TVK forgot Vinayakar ! Filmfare snubs Nayanthara - NTR Jr v/s Karthi

Thalapathy Vijay the leader of TVK forgot to wish the masses a Happy Vinayakar Chathurthi is a complaint from the devotees of the God and more so as the party flag has two elephants. Thalapathy did not forget our Muslim Bhais and Christan brothers during Ramzan and Easter. Morning media made it look like TVK was coming out with an earthshaking news at 11 AM. On lines of Kollywood style of making a single / first look poster release a huge event. TVK released a release about being recognized a political party and its first public rally getting police clearance. GOAT overseas figures are mindboggling and we will give a India report after Monday fright is over. However, we can say for sure that Andhra and Telangana States box office show that GOAT is worst ever film at box office since 2017. It at the most collect Rs 5 crores in total. Floods on one hand but even otherwise the reviews were totally negative.

Filmfare once gain shows that it is primarily a Bollywood magazine and that yearly like Maveli Thampuran comes to Kerala for Onam , it comes annually to give South awards. So even if it is an item song and from Bollywood, then South Actress cannot be considered a heroine. It tried to pull a fast one some time back by just printing a cover of a South actor and pinning to a regular Filmfare and then passing out as if the actor was cover for all regions. If you bought one in Chennai and saw A Tamil actor on cover and landed in Bengaluru, you would see a Kannada actor on cover. The guy coming from Mumbai will have the real magazine that goes all over.

I don’t know whether you can it a clash. Meiyazhagan starring Karthi and Aravind Swami is releasing on September 27th. In Tamil Nadu the film has an opening since C Prem Kumar previous film 96 is an iconic film. However the film is coming out in Ap and TS on same date as Satyam Sundaram. So what ? NTR Jr Devara is coming on same date. Is it a clash ? In Tamil Nadu too Devara is releasing and rights have gone for Rs 7 crore. Karthi film is produced by 2D Entertainment

Navarasa : Fast Forward to last episode- Shringara - Gautham Menon- Suriya - Karthik (music) rocks

First go the last episode Shringara and then look for Roudhram directed by Aravind Swami. Only these two out of the 9 stories - 9 emotions that is tackled brilliantly.  Lets start with the best-

I feel that Gautham Vasudev Menon can be in his elements only if he gets the right actors. Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru, is one such .  For one Suriya works magic on screen as the musician  and the lover boy. Add to it the girl Prayaga Martin who  is just the kind of girl that a GVM film needs . The music is mind blowing. The scene where Suriya picks up the guitar to shift from Beethoven Fur Elise to a Tamil melody just leaves you stunned. The collaboration between Karthik ( also singer) and GVM elevates the film to a different level. Madan Karky lyrics is just the in thing. To those who say that the reason for break up should have been told- I think the lyrics of song that Suriya sings about their love and the time frame gives  hints. Visually we are taken back in reverse and stops just before they met for the first time.

The Roudhram episode is good in the only fact that it springs surprise on you in terms of a twist to the narration. The characterization is very weak . With a brother in jail and a mother whom she hates, the daughter becoming an police inspector is not explained anywhere. A shallow treatment.

Except for GVM who knows his terrain , and his characters well fleshed out, all others give a shallow treatment. Whether it be subjects in the backdrop of  Naxalism- Eelam conflict, or Brahman wedding the focus on the theme is lost. The guilt aspect or the fear have good starts but soon goes into a whimper. The Siddharth- Parvathy episode  start with the old man and young girl was good but soon gloss set in to take the punch out. Like GVM is to romance, Priyadarshan is to Comedy. Add to this Yogi Babu. What you get is a comedy skit !!!
