Adani Group to enter showbiz through Karan Johar's Dharma Productions

 

After Reliance,  Adani Group is to enter film production through Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Adani will acquire a 30% share in Karan Johar’s company. Lyca which launched `Don’ starring Sivakarthikeyan has a five film deal with Karan Johar .Johar had announced the Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA).  Cornerstone agency   represents sportsmen exclusively; it manages Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Murali Vijay and Umesh Yadav, all of whom are in the current Indian Test team, as well as Ishant Sharma. The magnum opus Brahmastra, Shershaah, Dostana 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Fighter( Vijay Devarakonda’s Hindi launch), Shakun Batra’s next all from Dharma Productions are in different stages of production. The deal with Adani will bring in the much needed cash flow. Johan’s protégé Shashank Khaitan’s four of his films – Rannbhoomi, spy thriller with Varun Dhawan, Mr. Lele and now Yoddha have been shelved.  The money invested to prepare the projects has gone waste.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd, (APSEZ), India’s largest port developer and part of the Adani Group,is constructing  the first berth at India’s premier and ambitious international transhipment project in Vizhinjam, Kerala. Apart from the transhipment hub in Vizinjham, it is also currently setting up a container terminal at Ennore in Tamil Nadu. Adani's expansion at Kattupalli Port near Chennai.is under attack by DMK and allies. it has won a Rs 1,838-crore highway project from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Kerala. Adani Group will build a hyperscale data centre (DC) in Chennai with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore which will be named Adani Chennai-1.. Adani operate South Indian airports-Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram
