Vanniyar boycott Rajini hashtag trending - Nayanthara exit and Leo updates

The hashtag #VannyasrBoycottRajinikanth is trending on X platform. Vanniyars say that Thalaivar 170’s director T J Gananavel in his previous film Jai Bhim showed their community in poo light and if the director does not apologize then the theatres screening the Rajini film will face attacks from the community members. Rajinikanth film Baba faced attacks from Vanniyar after their leader S Ramodoss objected to smoking scenes in posters and cutouts. Some theatres were vandalized and prints taken away. PMK leader Ramadass has not said anything about the hashtag.

Nayanthara has exited the film that is produced by ace director Lokesh Kanakaraj. Lokesh has written the story and has Raghava Lawrence as hero. Director is Ratna Kumar who directed Aadai starring Amala Paul. Reasons for her exit is not known. After seeing the Leo trailer, many took to social media to show similarities between Leo and The History of violence , a Hollywood film. On the business front, Leo will be first Tamil film to enter Rs 100 crore club in opening day. The violence created by fans at a theatre screening Leo trailer reached the court. Police said that no action was taken as there was no complaint and taking Suo moto action would be termed as targeting Vijay fans.
