Ajith to Join Kamal - Lokesh LCU ? Dad Vijay Record Sale and Son title Out/ Lal- Major Ravi Clash

 

Latest buzz of Loki- Ajith combo is that there is a possibility of Kamal Haasan joining the group and be part of the LCU . A track from Vikram to start with Ajith new film. We know that Rajiinikanth backed out of film with Kamal to be directed by Lokesh and instead plumped for film with C Sundar  and later a film with Nelson. However a almost confirmed line of Ajith future setup is as follows : Lokesh has narrated 2 scripts to Thala. One was the negative role film that was narrated to Superstar. Another is a subtle yet violent action film written purely for Thala. Thala loved the second script and asked Lokesh to work on that. That would be the immediate project for both Thala and Lokesh following AK64 (for Thala) and DC (for Lokesh)

Kaidhi 2 is reportedly delayed and Karthi is concentrating in HIT 4, Sardar 2, Marshall part 1 and part 2 and another project with Sundar C. So Kaidhi 2 is delayed again. It won't happen in the near future. The pre production itself would take time.

Thala after Lokesh project will do another film with Adhik Ravichandran (AK66) and will do a film with Marco director Haseef Adini (AK67) and a film with FIR and Mr. X director Manu Anand (AK68).

Jana Nayagan’s Business Once Agan Proves The Stardom Of Vijay

Prime Video has purchased the film’s digital rights for 110 Cr, while Phars Films has acquired the overseas rights for 75 Cr. Tamil Nadu rights are bought by Romeo Pictures for 100 Cr, and Kerala rights are also bought by the same team for 15 Cr. With audio rights, the pre-business of the film already crosses 300 Cr, and if we add the Karnataka rights, satellite rights, and North India and Telugu states theatrical business, Jana Nayagan will easily do around 400 Cr overall business.

Jason Sanjay, son of Thalapathy Vijay, makes his directorial debut under Lyca Productions. Today, the makers revealed the film’s title with Sundeep Kishan leading the cast.

The movie is titled Sigma, and the first-look poster shows Sundeep in full action mode, seated on a pile of cash, clearly hinting at an action-driven storyline. Thaman is composing the music, and the shoot is underway. The film will release in both Tamil and Telugu, with the rest of the cast expected to be announced soon.

Director Major Ravi’s new announcement – Pahalgam: Op. Sindoor. He hasn’t named Mohanlal in the cast, but that didn’t stop social media from blowing up. The moment the project was revealed, fans began urging Mohanlal to stay away from it.

Their argument is simple: Major Ravi’s recent work hasn’t landed well, and they don’t want Lalettan slipping into another poorly received collaboration. Some even pointed out the director’s off-screen controversies as another reason to be cautious.

Why Balakrishna said No to Rajinikanth Jailer 2 ? / Rajamouli- Prithviraj poster Trolled

 Sources claim Balakrishna  daughter Tejaswini advised him against cameo roles for now. Tejaswini has played a vital role in shaping his recent success streak from Akhanda to Daaku Maharaaj. With a strong mass image currently, his close circle felt there was no need for a short appearance in another star’s film. In the first Jailer, cameos mainly boosted Rajinikanth’s character. Balakrishna fans may not accept him appearing only in a supportive capacity. Earlier, short roles like the one in Oo Kodathara Ulikki Padathara did not bring the expected response, which is why he moved away from cameos.

Rajinikanth and Balakrishna share mutual respect. Rajinikanth even attended N T Rama Rao’s centenary celebrations out of admiration. But the role planned for Balakrishna in Jailer 2 reportedly had more highlight moments for Rajinikanth. The character was designed to elevate Rajinikanth rather than glorify Balakrishna, and he felt this role may not suit him at this stage of his career.

For the first time, the work of SS Rajamouli received unanimous trolling.

Social media platforms are filled with trolls and the poster received mixed responses. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s poster was compared to that of Suriya from 24 and Vivek Oberoi from Krrish 3 among the Indian films. Prithviraj Sukumaran is announced as the film’s lead antagonist and the poster said that he is paralysed in his arms and legs. The netizens also compared his look with Patrick Stewart in X-Men and Harrison Wells in Flash. The poster also looked simple and it did not have enough detailing like the past posters of Rajamouli’s films. Even the first look posters of Prabhas and Rana Daggubati from the franchise of Baahubali are being circulated today lauding the previous works of Rajamouli.

