PAWAN KALYAN KICKS OUT SRK FROM TOP 10 INDIAN FILMS

Pawan Kalyan with OG dethroneed Shah Rukh Khan the only Bollywood Star who had a place in the top 10 biggest openers of Indian Cinema. With no immediate films from SRK, it looks like SRK will have to stay out of the list this year. In fact only Bollywood film company that has a place in top 10 is the one that produced AdiPurush and starring Prabhas. In fact Prabhas has five films in the list.

All this true but one thing is that OG does not click in Hindi and Pawan's Pan India dream still remains elusive. As per Sacnilk, it earned Rs. 50 lakhs on Day 1, Rs. 40 lakhs on Day 2, and Rs. 50 lakhs on Day 3. That makes about Rs. 1.4 crores over three days, and projections suggest only around Rs. 2 crores by the end of the extended weekend.

Jawan, with an opening day collection of 75 crore, held the tenth and the only spot by a Bollywood actor in the list!

Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG, with its 80+ crore opening day collection, pushed Jawan out of the top 10 list. Now, the entire list is dominated by South Indian actors, with Prabhas ruling the maximum number of spots with his 5 films!

The top 10 Indian openers list now contains only 1 Bollywood film – Adipurush, since it was a Bollywood production. However, it does not have any Bollywood actor holding the fort anymore! The disappointing part is the list might remain like this for the rest of the year as far as the entry of a Bollywood film is considered!

Currently, with 3 months remaining for 2025 to end, there are only two major releases – Thamma and Dhurandhar that are yet to arrive at the box office, but none of them might manage to enter the list of the top 10 Indian openers!

Is Pawan Kalyan coming for Thalapathy B'Day ? Indian 2 more of Sidhharth less Kamal

Is Pawan Kalyan – Seeman – Thol Thirumavalan the special guests at the birthday function of Thalapathy Vijay ? On June 22nd there is massive function arranged to celebrate the event and Madurai is likely to be the venue. It will be the official launch of TVK in presence of fans. Vijay had made a point to praise NTK of Seeman and VCK for getting the Regional party status from Election Commission in his congratulatory message. The future course of TVK is on the lines of these State parties, says a source. Idea is to build a common platform among these parties for certain issues that affect the State. On these lines, TVK is hoping to get on board Pawan Kalyan whose Jana Ssena was instrumental in TDP win. Kerala fans are said to be trying to get Suresh Gopi for Madurai bash. Though Gopi won on a BJP ticket, the popular belief is that the actor was able to cut across political barriers and win in Thrissur. Similarly, Thol Thirumavalan is in alliance with DMK but TVK feels that the leader has a vision of his own and is not just a lackey of DMK. Pawan Kalyan is currently a part of BJP coalition. Like TVK, Pawan floated his party Jana Sena just before the 2014 State polls. Though he got a 5 % vote share, he lost from both seats. Things have changed and today he is the man behind the success of TDP. Alliance with Jana sena and in future his role in shaping Andhra Politics will be crucial. Though unconfirmed, there is a talk that Vijaykanth’s wife Premalatha might be on the guest list. Though backed by AIADMK, Captain political party DMDK in future could be a political ally for TVK. The slender margin that Vijaykanth son lost in Virudhunagar shows that the party still has a reach.

Our Indian 2 trackers say that the sequel is more dominated by Siddharth and other actors. Kamal actually comes towards end of second part. The move is seen as very risky but then Vikram too had Fahadh and Vijay Sethupathi in more in the first half argues some but is Siddharth on same caliber as Fahadh and Sethupaty ?. Let us wait.

