Top Actress to play Jeevajothi / Vicky in Amaran Director next/ Suhaas escape

Katest buzz is that Mohanlal has backed out from doing biopic on Sarvana Stores Late P Rajagopal . It is not known why the Actor backed out but we hear that many actors who intially agreed backed out as they got calls from top members of Nadar community asking them to not be part of it. Also we hear that a leadinf actres who was once a hearthrob and rcently made a comeback in an elderly role ( described by an younger actress as auntie role) is agreed to play role of Jeeva Jyoti the woman in Rahagoapl's life. The Producers are Junglee Pictures aa division of the Times Group and director is T J Gananvel of Jai Bhim fame. As noth are above any pressure , film is bound to go ahead. Now Sathyaraj is said to be approached. Sarathkumar could have been a right choice but he comes from Nadar clan. Raj Kiron could be next choice. Junglee Pictures have acquired the life rights of Jeevajothi Santhakumar, & are all set to bring to screen an untold story inspired by true events. #AStoryThatMustBeTold #Jeevajothis18YearStruggle #DosaKing.” Saravana Bhavan is a highly popular food chain that is spread across 20 countries across the globe, including the USA and the UK. Rajagopal found guilty by the court for kidnapping and murdering Prince Shanthakumar, who worked under him. After his death, Shanthakumar’s wife Jeevajothi fought hard to bring justice for her husband. Finally, Rajagopal (popularly known as Dosa King) was sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment by the Court. He died in 2019, days after he was arrested. He was aged 73.

Telugu actor Suhaas who made a cameo in OG rcently released had a narrow escape as the cinematographer crew of his first Tamil debut film met with a mishap in seas off Rameswaram. The crew escaped but lost a Rs 60 lakh worth Red One camera.The film has a unique bilingual approach. In the Tamil version, Soori plays the lead and Suhas is the villain. In the Telugu version, Suhas takes the lead, and Soori plays the antagonist. The project is creatively produced by Vetrimaaran.The film is written and directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and produced by Elred Kumar under RS Infotainment. Alongside Soori and Suhas, the cast includes Sathyaraj, Mahima Nambiar, Ravindra Vijay, Achyuth Kumar and Sachana Namidass.

DT Next reports The latest exclusive update we have for you is that Amaran has not only found new fans in actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif but they have also approached director Periasamy to do a film for them. The Director who is busy with Dhanush film will do the Vicky film sometime next year probably March 2026. Pre Production work will start along with Dhanush film production that starts in NOvember. Vicky completed 39 years in fillmdom. His recent Chaava was a blockbuster and next is Bhansali's Love and War.

Beyond this, the coming together of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj marks the end of a 38 year old feud between two actors. Last film they worked was Mr Bharat. A remake of Trishul the Big B Hindi film. Sathyaraj played father to Rajini in the film. In Hindi, the role was played by Sanjeev Kumar and with shades of grey. In the end, Sanjeev Kumar takes the bullet meant for Amitabh, his son from his love affair that he did not honour. Old timers tell us that the reason for Sathyaraj to be in the film was Rajini. Sathyaraj wrote an article Thamizh Da in which he praised Dr Vishnuvardhan the Tamil actor who made it big as Kannada Superstar and his stance on the Cauvery water issue and in same article referred Rajini as Sivaji Rao Gaikwad ( Real name that show Rajini’s Kannada Background). He also gave an interview in which he said that he would die if Rajini became CM as a non- Tamilan rule cannot be justified. It was clear that Sathyaraj statement was a personal one as he was an open admirer of MGR, a Malayali by birth. Years later it is said that Lokesh offered Sathyaraj a role that was parallel to Rajini and that of a antagonist . Sathyaraj was by now sitting with not less than 20 films in hand and widely basking as Kattappa. In his inimitable style, he did not hear out the role but instead asked Lokesh – You want to just have my name for the hype or because the role demands me ?. If you want me for hype, it will be costly. If the role demands, then it will be less. Now we will have to wait to see Coolie to know the truth. That the role is of a friend, we can expect that Sathyaraj is needed for his talent.

The super hit Hindi film gets adapted to Tamil audience taste by R J Balaji. As per Balaji, the Tamil audience especially the theater going crowd is waiting to swallow a film loaded with parental advice and sentimental melodrama since they have been given overdose of action masala in recent times. So second half is full of what you would say is Boomer Uncle stuff. I think this is just right for OTT audience.

You have a huge line up of seasoned actors like Sathyaraj - Urvasi onwards . Treat to see the veterans have not lost their touch. RJ Balaji as an actor does stand up to the heavyweights. Now if you are looking for Aparna Balamurali of 8 Thottakal - Suriya's SP, then you will be disappointed. Anybody could have done this over the top character. The film on the whole lacks finesse of the Hindi.
