Ajith to Join Kamal - Lokesh LCU ? Dad Vijay Record Sale and Son title Out/ Lal- Major Ravi Clash

 

Latest buzz of Loki- Ajith combo is that there is a possibility of Kamal Haasan joining the group and be part of the LCU . A track from Vikram to start with Ajith new film. We know that Rajiinikanth backed out of film with Kamal to be directed by Lokesh and instead plumped for film with C Sundar  and later a film with Nelson. However a almost confirmed line of Ajith future setup is as follows : Lokesh has narrated 2 scripts to Thala. One was the negative role film that was narrated to Superstar. Another is a subtle yet violent action film written purely for Thala. Thala loved the second script and asked Lokesh to work on that. That would be the immediate project for both Thala and Lokesh following AK64 (for Thala) and DC (for Lokesh)

Kaidhi 2 is reportedly delayed and Karthi is concentrating in HIT 4, Sardar 2, Marshall part 1 and part 2 and another project with Sundar C. So Kaidhi 2 is delayed again. It won't happen in the near future. The pre production itself would take time.

Thala after Lokesh project will do another film with Adhik Ravichandran (AK66) and will do a film with Marco director Haseef Adini (AK67) and a film with FIR and Mr. X director Manu Anand (AK68).

Jana Nayagan’s Business Once Agan Proves The Stardom Of Vijay

Prime Video has purchased the film’s digital rights for 110 Cr, while Phars Films has acquired the overseas rights for 75 Cr. Tamil Nadu rights are bought by Romeo Pictures for 100 Cr, and Kerala rights are also bought by the same team for 15 Cr. With audio rights, the pre-business of the film already crosses 300 Cr, and if we add the Karnataka rights, satellite rights, and North India and Telugu states theatrical business, Jana Nayagan will easily do around 400 Cr overall business.

Jason Sanjay, son of Thalapathy Vijay, makes his directorial debut under Lyca Productions. Today, the makers revealed the film’s title with Sundeep Kishan leading the cast.

The movie is titled Sigma, and the first-look poster shows Sundeep in full action mode, seated on a pile of cash, clearly hinting at an action-driven storyline. Thaman is composing the music, and the shoot is underway. The film will release in both Tamil and Telugu, with the rest of the cast expected to be announced soon.

Director Major Ravi’s new announcement – Pahalgam: Op. Sindoor. He hasn’t named Mohanlal in the cast, but that didn’t stop social media from blowing up. The moment the project was revealed, fans began urging Mohanlal to stay away from it.

Their argument is simple: Major Ravi’s recent work hasn’t landed well, and they don’t want Lalettan slipping into another poorly received collaboration. Some even pointed out the director’s off-screen controversies as another reason to be cautious.

Some actors in Bala film has been attacked, Bala team has not mentioned about the source from where attack comes but it is obvious that it could be SK fans as his film Madharaasi released on same day. Though many say the film is heart touching many have found fault with narration.

Boney Kapoor who recently produced three films with Ajith Kumar confesses about the practice of Producers buying tickets to boost box office to foll the OTT platforms to pocket more money, Read on He began by saying, “This is my opinion and I may be wrong. But I feel that OTT is responsible. Satellite is responsible. In today’s times, the contracts related to the sale of OTT and satellite rights are linked to the box office figures. As per the contracts, if a film crosses the Rs. 100 crore mark, the platforms would give an additional Rs. 5 crores to the makers. If the film goes past Rs. 120 crores, Rs. 5 crores more would be given.” Boney continued, “By the time the OTT platforms realize, picture lag ke hit ho chuki hai books mein! Moreover, there are not many distributors. The studios themselves release the film. The important thing to consider is that the kharcha spent on buying tickets will go under ‘promotional activity’! So, it will be taken as an expense.”

Boney Kapoor feels that this practice will be short-lived, “Sooner or later, everybody will get smart. The producers are (indulging in this practice), as their contracts are valid which were signed long back. Ab woh phasenge jinki nayi filmein banegi; in the sense that reality will strike.”