Four South filmy poll encounters raise friendship - family ties

Four filmy encounters in Lok Sabha polls down South and the lessons that we share. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan it has Faahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban in it. Now lets look at the producer’s background – Mammooty is the Chairman of CPM’s Kairali !!! The third is in Tamil Nadu Virudhunagar. We the old timers are witness to the days and nights that Vijayakanth and Sarathkumar spend to rebuild Nadigar Sangam and their friendship. Ideally, the star couple should have campaigned for VijayaPrabhakaran , going by the past days . The poll helped us give a picture of the financial status of Star Couple and saw videos of hubby doing shayanapradiskhnam (rolling on temple ground) for wife’s victory. Very heartwarming !!! In a fourth instance of family and friendship soaring above politics was Allu Arjun visiting friend who is YSRCP candidate and not making a similar gesture to his Uncle – Actor Pawan Kalyan who is opposing YSRCP in the poll. After the Uncle’s victory, nephew send a congratulatory message and got badly trolled. Question raised was is friendship more important than family by Pawan fans ?.

Mohanal on Bigg Boss - Sanjay Dutt in SRK film, Sivakarthikeyan in Kashmir, Pawan Kalyan record break

During an FB Live talk, Mohanlal stated that he has never taken sides with any Bigg Boss contestant in any season and that the channel has never asked him to do so. He expressed his hope that this would not change, adding that if it did, he would leave the show. The fifth season of the Malayalam show Bigg Boss is set to premiere tonight at 7 PM on Asianet. Mohanlal also shared that he liked the show's concept as it was a battle of originality, which resonated with his approach to acting. He further noted that the show was a game of human emotions and reactions, making it difficult to script.Meanwhile, Robin, who was evicted from the previous season of Bigg Boss for violent behavior, has been making headlines on social media. Firoz, a former contestant who was also evicted for bad behavior, suggested that Robin's extended stay in the news was due to his PR efforts. However, Firoz also mentioned that he would have made a great pair with Robin had they been co-contestants. Recently, Robin shared a video of his return from a holiday in Sri Lanka, which garnered attention on social media.

The upcoming film produced by RajKamal Films, featuring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Raju Periasamy, is scheduled to have a significant portion of its filming take place in Kashmir. This marks the second Tamil movie in recent times to have a shooting schedule in Kashmir, following Vijay-Lokesh Leo's project. Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming for Maveeran in Puducherry.

Today, Sanjay Dutt joined Shah Rukh Khan on the set of Jawan where they will be shooting an action scene. Just yesterday, Sanjay returned to Mumbai from Kashmir where he was shooting for the movie "Leo" , starring Vijay and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The exact date for releasing "Jawan" will be decided by Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee after the current shoot is completed, which is expected to be by April 10. "Jawan" is the debut Bollywood film for Atlee and Nayanthara, who is the female lead.

n a span of 24 days, Pawan Kalyan completed filming his scenes for the Telugu adaptation of the Tamil movie Vinodaya Sitham. The film is being directed by Samudrakanni, who originally played the role that Pawan is portraying.

Bheemla Nayak : Fair Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum

Bheemala Nayak is not what I feared would have happened to Telugu remake of an iconic Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshy. To give due credit, Pawan Kalyan has towards the climax given more than expected footage to Rana's Liquor Daniel  (who plays Prithviraj's role) sort of made a balance equal. Though the original did  end with nobody declared a winner,  Pawan being POWER STAR, it has to be an exception.

Going by earlier remakes, the film has not been butchered badly as it was in Pink remake. If Pink was about whether consent is needed from a woman for sex was the issue, the Telugu remake was all about Pawan's love and caring to women folk . An exercise in brand building of Pawan the politician.

Here it does take place and an overdo of  it but the story line changes . Here  cop Ayyappan ( Pawan) gets suspended for arresting Koshy (Rana) who is not an ex-serviceman but a son of a liquor Mafia Don.  In final battle, Pawan losing the first round ( he was back stabbed by Liquor Danniel's goons) is itself a sacrilege to fans. If Ayyapan's trump card was his locking grip across the waist of opponent, here Bheema pulls out the hand of his rival from the shoulder as if it was a tuff of hair. What a deadly change in character !!!  

Nithya Menon ( wife of Bheema) is probably most pretty tribal woman seen on screen in recent times. Samyuktha Menon as Daniel wife springs to life in the climax. Samudrakanni role was a casualty as how can we forget  director Ranjith as estate landlord. As it is season of Lal baiting, I was wondering if the original film was in Telugu and remade in Malayalam  with Mohanlal in  Ayyappan role .
