GOAT  Tops All languages Overseas collections but with Telugu print added and after that Maharaja (Tamil and Telugu) - 82.5cr gross ,Vettaiyaan (Tamil and Telugu) -82 cr gross,Amaran (Tamil and Telugu) - 80 cr gross. China collections are added for Maharajah to reach this tally.

This shows that Tamil films need to attract the Telugu audience and Telugu films to cater to Hindi audience to get box office results. Hindi films on the other hand that have only Bollywood actors are falling below as they do not connect with Tamil and Telugu audience abroad.

 Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, after a phenomenal theatrical run at the box office, has nailed its debut week on Netflix as well. The film arrived on December 5 on Netflix, and in the first week of data, it is trending with superb views, making it a hit already!

As per the Netflix data from December 2 – December 8, Sivakathikeyan’s war biopic has registered a total of 4.1 million views against 11.6 million viewing hours, taking the 3rd spot in the Netflix’s global trending chart for top 10 Non-English film this week.

Tirupur Subramaniam head of theatre association  has informed Active Producers association that it cannot police the YouTubers who take public reaction from viewers on the First Day First Show. He has said that the interviews are conducted outside the theatre complex and not inside the auditorium. He said that theatres do not have the manpower to enforce the diktat. The main grouse in social media is that reigning in public views is not acceptable. Asking reviewers to restrict themselves to the film and not indulge in personal attacks was so far the appeal from Producers and not bring public into the ambit.

Probably no film's box office victory has had so many layers to it. For one, the film coming from RKFI the Kamal Haasan banner had many getting their knives out as it was more against the politician Kamal. Tthey dug deep and came out with an old video in which Sai Pallavi is seen saying that just like we see Naxalites as anti nationals, there is an another view. For the Pakistanis our Army will look like terrorists like we see them. This was enough reason to launch a hashtag to ban Sai Pallavi. How can she play wife to Indian Army Major and so we must see the film in which the heroine is Pro PAK. They might have tries hard to get some dope on Kamal bt nothing came through. Next was that shit on Sivakarthikeyan. How can this comic hero fit the role of an action hero and that too of a Indian soldier > Total miscast!.

After the release came the charge that Kamal as Producer and Udhaynidhi as Distributor had conspired to hide the Brahmin background of the hero character as it goes against Dravidianism. Not only that they highlighted the Christian background off the wife character. The film releases and gets thumbs up from all. Total silence. Now comes Kanguva release. Theatre owners refuse to take out Amaran as it is giving them big bucks and that too in third week. Here again the haters jump up. Red Giant is forcing theatres to run Amaran as it does not want Kanguva to run. Why ? Suriya is anti DMK !. Why did the theatres not come with such requests when Lubber Pandhu was running in theatres ?

Now in third week we publish the results.. 22% of theatres showing Kanguva has stopped the film even before one week and put back Kanguva. The Amaran figures show the real victory. Sai Pallavi who faced boycott call is Queen of box office. Sivakarthikeyan joins Kamal- Rajini- Vijay in 250 cr club. The public celeberation of Amaran is due on December middle after Kamal come back.Here’s the area wise Amaran collections after 3 weeks.

Kamal back on December 9 for Amaran success meet ; TN CM is Chief Guest - Rajini Coolie on May 1 - T69 update

 Kamal Haasan will be back on December 9 from USA to attend the success meet of his production Amaran. The public function will see Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin will be Chief Guest. As December 12 is Rajinikanth birthday, the Superstar goes out of town and so his availability for the function is not known. But as of now December 12 is the Amarn event .Though it was widely publicised that NetFlix pushed the premiere by a week and release it on December 5th due to good theatre collections, the real reason was that Kamal who is away in USA wanted to hold the function just few days after OTT release and thereby give out a final tally at theatre box office at the event. He could arrive only by first weekend of December and so he and NetFlix agreed on this release date. The box office collections after the second weekend has dropped drastically in all releasing areas and with Kanguva coming on November 14th, the film's run will be almost over. On Tuesday, it was Rs 3.6 cr in Tamil and almost a pittance in other States.

