The decline of Sun TV, King of Soaps was evident in 8th week TRP. Except fpr Roja in the 5th place, all top 4 slots are with Star Vijay. Pandian Stores at 4th, Bhagyalakshmi- Pandian Stores combo at 3rd, 2nd is Bhagyalakshmi and Bharathi Kannamma at No 1.
The top 10 list shows that all of Sun TV soaps in the 7.30 -9 PM , considered the prime time is in below 6th rank. A sea change in audience taste !!!. Zee Tamizh has fared as usual poorly. Sun TV's Sunday movie is the only one that can claim to be in top 5. The TRP is on the Urban- Rural audience rating together. Star Vijay has breached the rural market held by Sun TV.
Apart from soaps, Star Vijay's reality shows like Cook with Comali and Star Singer are garnering high TRP.
