the couple sparked a debate. Many felt that Lakshmi comments were abusive of the lesbian community. Lakshmi made it clear on stage in reply to Lal that she was personally against lesbianism and having them on the show was like normal thing in society. Lal posed the question that if she cannot digest it then she is free to quit and that as wild card she was aware of the lesbian couple being in the show. Yesterday Lakshmi did not respond to the challenge as per the content telecast. Sources say that Lakshmi offered to quit . However Bigg Boss producers feel that like those supporting lesbian couple, a huge majority shares Lakshmi’s views. Hence a status quo. Lakshmi had said that even contestant Akbar family was not liking him getting close to the lesbian couple who are also Muslims.  These talk was on YouTube and she had heard it before coming to the show.  However as per rules she cannot reveal anything that she picked up outside the show and had to remain mum when she was asked whether she heard it herself.  While Host Mohanlal salary has risen from Rs 10 crores to Rs 24 crores , starvation and lack of essential body cleaning matierals inside the Bigg Boss Season 7 Malayalam and outside a huge debts accured due to buying clothes, makeup items and lingeries is the current situation of those who got evicted in last one month. Kalabhavan Sariga one of the evicted contestant revealed this in an open talk. She said the BB production team asked her to be ready with dress for 100 days stay, She took loans from many and bought the dresses, makeup amd lingeries. She was promised Rs 20,000 per day. Considering this and also a potshot at Rs 50 lakh prize money, taking a loan was  seen as a worthy risk. On day one the dress was not given as part of a task and after that rations were frugal as part of the game. She said that for days they ate only rice and dal and sometimes tomatoes. She said that the sample pack of a small soap, toothbrush kept in hotel rooms was what was given to contestants.

Yet another contestant   in Bigg Boss Malayalam is RJ Bincy (Bincymol Biju), who is a popular radio jockey and TV host from Kottayam. She entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 in August 2025, hosted by Mohanlal, but was evicted from the show after a few weeks. She too took loans to buy a wardrobe and met same date as Sariga, Not only that she also faced an allegation of having being too close to Appani Sarath a married actor and co contestant.

The plot is about a 45 year old bachelor who goes to Pune to attend the wedding reception of the man who donated his heart . The wedding foes not take place and the bachelor suffers a fall and injures his back. He cannot travel and has to stay back to get it cured. What follows is the plot. He stays in a house owned by a Retired Army Colonel who is bit eccentric. Basil is teaming up with Lal for first time and Meera had acted with Mohanlal in three films and two of them were hits- both Sathyan Anthikad directed films.

Prasanth Neel – NTR film Dragon has added Aishwarya Lekshmi to the cast. Already from Mollywood, Tovino Thomas who plays the bad guy and Biju Menon are on the cast. Rukmini Vasanth is the heroine. Aishwarya was last seen in Thug Life directed by Mani Ratnam. "Dragon NTR" refers to the tentatively titled, upcoming film starring Indian actor Jr. NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel. The project, officially known as NTR 31, was slated for a June 25, 2026 release but has since been reported to be changing its name due to the existence of a Tamil film with the same title. It is a large-scale action drama and a significant collaboration between the popular actor and acclaimed director, known for the KGF franchise

Apart from Fahadh, the film also features Vadivelu. Released yesterday (July 25), the Kollywood comedy crime thriller opened to mostly decent reviews from critics, with the leading cast getting praised for their strong performances. Many felt that the the film started as road movie shifted gear to a thriller and probably as somebody told the Director to do so as Tamil audience do not go solely by road stories and want action. So Fahadh explained his plan: “No, I think it’ll only happen after people are done with me here, you know?” But the interviewer was confident that people were not going to get bored of their beloved FaFa.