For the first time, Rajamouli’s work got trolled unanimously. SS Rajamouli is the country’s best director and his work received unanimous praise for all his films. He is known for his detailing in every craft. He is completely focused on GlobeTrotter, a stylish forest adventure featuring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the lead roles. When Kamal Haasan backed Rajinikanth to fight Red Card / Mani Ratnam with VJS

As Kollywood celeberates union of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, we delve back when Kamal backed his market rival. Scenario was 1993. 

Uzhaipali was a crucial time for Rajinikanth as he was facing a ban from Tamil Distributors. They asked him to cut the fees as projects major chunk of funds was going to actors. At that time yet another Star who commanded same or more than Rajinikanth was Kamal Haasan. All eyes were on Kamal as he was a market rival and if he went with Distributors, things coulf have gone  bad for Rajinkanth, But it did not happen, A lok at the events that unfolded.

According to reports, distributors urged the film producers to reduce the salary of Uzhaippali actors. This issue was discussed in a meeting and actors including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were also invited. During the meeting, Rajinikanth put his foot down and said that he wouldn’t take the pay cut.

Rajinikanth asked the distributors to consider other options and left the meeting. Infuriated, distributors decided to issue a red card to Rajinikanth.AVM’s Yejaman was ready for release hence AVM Saravanan requested the distributors that we have announced the release date hence this RED CARD system shall not impart for their film. They also agreed the same.

Despite the obstacle, Vijaya Productions Private Limited, the producer of Uzhaippali, was determined to make this film. Rajinikanth also was filled with the same determination and devised some solutions.

Rajinikanth met Kamal Haasan and talked about the problem he was facing. He was assured of help by the Vikram star. On February 5, a grand puja was also held for Uzhaippaali at Vijaya Vauhini studio. Veteran producer B. Nagi Reddy also extended his support to Rajinikanth and gave him 101 gold coins.

Bommai magazine also presented an interesting article on Uzhaippali. Despite the distributors backing out, Uzhaippaali received an abundant promotion. Uzhaippaali’s director P. Vasu was boosted with confidence after such tremendous support from renowned celebrities and the media. He completed Uzhaippaali’s shooting in 58 days.

• Kamal Haasan's Role: Rajinikanth met with Kamal Haasan to discuss the situation, and Haasan reportedly assured him of help. It was after this meeting that the production of Uzhaippali was officially launched, in defiance of the ban. Both actors had reportedly agreed not to budge on their salaries.
• Resolution and Outcome: With the support of the producers and other celebrities, Rajinikanth decided to distribute Uzhaippali himself through his own company, Ramana Film Distributors, bypassing the traditional distributors. All the co-stars arranged for a function to support Rajini with regard to distributors’ statement against Rajini and his film. This issue was brought to the attention of Chief Minister Jayalalitha and it was resolved amicably few days before the release of Uzhaipazhi.

Pranav Mohanlal Ends Dad Monopoly/ Dies Irae Slow- Predictable/ Fa Fa with Rajini

 One of the biggest excitements for audiences about Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 was the rumored cameo of Balakrishna. However, it is now confirmed that Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil will replace him in the film.

Fans were eagerly waiting to see the powerful combination of Balakrishna and Rajinikanth on screen. Reports suggest that director Nelson and his team were very keen to bring the Akhanda actor on board and held several discussions with him.

Unfortunately, Nelson couldn’t convince Balakrishna to be part of Jailer 2, leading to his exit from the project. The role will now be played by Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, who had earlier worked with Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan. Fans are excited to see them share the screen once again. The film is slated to be released in June 2026.

On the opening day, Friday, October 31, Dies Irae earned 4.5 crore at the box office in India. It registered an occupancy of 46.2% in the theaters on the opening day. It would be interesting to see if the film manages to mark a few more milestones over the weekend.

