Soundarya Rajinikanth web-series dropped by Amazon / Mohanlal film producer buys Hollywood top agency

Amazon Prime’s web series, Gangs Kuruthi Punal came Soundarya Rajinikanth way as creative producer, an opportunity she must have wanted after the debacle Kochadiyaan . After shooting 100 episodes , the project has been put on the back burner. Launched with great fanfare .halfway through the shoot in Puducherry, things started going haywire, and it overshot the budget. Creative Producer and director Novah started developing difference of opinion and things turned sour with Noah being blamed for not having better control. With Ashok Selvan .Sathyaraj and Nasser in the cast, the web series could have got the eyeballs but the money flow to Production was stopped, Then came the announcement by Amazon Prime that it will be paused as the streaming platform is now in a course correction . It could mean that Soundarya continues with Noah or would be shown the door.

Is Thalapathy Vijay in Oslo with Trisha ?. Trisha posted a photo of her holidaying n Oslo Norway and soon after a photo appeared on Twitter of Vijay and Trisha in a snow capped location and it was shot by a security guard. This has set off speculation that Thalpathy is with Trisha in Oslo on a holiday. This pictures could also be from the Kashmir schedule of Lokesh directed Leo Bloody sweet. Now another post from Trisha shows that she is with her friends. Leo shoot is wrapped up and post production is on but there are reports that after seeing Jailer, Lokesh is going to reshoot some portions in Kashmir.

Ashok Selvan who acted in blockbuster Por Thozil is to mary co- actor Keerthi Pandian in September at a function in Tirunelveli. Both of them are acting in Pa Ranjith film Blue Star which also has Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Prithvi Pandiarajan in the cast. Keerthi is daughter of noted actor- producer Arun Pandian. Keerthi’s cousin is Ramya Pandian of Bigg Boss fame.

Will there be a sequel to Jailer ?. There is some leads that says that Nelson has left some ends open for a sequel to come. Muthuvel Pandian is known as Tiger for his tough Jailer job stint in Tihar Jail. In the climax, Tiger confronts Verma ( Vinakyakan) and kills him in the same way as the latter did his enimies and before that Veram awarns Pandian that by killing him nothing would end as there is a big International gang behind him and they would come after him to seek revenge. Even when Pandian is in search of Verama, a mysterious caller calls him and speaks in Hindi and tells him to back off. The sequel would likely start with the reaction of Ramya Krishnan mother of Arjun the corrupt cop of Jailer who pulls a gun on his father to be shot by the snipers of Shivaraj Kumar. What would be her reaction if she knew about her son’s death ? What would be the reaction of Arjun’s wife and son ?. Would Pandian not reveal about the death of his son and maintain that the son is missing and untraceable ? Those who saw Jailer feel that Rajini- Shivaraj Kumar and Mohanlal should come in one frame and Jackie Shroff and Tammannah deserve a bigger role and this could be in a sequel. Les wait and hope for the best.

Buzz is that K Balchander's production house had objected to use of the title as it belongs to them but technically it was now free to be used by anyone. It is a lesson to every producer of any iconic movie to keep the title alive by registering or patenting it. Otherwise you will have to be a spectator to see B grade stuff come out in that name. Director Pa Ranjith shifts back to romance genre - Kalidas Jayram and Ashok Selvan in the lead

After Sarpatta Parambarai, Director Pa Ranjith next deals with romance. The film titled Natchathiram Nagarkirathu. will have Kalidas Jayram and  Ashok Selvan in the lead. This is the second  time after his debut film Attakathi that that Ranjith is handing romance as all other three films were about underworld Dons. 

Pa Ranjith believes that his films reflects his ideology .He works on screen and off screen for the Dalits welfare and to break the stereotypical image of them being a rebellious group. Right from Madras to Rajinikanth starrer Kabali and Kala, the Dalit voice has been put across subtly, Even the latest release Sarpatta too gives this message across, This time the 1975 Emergency Days linger in the backdrop. He was quoted as saying that he chose boxing as the subject since Dalits consider Late Muhammad Ali as "a great inspiration for many from the working class because they always felt connected with his macho looks, warrior spirit and also because of his skin colour,”