Coolie directed by Lokesh with Rajinikanth is all set for May 1 the workers day and also it will get an extended weekend holiday. Lokesh after the film has to move to Kaithi 2 with Karthi. The film has Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sruthi Haasan, Sathyaraj, Shoubin, Music by Anirudh. Aamir Khan is said to have played a cameo.

Rajinikanth and Dhanush in Jailer (2023) and Captain Miller (2024) , Shiva Rajkumar revealed that he has been approached for a role in Thalapathy 68. Talking to Radio Mirchi , ge said - “They have approached me for a beautiful character in Vijay’s film. It sounds interesting, but I don’t know how it will shape up because of my dates. They are saying it’s Vijay’s last film, but I personally feel it should not be so. As a friend and well-wisher, I think Vijay is a fantastic actor and a good human being. The ambition that he has got is fantastic. I respect him for that. So I hope I freeze the project.”

Kanguva partially clears Reliance debt - Keerthy Suresh to be hubby Deets

Reliance Entertainment was paid Rs 18 crore by Mango Mass Media that handles the Telugu business of Studio Green's ventures. Following this the production company was allowed to complete the Thangalaan OTT deal . Now Studio Green can close the deal and collect the amount from OTT platform. The productio ncompany has agreed to settle Rs 37 crores by tomorrow ( Nov 8) and thereby complete the debt of Rs 55 crores. It looks like Kanguva release hurdles has been cleared.

However the hold of Amaran  and Lucky Bhaskar in Tamil Nadu theatres is creating a problem. These two films are not showing any drop significantly for theatres to give the massive showtimes that Kanguva is asking. Lucky Bhaskar of Dulquer has multiplied the screens after the weekend.
  4 AM shows in all three States except Tamil Nadu has been fixed on November 14th.

We are not sure about Andhra and TS States, but from what we hear Amaran and Lucky Bhaskar is doing pretty well in the theatres. Even KA is doing strongly at the box office. At the Kanguva press meet in Bangalore, Suriya was asked why he is not pulling out his film froom competing with Shivaraj Kumar film releasing on November 14th ?. Suriya delayed the release earlier as he said that he did not want to clash with Superstar Rajinikanth. So is Shivaraj Kumar not a threat ? He could not say that his was a Tamil film and Kannada Superstar film will not affect him as it would amount to saying that Kannadigas were not his target audience. He instead said that both films can succeed as it is now in North with Diwali release. Next question : Then why did you not apply this theory to Vettaiyan ? A shee[ish smile was the answer.

Reliance case on Suriya's Kanguva - Sai Pallavi in Dulquer's next

 Kanguva release on November 14 hinges on the court hearing to take place on November 7^th in Madras High Court. Reliance Entertainment has asked for repayment of Rs 55 crores that Kanguva Producer Studio Green owes. Till then it has asked for stay on the film release and the banner’s earlier film Thangalaan OTT release. Already, the official assignee of financier Arjunlal had procured a stay order against Studio Green to recover Rs 10 crore plus interest. Arjunlal declared insolvent and to recover the money that he has to get, Studio Green has to pay Rs 10 crores to Arjunlal over a production deal for Thangalan that went sour. Studio Green deposited Rs 2 crore as ordered by court and agreed not to take any action till next hearing.

Yesterday, Reliance Entertainment moved the court and this time Studio Green has to pay RS 55 crores. Thangalaan was not a hit and made a dent. As per trade sources Studio Green has invested close to Rs 300 crores. This new case from Reliance is hurdle to the producer who had skipped an October Date and announced November 14 as release date.

Any further postponement cannot be afforded by the Producer and hence a settlement is inevitable. Audio launch of the film was recently held in Chennai

As Lucky  Bhaskar after the first day collection is considered as a safe film in box office, now all eyes are on Akasamlo Oka Tara, Dulquer’s next and the news that Sai Pallavi has joined the cast has ,made it very interesting. More than Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi acting has earned praise from viewers who saw Amaran. This casting coup by Director Pavan Sadineni. The film's production house Swapna Cinema announced the film on July 28 . Dulquer  previous Telugu hits like 'Mahanati' and 'Sita Ramam' and now Lucky Bhaskar, he is here to stay in Tollywood.