The trailer and teaser kept the mystery alive, revealing nothing about the story and only teasing its eerie tone. That secrecy built strong word of mouth. Viewers praised Christo Xavier’s haunting sound design for adding depth to the atmosphere and enhancing the tension. Many also called Pranav Mohanlal’s performance the best of his career.     Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shoot of Jailer 2 in Goa. Jailer was a mammoth blockbuster at the ticket windows collecting over Rs. 600 crores. At a time when Rajini was going through a slump, Nelson brought the star back into the numbers game.

    The latest buzz suggests that Santhanam is set to make re-entry as a comedian with Jailer 2.     Baahubali: The Epic is releasing with premieres today in U.S. and tomorrow paid premieres in India. The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Needless to say, the entire team must be thrilled-except for one person, Tamannaah Bhatia who played a key role in the first part. According to reports and official team statements, Tamannaah’s portions have been removed from this version to keep the film tighter and more focused, including her songs. When Baahubali: The Beginning was first released, many viewers criticized Tamannaah’s character and songs, feeling they didn’t quite blend with the epic tone of the film. In fact, many felt she was miscast in Baahubali. Those sequences are now said to have been cut from Baahubali: The Epic.  Kamal Haasan birthday on November 7^th will see two projects produced by his home banner RKFI being launched. One is a Sundar C film with Rajinikanth as hero. Other is a Rajini- Kamal project and the Director has not been okayed at the moment.  Lokesh could be the choice as on six years since the release of Kaithi,  the team didn’t share any update or teaser about the sequel, even a simple line like “Dilli is coming back” which could have excited fans and created a viral moment online. Lokesh having given two big hits with Rajini ( coolie) and Kamal ( Vikram) is the logical choice. However Rajinikanth is advised to not work anymore on A certification films with excessive violence after Coolie experience with family crowds. RKFI may wait for Jailer 2 result.

Only Rajinikanth Coolie and Rishab Shetty Kantara Chapter 1 from South are in the top 4 of the Rs 300 crore club of Indian cinema. Two other films are from Bollywood. The box office details of top 4 grossers 2025, 2025 witnessed a lot of competition between two different genres and many solo arrivals. Some of them failed, and others won the hearts of the audience. Moreover, the 300-crore club is taking over, and it is a figure that every filmmaker is trying to hit without missing. Unfortunately, a few titles managed to enter this year, proving for another time, that random stories and themes are not going to work anymore. Let’s have a look at them.

1. Chhaava With the failure of Bad Newz, everyone believed that Vicky Kaushal’s time was over. But one Friday was enough to change everything. Kantara: Chapter 1 has already silenced everyone with an opening day number of Rs. 70 crores, despite arriving on Thursday. The highest gross collections came on Sunday with Rs. 72 crores alongside Rs. 51 crores on Friday and Rs. 64 crores on Saturday. The final number remains at Rs. 332 crores. People have not stopped booking tickets, and the lifetime collection could be Rs. 500 crores in India alone. New records have been created. But the question is, who will break them now? There is no answer for now. As mentioned earlier, the situation is different today. The audience is craving for good content, which is one of the major reasons why big films like War 2 and Housefull 5 failed to connect.

Nagarjuna 100 title / Kantara Chapter 1 behind Coolie / LOKAH OTT DATE

Rajinikanth’s Coolie is the biggest opener at the Indian box office with 150 Cr+ gross worldwide, and OG comes closer with 140 Cr+ gross, and Kantara Chapter 1 did not even come closer, as it collected just 85 Cr gross on the opening day. Even for the 1st weekend (4 days), Coolie is the biggest film this year with more than 380 Cr gross collections, and Kantara Chapter 1 also had a 4-day weekend, but the movie falls short of Coolie, as it collected around 320 Cr gross for the 1st weekend. But the Rishab Shetty directorial can cover the difference in the coming days, as after the first weekend, Coolie did not hold strong at the box office and managed to get average collections only.This is the reason Rajinikant’s film failed to set the No. 1 position in its full run for 2025. Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, with 800 Cr gross collection, is the number one grosser for the Indian film industry in 2025, and we need to wait and see whether Kantara Chapter 1 can beat this.

