Vijay 69 is a remake of the Telugu film “Bhagavanth Kesari” starring Balakrishna , Sreleela and Kajol. This was confirmed by VTV Ganesh who acted in the Telugu film in the role of a minister. He said that Anil Ravipudi who directed Balakrishna film had declined to do a remake. Vijay liked the film and saw it at least five times. The message in the film is that girls should be encouraged to be self-reliant, and that our daughters should not be restricted to domestic life alone.
