Rajini Helicopter dash to Pondy - Priyadarshan back to Remake - Thug Life update

Pondy guys especially Thalaivar fans were surprised as they saw a helicopter with Rajinikanth hovering in the sky. Now don’t think that it was an aerial shot for Vettaiyan. Truth is that with heatwave conditions in this beach city, makers decided that a road journey from Chennai was not ideal. Even if the best air conditioned caravan was put to service, the heat outside was too much. Added to this there was a chance of a summer rain. Given this, next best was flying Thalaivar across to Pondy. Meanwhile there is a post saying that Thalaivar grandson Yatra secured 569 out of 600 and now the catch is that CBSE 12 Results are coming only on May 20. So is this inside info ? Papa Dhanush is in Mumbai shooting for Kubera and released a single from Raayan. At the same time, we are told that Priyan is doing a film with Akshay Kumar and that it is a fantasy comedy. No it is not a remake !!!. Akshay and Priyan at one time were a hot combo and later Akshay moved to Super League. In between an National award committee headed by Priyan gave Akshay a best actor award. So it was seen as a move to get Akshay’ dates. But nothing happened. Now Akshay badly needs to reinvent himself and so does Priyan.

Priyadarshan - Major Ravi supports Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar despite BJP's anti Asianet News

 

Rarely has a Union Minister needed support from film directors to bring out his true worth to his party men .Rajeev Chandrshekar MP from Karnataka being IT Minister in Union Cabinet so far known in political circles as  the Bengaluru based Malayali  who owns Asianet News , but film directors Priyadarshan and Major Ravi made an appeal to see the entry of this technocrat into Modi ministry as a major step towards revolutionizing the IT sector in Kerala. 

The Surendran  faction of  BJP thinks that Asianet News is out to discredit the party and those who rooted for elevation of Muralidharan position in Union cabinet are not too happy that Rajeev is seen as a Malayali representative in the Modi durbar.  Many (including the voters ) thought that Kumman Rajasekhar would be given a berth in Union ministry . This hope has been put to rest. Add to this Rajeev meets Narayana Paanicker of NSS ( Nair service society). No place for a IT minister to pay a visit.

Tamil Nadu BJP President Ganesan who managed to get four MLA seats ( though he lost narrowly) was rewarded with a Union ministry berth, So far in Kerala, BJP leaders who lost in polls found a berth as Governor or in the Union ministry. This time, Modi pulled a googly by appointing Rajeev. He was Vice Chairman of Kerala BJP in NDA. Malayali by birth, has right credentials like Illinois Institute of Technologu, advanced management program from Harvard, member of Vinod Dham team of Intel that developed 1796 processor. Elected on a Rajya Sabha ticket from Karnataka, Rajeev becomes Kerala- Karnataka rep .

The Kerala BJP President Surendran is angry that Asianet News ( No 1 in ranking) after the poll goes on about the party vote share dropping to dismal levels. They say that Asianet News is working against them and decided that the media house will not be invited to any party briefing or for any by Union ministers ( if held in Kerala). Now as a reply to this, Modi appoints the media house owner as MOS. Now will Rajeev not invite his own channel for media meeting in Kerala ?

To defuse this situation and make the likes of Surendran who are Kerala centric,  film directors Priyadarshan and Major Ravi, both BJP sympathizers , say don’t see this great technocrat of International reputation as just a Asianet News owner. He is much more than all that. Major Ravi drew a detailed history from Rajeev’s father being in IAF to the son behind the Flag of Honors Foundation. Major Ravi ( to those who ask Ravi who ?) has mastered the art of taking Malayalam movies on heroic Indian Army  activities.

Rajeev was among the top 50 powerful people list of India Today ( 2017). He had a major share in Republic TV but diluted it after becoming MP. Kerala BJP says that a party worker phoned to Asianet News and asked why the channel did not give enough coverage to poll violence in West Bengal?. The caller got a volley of abuses and so the channel is banned. Now the channel reporters say that BJP took a study of the airtime given to involvement of party men in Kodakara smuggling case and found that Asianet News had given the most time.

To the Karnataka BJP,  all this something that they have no interest as they are stubborn about Yedurappa leading the party in next poll.
