MADHARAASI : SK- RUKMINI CHEMISTRY IS USP / MAKERS ASK AJITH FILM PRICE

 Producer of Madharaasi is asking the price of an Ajith film as they have put the collection figures to be on Amaran level or above. So how is the film ?. Telugu dubbing is on and what we hear is that the film’s strongest USP  is the cute chemistry between Sivakarthikeyan who aces the love genre, and Rukmini Vasanth who does it like nobody else right now. A kind of chemistry that SK and Sai Pallavi had in Amaran.

Sure the action sequences and seeing SK in a “mass orientated role” is exciting and all, but this chemistry that has been lost in most of the major films released , that our sources  found in this ARM directorial. The story of the film is about a rugged manpower agent who sizes up against a North Indian mafia in Tamil Nadu.

It’s a properly packed commercial film with comedy, sentiment, and action- backed up by a unique casting. The technical team is also impressive, with Anirudh leading. The film likely starts off with Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmini’s marriage or engagement, which suddenly stops for some reason .Then they would break up and SK would go through heartbreak and will grow his massive beard. Triggered by this incident, the plot of him going after the North Indian mafia in TN will start, as he tries to clear himself of charges that were levelled against him and believed by  Rukmini.

Sources say that this pair is genuinely great and gives a warm feeling judging by the scenes . They suit each other really well, and suit each other’s established mannerisms.Truly looking to see what ARM did with the two ( like he did with Suriya and Asin in Ghajini), and  Anirudh delivered a nice love track for them.

SK movies generally goes around 35 to 45 cr which is also his remuneration.

Amaran collected 158 cr gross which is around 82 cr share .

Now makers are asking 72 cr from distributors which is almost twice the previous.

Value.

According to it should be 55 cr and may be 60 cr Max

If it is 72 cr share then movie needs to gross 140 cr or over which only Ajith, Rajini, Vijay movies do with a hit talk . Kamal and SK had one movie each and Baahubali being excepriom.

I think 55 cr to 60 cr will have 105 cr to 115 cr target to break even which will be ideal.

KARNATAKA

SK movies goes for 4–5 cr Max but Amaran did 25 cr gross. Makers are asking 10 cr which seems too much

I think 7 to 8 cr would be apt need 15-17 cr for breakeven.

KERALA

SK movies goes for 2–4 cr and Amaran collected 20 cr . So makers are asking 7 cr which needs 16 cr to break even.

Telugu states

Generally 7-10 cr but Amaran did 50 cr gross so makers are now 16 cr to 20 cr meaning 30 cr to 35 cr to break even .

Hindi it did around 5 cr they are not bothered .

Mohanlal - Sivakarthikeyan film dropped

 Currently, Sivakarthikeyan has two projects nearing completion, Madharasi, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. After completing these two, he was preparing to begin work on the project with Mohanlal, directed by Vinayak Chandrasekaran. However, according to 123 Telugu, the collaboration may not happen anytime soon, as Mohanlal is tied up with other commitments. Mohanlal is enjoying the success of his recent theatrical release Thudarum and the re-release of his 2007 film Chotta Mumbai. Sivakarthikeyan, on the other hand, is also riding high on the massive success of Amaran. So, the news of both stars teaming up for a Kollywood project is naturally buzzworthy, especially since rumours about such a collaboration have been circulating for a while now.

The project is being helmed by director Vinayak Chandrasekaran. With Sivakarthikeyan on board, the makers have approached Mohanlal to play the role of Sivakarthikeyan’s father. Mohanlal, too, has reportedly agreed to be part of the film.

Sivakarthikeyan’s next release is Madharasi, which is expected to hit the silver screen on September 5, 2025. This A.R. Murugadoss directorial also stars Sanjay Dutt, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, and Shabeer Kallarakkal, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Next up for Mohanlal is Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The film also features Sangeetha, Siddique, Malavika Mohanan, Baburaj, and Sangeeth Prathap. It is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 28, 2025.

Now this has cast a shadow on the film Madharasi that has Sivakarthikeyan known as SK. If ARM has done SK film like Sikandar, then SKK will lose his new found Tier 1 status post Amaran. Also if you dive back into the SK film career graph, he gives one hit and on an average two flops. This time, maybe Sudha Kongara might restrict it to one flop as she kind of gets all right commercial elements to keep the guys rooting in Parasakthi SK’s action films have failed like Velaikaran, Seema Raja, Hero. Also SK from Remo usually has the 1 hit 1 flop record. Like he gives a hit like Remo then gives 2 flops with Velaikaran and Seema Raja, gave another hit with Kanaa and again gave the ultra disaster Mr. Local, he hit the bullseye with the profitable Namma Veetu Pillai then Hero’s disastrous performance spoiled his mojo, he then came back in his strong comedy genre with the super hits Doctor and Don, then struck by the horrible performance of Prince. Finally he gave a profitable film with an unique superhero movie in Maaveeran and then got hit by the long delayed Ayalaan which flopped at the box office. Now he have an all time blockbuster Amaran so IDK what will happen to Madarasi. I have very less hope on that as the producers are not even concerned to give updates for the film. I have moved to Parasakthi which is looking very promising. A R Murugadoss is smiling at reports that Sikandar is Sarkar remake. It is not. This ARM story was told to all big heroes after Sun dropped the proposal of ARM with Vijay. Vijay increased his price and so also ARM. Sun said that the overall budget for Vijay film cannot go beyond the limit they have put up and so ARM has to go back to his old rate or work it out with Vijay. Mohanlal Kannappa Poster gets trolled - Santosh Narayanan in ARM- Salmaan film

 Mohanlal poster of Kannappa the Telugu film is next in line for trollers after release. The earlier poster in which Mukesh Rishi and Brahmaji are seen in it. The two artists, otherwise extremely talented, are seen in get-ups that barely suit them. They are playing tribals who are fiercely protective of Dharma. Kannappa – A True Epic Indian Tale', Manchu Vishnu's most ambitious movie, is a December 2024 release. Its Teaser was unveiled in June.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role and is slated for release on April 25, 2025. The film, described as a pan-Indian project, is based on a true story and revolves around themes of bravery and devotion. Thalapathy Vijay political Manager Bussy Anand has hinted that Vijay 69 might not happen immediately as there are many issues regarding the political party Thamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam( TVK ) remains to be done. Producers of Game Changer has officially announced that the September schedule has been cancelled and shifted to October midweek as some actors are not available, In case of Salaar , Prasanth after seeing the film that was to release on September 28th told producers to cancel the release date. Now he is reshooting some parts and also working on the CG as he feels that it is not up to the mark. He also wants to shoot an item song featuring Prabhas with either Trisha or Aishwarya Rai. The movie 'Soppana Sundari' is directed by Charles, who previously directed 'Lockup', and features Aishwarya Rajesh as the lead actress.
