Hindi market took a beating as Master was dubbed and released like a Hindi film by B4U. The major release in North India for a Vijay film was Puli which had Sreedevi in it. Master was bought for Rs 6 cr and after 6 days, the gross stands at Rs 2.05 cr and most metros had only 8% occupancy for 230 shows in Mumbai and 245 shows in Delhi. The surprise is that Master’s Hindi remake rights has been bought for Rs 10 cr even after the film having miserably rejected by Hindi audience is something one cannot fathom. One of the buyers is the person who bought Arjun Reddy and remade it as Kabir Singh , which was a hit. The buyers one of whom is Endemol Shine, producers of Bigg Boss show in the South had seen the film before release in Hyderabad and agreed to buy. If the film’s Hindi dubbed version had been a hit, then what will the buyers do?. Remake the dubbed Hindi film which is a hit ?.
Overseas collection is the best with Rs 34 cr approximate for 6 days. The rights was sold for Rs 15 cr.