So, it is confirmed that the OTT streaming partner of blockbuster film, Lokah is Jio Hotstar, and the film will be available for streaming from 20th October in all languages. Rajinikanth Jailer 2 Release Date / Thalapathy croon for Jana Nayagan,

 Actor Rajinikanth, who was filming the second schedule of Nelson Dilipkumar's highly anticipated Jailer 2 in Palakkad and Coimbatore for the last one week, returned to Chennai on Wednesday. Greeting reporters and addressing the film's latest developments, Rajinikanth said noted that the action entertainer's shooting is progressing swiftly.

During the same time, when a reporter probed about the film's release date, he said that it would hit screens on June 12 next year. He also congratulated Mohanlal for winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 71st National Film Awards and expressed his happiness on the actor winning the prestigious honour.

A sequel to the 2023 film Jailer, Jailer 2 sees the return of Nelson as the director. Rajinikanth will be seen reprising his role of ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, alongside Ramya Krishnan, who portrayed the role of his wife in the first film. Shivarajkumar, who made a cameo appearance in the first film, confirmed being a part of the sequel as well. It is yet to be confirmed whether Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff, who also had powerful cameos in the film, will be back for the second instalment.

Interestingly, the stellar ensemble is expected to get more star-studded in the sequel, with names like Nandamuri Balakrishna, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty speculated to be part of the cast. Additionally, Malayalam actor Anna Raajan, best known for her breakthrough role in Lijo Jose Pellissery's Angamaly Diaries (2017), announced that she is a part of the upcoming Rajinikanth vehicle.

Backed by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R Nirmal. Plot details, along with the actors part of the extended cast are yet to be announced by the makers.

a report from Valai Pechu YouTube channel claims that the film’s first single could release around Diwali 2025. Adding to the buzz, the track is said to be sung by Vijay himself, making it a major highlight for his fans. The grand audio launch of the film is reportedly planned for December 27, 2025, in Malaysia. Vijay’s upcoming political action drama Jana Nayagan is one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of recent times. Directed by H Vinoth, the film is slated to arrive in theatres on January 9, 2026, and is set to be Vijay’s swansong 

 he action sequences in the film are already generating hype. Previously we reported that, as per speculations, the climax will showcase Vijay’s character battling humanoids, touching upon the theme of “Humans vs AI”. As Jana Nayagan prepares for its Pongal 2026 release, it is set for a clash at the box office with Sivakarthikeyan’s period drama Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, which hits screens on January 14, 2026.

Post Empuran Mohanal Award a Shocker to Kerala BJP

 I had expected Dharmendra to get the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Reason being son Sunny Deol ex BJP MP from Gurudaspur. They threw a google that bowled me out. BJP in Kerala might claim credit for Giving Mohanlal the Dadasaheb Phalke Award but rank and file and those not committed to any politics, it has come as a shocker. Mohanlal starrer Empuran also produced by him was attacked severely by BJP and seen as a anti Hindutva film. In fact , Lal apologized for hurting the sentiments. Even his BJP friends like Major Ravi took potshots against him. The birthday of PM Modi saw Lal among the few from Kerala filmdom sending greetings. The award had seen people like Mithun Chakraborty who joined BJP and next getting this honour. Actors like Asha Parekh, Waheeda Rahman, Shashi Kapoor and Manoj Kumar who are single dimensional actors getting this honour was seen amusing to film buffs.

Shift to giving this honour  reserved for people who are retired- semi retired and definitely not a contender at box office. Started with Rajinikanth who has openly stated that he was never aiming for artistic excellence in short awards but box office appeal getting the Dadasaheb Phalke was seen purely as a gift from political bosses. BJP that controls the Information Ministry has for second time in its history repeated it by giving  Mohanlal the Dadasaheb Phalke Award  , whose box office rating is currently  is the Rs 200 crore club. Here however we are not talking behind the back like in case of Rajinikanth about his BJP links .  He has on many time got the national award and many times he missed it by a whisker. He had invested in films like Vanaprasatham.

Adoor Gopalkrishnan the first from Kerala to enter the hall of fame and now Mohanlal. We hear voices like Why Madhu was over looked ? Is Madhu as multi dimensional as Lal ? Anyway as Lal says about Empuran attack by BJP , lets talk about present amd not about past or future. Quite right to put Emiran in the back burner. However Mammooty with only a Padma Shri and a string of national award cannot be in BJP wishlist as he is a a CPM man.