The most expensive remake rights were of a film that I have not made so far, Comali (2019). I paid Rs. 3.5 crores for its rights. Abhi tak bani nahin hai woh picture. I have now given the rights to Luv Ranjan. He has the Hindi rights while I have the all-India rights, that is, the rights to remake in all languages.” Said Boney. He said that he would come back to Tamil and make two films. “Initially, her 4-5 Hindi films were dubbed. She felt her performance was compromised. So, she learned Hindi. She would have a Hindi teacher in the dubbing studio. That’s how she started dubbing on her own. For Mom (2017), she dubbed for the Tamil and Telugu version. For the Malayalam version, there was a dubbing artist. Yet, she sat with her to see that the dubbing was in sync with the performance. Prithviraj Direct OTT Release lukewarm / Casting Managers of Kollywood

 Sarzameen, in its debut week, garnered a lukewarm viewership of 4.5 million, taking the top spot in the list of the most-watched streaming originals in India for the week of July 21 – July 27 as per Ormax data. It surpassed Tourist Family, Bhool Chuk Maaf and others. It will be interesting to see if Prithviraj and Ibrahim Ali Khan’s film will enter the top 5 most-viewed films of 2025 (excluding Netflix). Currently, the 5th spot is owned by Test, which garnered 6.5 million in its lifetime.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Kajol have managed to bring the second biggest debut for a film on OTT. However, it is the biggest debut week viewership for an original film on OTT other than Netflix. Surpassing every single Hindi film of 2025 except for Kesari Chapter 2, it is roaring with its numbers!

 Dharma Productions rule the OTT game owning the top two spots for the biggest debut for a non-Netflix film. Kesari Chapter 2, was a theatrical to OTT release, with a viewership of 5.7 million. This is followed by Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj’s film, which is also produced by Dharma Productions.

What makes it jarring is that Allu Arjun comes third and the run of the film Pushpa 2 across India is much ahead of the above two actors. So where is NTR Jr ? He is on 8th. Then we have two mega duds Akshay and Salman in last two. Out of this 10, five are from Tollywood and two from Kollywood and rest from Bollywood. So has KGF Yash lost his Pan India status ?. Looks like Toxic will have a tough road ahead.

Ajith Kumar Good Bad Ugly and Dhanush, Idly Kadai , both who are currently given box office disasters are set to compete on April 10th. Now there are reports that Dhanush film Idly Kadai will pull out from this date as he acts and directs it . The total India net collection of NEEK directed by Dhanush now comes to 5.67 crore*. The film is now inching towards 6 crores and end up as a theatre disaster. The opening was just about Rs 1.5 crore. The total losses of Vidamuyurchi is much higher than the Ajith’s s salary. Given that both are having a disaster history, does it matter , if they moves away from competition ? Dhanush Directorial NEEK in three days has crashed .. As NEEK does not have Dhanush as hero, he can say that that Idly Kadai is a different ball game as he and Nithya Menen the Thiruchitrambalam pair is featuring in this. Kamal Haasan makes way for Balakrishna for Netflix viewers ,Daaku Maharaaj has surpassed the debut views of many South Indian films released on Netflix between 2024-2025. It has left behind Kamal Haasan‘s Indian 2 (1.7 million) by 41% higher views. The action-adventure has also axed Kadhalikka Neramillai (2.2 million), Meiyazhagan (1.9 million), Savi (1.8 million), Bagheera (1.7 million) and Rifle Club (1 million), among others. The action-adventure remained behind Dhoom Dhaam, the only other Indian film in the top 10. Yami Gautam & Pratik Gandhi starrer landed at the second spot with its staggering viewership of 5.8 million in its second week. The makers of the film dropped the exciting mass number 'Dabidi Dibidi' as Daaku Maharaaj movie's third single. Featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bollywood's sultry actress Urvashi Rautela, the song received backlash for the dance steps composed by Sekhar master. Ajith Visamuyurchi picks up after Day 2 lull / Alanceir calls Big B and Rajini Bad actors

Ajith’s Vidaamiuyarchi is facing a tough situation at the box office on the second day itself. Ajith and Magizh Thirumeni’s action thriller was released in theaters this Thursday and emerged as the career biggest opener for Ajith with around 50 Cr gross. Even getting 20 Cr gross itself looks very tough on day 2, which is definitely a bad sign for the film’s box office. The movie must see a big jump in the two days to get a good total at the box office. on 2nd day the film saw a big drop in numbers and collected around 20 Cr gross worldwide. The positive sign for the film is after the drop in the morning, matinees and other later shows had a good jump, and today, the film is trending better than yesterday. Vidaamuyarchi 2 Days Box Office Collections are out now, and to achieve the breakeven, Ajith’s film should collect around 225 Cr gross, and the recovery is just around 30%. The film needs to have a huge jump over the weekend.

