Kangana Raut on Thalaivi role - Director rejected me first for my accent

 

Kangana Raut was in Chennai for Thalaivi trailor launch. She wore Anamika Khanna organza saree with pale blush colour with work done in blue along with silver sleeveless blouse. She wore a statement jewellery. Her subtle makeup was by Albert Chettiar who works for Mouni Roy.

She spoke about her auditioning for the role. She said later after the audition, she met director Vijay who told her he was still doing the auditions and had zeroed in on a girl from the Charminar city who had the perfect Tamil accent. She complimented South filmdom for not having groups. She got emotional while talking about director Vijay.