The latst reports say that Vidaamuyarchi release date is locked and said to have informed their distributors that they are getting ready to release the film on 30th January. Sources say that discussions with the production team of Hollywood film, Breakdown, and a solution is expected to arrive very soon .January end release has no holidays but the producers have only that release option as Ajith’s Good Bad and Ugly (GBF) release date has been announced. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has all the potential to get North Indian audience but it looks like that Hrithik Roshan – NTR Jr’s WAR is coming on that date. Pushpa 2 is massive success in Hindi Belt. There are ofcourse people in denial still 🙄.

Now ever since this movie became success. Certain motivated fans (No marks for guessing) and certain PR machinery who thinks massive success of Pushpa 2 in Hindi belt might undermine their star hero’s success recently started spreading this message

“Pushpa 2 is made for chapris and by chapris”

First of all I did not understand “ By chapris” are these guys saying South Indians or telugus are chapris. That's pretty racial to me.

Next this is high quality bhojpuri movie is another comment. This is already demeaning bhojpuri movie. Also movies is about a labourer who became a smuggler. He is uneducated . You expect him to speak in Bollywood porche Bandra style Hindi accent and do a duet with srivalli in foreign locales.

I really don't understand this commentary from motivated fans.

It's a stupid of many to try and undermine their own audience as chapri. Their actions and statements are motivated and with full jealousy.

Ajith Good Bad Ugly only release in 2025 : A vacuum hits Kollywood

 

The news that Ajith is going for car racing and that too he has formed a team of his own is good news for sports lovers but not for Kollywood. Alread Thalapathy Vijay next film will be his last as he enters full time politics. After Thug Life, Kamal has only a Kalki sequel that is confirmed. That leaves only Rajinikanth to keep box office window busy next year. The most worrying part is that next saleable heroes - Dhanush - Suriya- Sivakarthikeyan highest box office collections so far are way below the top 4 of Kollywood.

Ajith is going to take part in  GT4 European Series . the GT4 European Series calendar has now been completed with a return to Italy and Barcelona resuming its spot as the title decider.

Ajith in Kurt Russel role - No takers for Simbhu - Jude Anthany film

A big starrer film in Tamil has to be an adaptation from an Hollywood or Korean film. Now our sources in Hyderabad tells us that Vidamuyurchi starring Ajith is the Kurt Russel film Breakdown released in 1077. The plot - On their cross-country drive, a married couple, Jeff (Kurt Russell) and Amy Taylor (Kathleen Quinlan), experience car trouble after an accident. Stranded in the New Mexico desert, the two catch a break when a passing truck driver, Red Barr (J.T. Walsh), offers to drive Amy to a nearby café to call for help. Meanwhile, Jeff is able to fix the car and make his way to the café, only to find his wife missing and Barr claiming ignorance. Jeff then begins a frenzied search for Amy.

Although made in 1997, mobile phones and video-games both feature in Breakdown, but just not in the prominent way that they would if the film was made today. The locals mock Jeff’s car as being reliant on a computer. Here Magizh Thirumeni has the advantage to freak out on today’s technology and as the original film has lot of car chases , Ajith’s real life car racer comes as an advantage. Actor J T Walsh as the villain truck driver gave a terrific performance, and his glassy-eyed nonchalance works wonders in the film. Arjun essays the role. Yet another baddie is Aarav who essays a truck driver. The film was on Amazon Prime till February 2024. Breakdown reminds one of the all time cult movie The Vanishing.

Jude Anthany pf 2018 Malayalam film fame finds that his Tamil debut film hero Simbu is his biggest hurdle in getting Producers. Jude has a budget of Rs 150 crores for his project. 2018 was made at Rs 26 crores and banked heavily on the subject to pull in audience. As per a settlement deal, Vels had to get Simbu dates. However after hearing the budget , Producer has said no. AGS and Dil Raju were to jointly collaborate. Here again Dil Raju has a Game Changer hanging on his head and so he is not ready. Jude does not understand that Rs 150 crores budget can be for A listers and it does not include Simbu. Simbu is part of Thug Life and has a Design Periasamy directed film that Kamal’s Production was to produce. Here again, the project might change hands and Vels might step in. Many feel that Jude is in a hurry to be a A listed Directors on lines of Lokesh- ARM- Shankar- Atlee.

Andhagan Anthem not mine- Santosh Narayanan - Ajith in KGF universe a fake story

Music Industry is shocked that a music label like Sony Music has been accused by a top notch music composer Santosh Narayanan of altering the lines and music arrangement and releasing it.
